  • I love this song, the riff is gritty and dirty like it should be. I picked up how to play it within the second listen of the song. :D I like it a lot, and Johnny looks really cute on here too.

  • haha u can well tell johnny cant be arsed wi that guy talkin to him @1:27. one of them knobheads who drunkenly just blabbers into your ear proper loud!

  • they all sure is resting well now.

  • RIP Dee Dee and Johnny Thunders

  • According to what I remember Dee Dee saying in one interview he claimed that he wrote 3/4 of the song, and hell put in the "plaster's falling on the wall, my girlfriends crying in a shower stall" verse. He also claimed that he played it for Thunders when it was at the 3/4 mark and Johnny didn't really like it and a few month later he walks into a club and he saw Thunders playing it live.

  • richard hell wrote "plaster's falling on the wall, my girlfriends crying in a shower stall" verse.

  • Watch the "Can Dee Dee Come Out and Play" documentary, he explains who wrote what and why. It was Dee Dee's girlfriend that was crying in the stall.

  • Well, it's no wonder that Dee Dee and Johnny are together in heaven! Guess they are still fighting it out...God bless them both & all of us!!!!

  • Dee Dee wrote the song and played it for Johnny, told him that he (Johnny) could use the song and Johnny told him he didn't like it, then ended up playing it all the time. Just listen to the guitars, you can totally tell that's Dee Dee's writing.

  • never witnessed a bad show by Johnny Thunders

and was at most of the gig in grand ole NYC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Song speaks for itself.

  • PURE rock and fucking ROLL

  • Didn't Billy Rath become a minister up in New England or something?

  • billy rath is dead?

  • chinese rocks was a potent brand name heroin back in the mid -n - late 70s... sure johnny had something to do with the song! great tune....

  • It's Dee Dee's song.

Hopefully, he hit you in the nose in the after life, thunders.

  • And again for trying to steal his luggage in Paris...

  • I dunno about the luggage in Paris, but DeeDee gave Thunders the song because the Ramones didn't want to play it. They thought it was too drug-related.

  • originally written by richard hell and dee dee ramone, thank you.

  • there's a big problem over the credits for this one, to be honest. if we check out the credits on "end of the century", there's no mention of Richard Hell, neither Lure nor Thunders. the same is in 2002 reissue of LAMF - song is credited to Joey, Johnny and Dee Dee.

But it's true that Dee Dee told later he wrote this one with Hell in Debbie Harry's apartment :)

  • Yep.

  • Quite right. Dee Dee wrote most of it and Richard Hell finished it out. Johnny SHOULD have gotten some writting credit though, as the guitar solo was his. When the Ramones put it on their album the credited Joey and Johnny andDee Dee with no mention of Hell. However in the ASCAP archives it says that Hell and DeeDee are the authors. BUT you are wrong on one thing...DeeDee said in his autobiography he wrote it by HIMSELF (not with Hell) at Debbie Harry's place.

  • wow!

  • awesome-thanks for uploading this version.
