  • Chickadees are one of my favourite birds. Last weekend, I was successful in having one land on my hand to eat peanuts. A small flock of about 10 (or 12 - they are so quick) birds were stocking up for the winter at our feeder. Between the chickadees and the chipmunks, we are going through a ton of seed! - roc

  • That is soooo cool!!!

  • They are such pretty little birds. :)

  • Nice video...how do u keep the squirrels away?

  • The upper floor of my house overhangs the main floor in the front by about a foot. The bird feeder hangs from a hook on the underside of the overhang fairly close to the window. The squirrels haven't yet figured out how to reach it. I can easily reach it from indoors to fill it by opening the window from the top.

  • The squirrels have now figured out how to reach it. I have changed to using safflower seeds for the birds at that feeder, and I put sunflower seeds on the ground for the squirrels and any ground feeders who want it.

  • In Sweden we have a very similar bird called Talltita.. or Willow Tit in English, but like Gumley pointed out, it's also similar to the Great Tit..

  • Don't know what your bird is, but we have one similar over here called a Great Tit.

  • These are black capped chickadees, which are also in the tit family. If you do a search on them, some sites have their song.

  • nice video!

  • Great music selection. Love watching them birdies.
