They thought the physics would be better if the CanyonCar (a.k.a., ValleyCar) was in the Canyon eviromment. So they left Valley alone until 9 months later Canyon is released.

@MrYesmanII Canyon will be a environment on Trackmania 2 , but they decided to put Canyon in the name , so its basically the same game with the name changed.

TrackMania 2 is the complete game and used to refer to all five planned environment releases - TrackMania 2: Canyon is simply the name given to the first Environment release, as the environments are being released periodically and seperately. This shows off the environment Valley, which was cancelled as they didn't think they were going to be able to finish Valley before release. Canyon, therefore, is the most complete environment right now.

For everyone saying they want collisions on Track mania, well, Trackmania is a game about skills to get the best possible time in any track, adding collisions would make it lose its purpose, also there would be some annoying people people who would want to crash into our cars just turn faster and make us lose control or just stay in the middle of a tack on purpose... It'd be annoying in my point of view...

@C94B Yes, there will be realistic visual damage. But not from car-to-car collisions. It will be damage obtained from crashing into objects in the environment. Also, the environment shown in this video is Valley. The first environment being released this year is Canyon. Valley will come later (probably sometime next year). You can see more about it on the official maniaplanet forums.
