  • Hey Acephincter, I have a question for you: Can you achieve an effect that streches a sample but DOES alter the pitch? EX: ''hey baby i loooo000000000ooove you!''

(in between the 000oooo's it lowers the pitch) I have an example used in another youtube video: /watch?v=op7ljmEpWKM At 1:44 an automation stretches the audio.

Do you know how to do this?

    Thanks.

  • @sorajsm Totally. Just use the built-in "Sampler" channel instead of the Granulizer tool. That will give you both. time and pitch when you mess with the pitch knob. Thanks for your question.

  • 6:16 LOL he forgot to set the random back to 0% "...choose what position..." *click* "exAAcusAAeAAmAAe" *click* "...sorry."

  • there's a tv channel owner in brazil called "Silvio Santos", his voice is JUST LIKE this sample talking ! LOOOOLLL

  • lolol blazing saddles

  • check out my new beat and comment plz

  • everytime i hear your name, i think "a sphincter"

but you got good tutorials, though haha

  • @JayGOMH he he I think he did that on purpose

  • me to haha

  • where do you get your sounds/samples?

  • Ace, you are an FL trailblazer... I love the way you just wing shit.

  • @deeyou1 Thanks dude!

  • great effect! Now how do I achieve it in Logic? lol

  • ace thanks for this great vid ....this is how hardstyle vocals are done with the granulizer at extreem settings

  • youtube works good for help like this guy

but there are some youtube addicted fucks that i just te cause they spend their life on doing stupid things like 10000 of chipmunk videos and gets like 3 million views and think that tthey done something very experimental because they can change the pitch and speed of a voice so they sound like a chipmunk :P

  • Thanks AcePincter, wicked tutorial, learned a lot of new stuff today =D thanks again!

You know how to explain it clearly, calmly and with a bit of fun too. I definitely enjoyed it.

    Cya,

    Martinezz

  • I was looking for granulizer voice , I am beatboxer , so I am trying to do it =)

  • ha ha Blazing Saddles

  • COULD YOU PICK A FUNNIER SAMPLE???

    NO!!! lmao!!!

  • You can also create a granulizer for a sample by right clicking on the sample in the directory lists to the left (F8) and select Granulizer.

  • @vstman!

Thanks you for this tip I didn't know how to open it!!!! :D Thanks! :P

  • Heya Ace, Just a quick thankyou for all your tuts.. I,m subscribed and always lookin forward to your vids!! I,m a kiwi and was stoked to see your in Blenheim. I,m in Welly. Anyway thanks again.

  • Hey Ace,

Great tutorial on the granulizer. I'm still trying to learn how to use it. is there any way you could give me a base line settings that I could start with. I can't see in the video what all the controls are set to. Then I could slowly and incrementally play with the other controls so I could start to understand it better?

    Thanks

  • @acedrumsnyc Treat the default settings as though they were baseline. A sample should should sound pretty true to the original when played at middle C on the keyboard. Use Middle C as the note you experiment with. That should help.

  • i dont even want to kno wt he wanted to whip out

  • very nice, thank!

  • tbk aret de parler pi fait tes calis de beat

  • Great explaination! Sorted thanks!

  • isnt the sample from Blazing Saddles?

oh and how do you make a video like this? like i want to show tutorials and my camera sucks. so how can i make my videos as if the audience is looking at a computer screen right there?

  • @iamforrest I use a free tool called WMENCODER (windows media encoder) to capture my screen with no camera involved.

  • is it just me, or did the granulizer get eliminated in FL8?

  • No , i have fl8 xxl producer edition and it's stil there.

  • where is it??

  • with the plugin list^^

  • hit CTRL F8 and look for it , maybe it isn't in the favs

  • @pvictoradrian Thanks for helping out

  • great tut! u know what ur talkin about

  • u did the Martrix sound !!!!! damn ur dope man .

  • Great tutorial! You sound very intelligent. Thank u very much for this. Us Inquiring noobs want to know!

  • i could not have said it any better

  • Thanks for the video! I have a question though....

When I'm triggering two different Granulizer channels, once I let the key go on one channel it cuts off the other channel that's playing. How do I make it so I can trigger one key and another at the same time but have it not cut off both keys when I let the key go?

  • So if you try to stretch someone who's singing eeee, that's really easy lol

  • This is soooo funny because I was working on music in fl while viewing your channel. It was driving me mad (im new) trying to pitch shift my samples keeping them in the same tempo, then I found the granulizer and was like, YES, finally! Then i went back to viewing your channel and found this! Crazy coincidence!!

  • whats this knob do?

  • BOOM!!! xD

  • excuse me while i whip this out! ahhh

  • lol..

  • I found this to be really helpful for me. I was a person who didnt understand the granulizer at all. I wished the video was clearer and I wished a it showed a beat made using it

  • just read up on it

  • You did some pretty good examples with your own mouth lol. Sounded almost real. lol. This is helpful. I'm trying to figure out how to make my voice real deep kind of like how Birdman and Wayne do in "Pop Bottles". Can you point me in the right direction?

  • very helpful man... although the sample selected to demonstrate is rather irritating and too loud

  • It's a hard choice. I had a lot of samples, but I needed something with an even mix of recognizable voice and also a constant tone/noise section.

  • i understand... great job nonetheless :-) thanks man

  • Great tutorials man. I never quite got the hang of the granulizer other than for making random weird noises and I probably still won't know what to do with it after watching this vid. But it's interesting anyway and you make it fun.

  • thanks :D

  • how do you get other channels throu granulizer? i can only get samples into it :S help me out ! :p (or is it posible?)

  • can't. But, you can download "KTGranulator" which is a pretty good granulizing effects VST. Free. Granulizer only accepts samples.

  • Thanks these little individual tool tutorials help, especially since they're so many of them in FL.
