ba xr8 is 5.9 sec (manual) never chacked the auto
for all the holden lovers, you can campare a stock xr or gt against a stock ss or clubbie you'll find that ford has the rwkw every time unless someone has done some work to it and not said anything
all i done to my xr8 is cold air growler bow and 3" exhaust with high flow catswith headers and i'm pushing 235 rwkw
this thing is really slow compared to a HSV. When my HSV was stock it would destroy this car off the line and top end speed without a fuss. In the FG models the V8 is much improved but still no match for the chev

actually the boss engine is underrated imo being 10% smaller than the gm engine yet pulling more weight and regardless of the 1/4 mile time bosses usually have very good trap speed, commy`s also have had advantage until the latest model of having shorter gearing 1st 2nd and 3rd,HSV`s were even shorter in the first 3 gears, and actually the current boss is better on fuel use .

damn right. The GT's best was 6.1 seconds. For its modern engine layout (quad cam, 32-valves etc), it uses way too much petrol (loads more than stock Holdens and HSVS's), has a horrible torque output, has a really small power band and weighs the same as an army tank. Its a pretty bad engine. The Holden modified LS engines are alot better in every way. And this ain't fan talk, this is truth. But I'm expecting a mindless ford fanatic to counter this reply with mindless swearing. No surprise.

ok fair call. maybe i might make another maxing it out with a fast take off. noticed when i back off at 140km/hr . i'm only in 3rd with 3 more gears to go. look at some HSV VIDEOES and watch how slow their speedo climbs after 150km hour. by no means is my car an unmodded rocket . but it is stock. i simply think it does match any stock V8 OUT THERE . and i dont think RWKW's @ top end , is a true performance indicator . but you can tell it performs it's best at the top end of the rev scale.
I remember St.Machine Fords getting 245 rw/kw out of the auto BA GT. Ford may have underquoted the power figure on purpose as it would be a disater if for some reason their cars put out less than the quoted figure, like what happened with the EB GT Falcon.

the MKII ba gt came out with a ultimate acc beep. The rev limiter cuts in at about 300 rpm above the beep. FPV reckon changing on the beep will give max acceleration, I GOTTA SAY to people who watch this video. that i was taking it for an exhaust and induction noise purpose. could've done a little better on 0-100 time as i tookoff rather slow ( and had traction on) but still i was happy and able to time it . i see it keeps up with any stock ve 6 litre hsv

264 rwkw. which is approx 330 TO 350 engine kw. the car has a catback exhaust and CAI.
