  • I'm sorry, no. The movie was awful. Over four hours of non-events and flat, disjointed narrative. There are no characters to speak of besides Che, and even Che is rendered as a sort of two-dimensional, strangely passive and distant character totally lacking in charisma. In addition, there is no dramatic tension or ever any sense of buildup. A criminally boring film.

  • its rated "R"

  • what is it rated ?

    great review

  • he fought in guatemala first

  • I'm reading che guevara= a revolutionary life, by jon lee anderson, i've nearly finished. He never fought in guatamala, he was there during the riots, but he never actually fought.

  • good review. thanks for posting

  • Thanks very much - you're welcome.

  • Great question. Overall I'd characterize the film as a drama movie. Che Part One is almost all drama and development. Che Part Two is mainly action, coming to life more vividly with a less stationary camera than in Part One.

  • Would you say its more a action/war movie or a drama kind of movie?

  • great review! 5 stars!

  • Thanks very much -- I'm glad you appreciated it!
