its sooo easy on computer, keep your usp and and grab the m9 and you can rape...i got 100% accuracy and a base time of 28, when everything was shaved off because of civilians and accuracy it was 23.5 or something close to that...

@skad4 Hauppauge doesn't record in 1080p. That's only achievable through HDMI. It's somewhat pointless to play in the Xbox 360's 1080p format because it actually isn't 1080p native. Most games are only 720p, and it's just upscaled to 1080p, so in reality, makes the quality worse when blowing up the image higher than it actually outputs.

Im getting a hauppauge hd pvr next week, your quality is top notch, even when only played in 360p. My question, will i get a bad delay when recording? As most of my videos will be rock band recordings, timing is everything, or will i be able to get by without screwing around with latency settings?

@xSporkHero Thanks for the compliments. To answer your question: Use your TV for playing and your computer for recording. You should not be using your computer for playing at this point as there will be a second of lag. Your TV will not lag, just the recording process will. Do not substitute your computer as a means for playing.

Hey quick question about your capture card does it generate a screen delay on your tv or in other terms a .5 second delay when you play your video games? I have a dazzle and it does that to me i was wondering if the samething applies here?

@PachecoOwnz It has to have a delay to process the video. You should NOT be using this capture card or any other card as a monitor as it will always be a delayed response.

@PachecoOwnz Well, I prefer this Hauppauge HD PVR the most until I get a HDMI capture device (which is the Matrox MXO Mini2). This definitely lags a bit but again, it has to in order to process the video through the USB.

@bmwooden13 EyeTV is Mac only. But when you purchase the Hauppauge HD PVR 1212, it comes with software for Windows only. You will have to buy EyeTV for Mac.

The Hauppauge recording device uses USB to record, so that's why it takes like one or two seconds to see your action on the recording. This isn't an error. It's just processing the information through the USB connection.

It costs around $200. You need a laptop or desktop (Windows or Mac) with a USB port. It comes with Windows software for recording, but if you use a Mac, you must get EyeTV program.

Directly from the recording software? Sounds like your computer can't handle playing it back smoothly. Upgrading might do the trick.

@xXRequiremXx I used the EyeTV program, capturing at 8-12Mbps on this one. But it's not the best quality; if you pause the video, you can see artifacts. The Hauppauge outputs in H264 but in its own format, so it's best to convert out of EyeTV with uncompressed video like the Animation codec, then if you need to edit it in Final Cut, put that in the program, then export it back out H264-best with multi-pass with barely no quality loss.

The best/most compatible format is making sure the video is in H264 codec and AAC for audio. If unfamiliar with codecs, a great, free program that works with both Windows and Mac is MPEG Streamclip.

Exporting from EyeTV as ProRes codec is probably the best for playback. With animation codec, it's probably not good for smooth playback. Animation codec has a little bit better blacks and just a bit more lively color when putting that next to a ProRes still image, but no one's gonna notice. -- This is if you need to edit the video in another program. For just an easy export from EyeTV, use the H264 re-encode.

@thestillknight Anything under 30 seconds gets you the Pit Boss achievement. The final time is 24 seconds on this video. Most people assume to go by the time at the very top. But if you're accurate and seamless enough, it cuts a few seconds off.
