Read about Tera Shirma on another site. I'd always ask my parents about that building right as soon as they'd hope off the Lodge & head towards Fenkell. Unfortunately it was gone while I was still a little kid. Thanks for keeping the history alive.
See the 'Critic's Review' of one of my personal rave-fave jams; you'll catch it when ya tune into "Sunshine (Where's Heaven?)" by Stoney & Meatloaf furnished by a bloke named tig1960.
I hope you enjoy the book. Russ' book loosely picks up where "Road" leaves off and deals with his L.A experiences, for the most part. I appreciate your enthusiasm.
I should have mentioned that I did a piece on Tom Baird in my first book, "The Road Through Motown". That one is available through Amazon and Barnes and Nobel.
Coo-Ell! Have you any memoirs or reminiscences of one of the unheralded geniuses of all music? I speak of The Late Great Tom Baird; A staff producer, composer, arranger who worked with Diana Ross, Rare Earth, Stevie Wonder, X.I.T., Gladys Knight & Pips, ad infinitum. Even fronted a pop trio called Matrix with Jobete writers Zesses & Fekaris.
His death in '75 was true genius forever lost.
But might ya spare some words about Baird and mebbe Ron Miller? Just a thought, that's what Eienstein said.
In my soon to be released book, "Russ Terrana's Motown" I do a chapter on Ron Miller. Good idea regarding Tom Baird. We did some producing together. He was a musical genius.
