@realitaetsvlerust i used to think so too and its a common belief. I might not be the greateast expert but i deal a lot with these genres for my work. It is truth that techno is often used as an umbrella term for all those styles but techno is actually a genre with its typical sound and codes. I suggest you search about it, beatport is a good website to look for those genres.
