  • how much did this gun cost?

  • Beautiful AR sir. I laughed on the Little Debbie cake comment.

  • Comment removed

  • Just a Little Debbie cake or maybe a Twinkie instead? =)

Bon-Bon's would be too wide I guess.

  • if you are ever hiring let me know!

  • Great review! Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that most of those mag floor-plate grabbers/handles are for when your in a hurry, and fishing for a new mag out of the mag pouch?

Great looking weapon, wish I could afford another liberty tool right now. you can never have too many!

  • A one 1:8 or 1:7 barrel option would be nice in this Del-Ton configuration.

  • Finally! A place to store snack foods!! About F'in time! How many peanut M&M's will it hold?

  • @Gunblastdotcom is there anything to stop us from simply putting the troy accessory kit on a stock Del-Ton DT sport and saving a few bucks?

  • Nothing, but to use that handguard on a carbine, you must have a low-profile gas block.

    Jeff

  • Nice. Thank you!

  • I am seriously considering a Del ton rifle kit.

  • Nice weapon. I love that the item he chose to mention storing in the butt stock was a little debbie cake. lol

  • little Debbie cake.lol

  • damn impressive MOA for wolf.

  • This is not the Wolf ammo that is sold in bulk with the laquered steel cases. This is premium brass-cased match grade ammunition. It is not made in the same factories as the cheap junk. It is just marketed here by Wolf.

  • Shame they put a chrome-lined 9" twist BBL in it - your lucky you got 1" out of that. They should have done their homework and put a SS 7 or 8" twist in it for better accuracy. I think they may have missed the mark.

  • There is no reason to believe that a faster twist would deliver better accuracy. A faster twist is better at stabilizing long bullets, but does not improve accuracy. The best competitive match shooters in the world prefer as slow of a twist that will stabilize the bullet.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom Not sure why my original reply this morning didnt show up however with the loads you used, I am confident that a faster twist would help in a 16" bbl. I've seen 3" groups at 500 yards from a White Oak Armement .223 SS bbl.. and also mentioned this becuase of it being chrome-lined, which generally hurts accuracy also. 9" twist rates work better with 55-62 grain bulets from longer bbls. I've seen SS 24" AR's with 9" twist do quite well with 55-62 grian bullets, not short chromies.

  • I also prefer no chrome in my barrels, but Del-Ton decides how to set up their rifles. I just pull the triggers report on my findings.

    Jeff

  • Sweet rifle, I have a Del-Ton upper that I'm going to modify soon, I was wondering if there is a website that I can go to other than cheaper than dirt to find the Troy free floating rail that you recommend?

  • brownells-dot-com

  • OMG ! Its ANOTHER AR !

  • Price?

  • $1250 MSRP.

  • Isn't it nice to watch a firearms review video that doesn't have giggling man-boys or someone talking about zombies? Gunblastdotcom has all my respect.

  • You've inspired me to grow out a beard and buy a pistol and carbine. The Chappa 1911-22 and Hi point 995ts to be specific. After watching your reviews I went out and bought them. You have also a great taste in music, the finger picking guitar instrumentals compliment the video's very well

  • My brother Boge does all the video production and music. I am just the pretty face!

    jeff

  • COOL!

  • Little Debbie cake....LOL

  • The Troy slick-sided rails are absolutely outstanding.

  • Favorite line - stock will hold a "little debbie cake" I'm from Texas, not Tennessee, but I have some of them in my line and love to hear the Southern come out

  • I happened to've been playing "By the Sword in my Hand", by Tyr, over your introduction music. It was quite fitting.

  • Ps you website link is broke /not working

  • Boge is working on posting the article now, should be up momentarily.

  • @Gunblastdotcom Thank u ,got it ,Thanks again ,

  • Like it ,,Going to look into one of these

  • haaaaa love it- LITTLE DEBBIE CAKE!!!!

  • I'm a real bid fan of del-tons. has used both Lowers and uppers in my builds and they are excellent quality and have never did me wrong.

  • I keep a twinkie in my pistol grip. I fits, you just got to shove it in there. lol

  • I'm sold if it will hold a Little Debbie Cake! lol I have a Del-Ton MOE .223 AR-15 and just love it.

  • Nice setup. Thanks for the review. Is that a mid-length gas system?

  • I love this music

  • troy industries stock: won't pull your beard off and has room for snack storage, pure awesomeness hahahaha =D

  • I have that troy TRX 13" rail; it's a gem. The only caveat is that if you're going to do a lot of heavy shooting, you will want gloves because there are no heat shields and while it does cool off fast, it also heats up fast. There just isn't much to protect your hand from that heat.

  • i put a little debbie snack in my stock its mush now.........:(

  • That brass catcher makes it nice for you lefties, doesn't it? No more cases in the face! lol

  • Brass flying across my field of vision never bothered me, but I do hate having to find and pick-up cases.

  • @Gunblastdotcom I hear you. I hate this time of year having to dig through snow to find them. I just got a brass catcher from Caldwell last week. I haven't used it yet, though.

  • @Gunblastdotcom Pretty good coincidence... I was just looking at getting this exact same handguard for my Del-Ton upper almost identical to that haha..

How do you like it compared to other forends? Recommend it? I just wasn't sure how sturdy the screw on rail sections would be..

  • It is one of my favorites. The rails should hold perfectly. I would apply a dab of blue LocTite to each screw.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom How well does that brass catcher work? I got the caldwell brass catcher for Christmas, and I wasn't very impressed with it. Will that 3 bucc brass catcher stay in place while taking the gun in and out of vehicles, or while hunting?

  • The 3Bucc is the best that I have ever used. I have tried many different ones, and most of them suck. The 3Bucc is a quality product, and works perfectly.

    Jeff

  • Cool

  • That is a particularly nice set of features all rolled into one in a rifle :D I like it

  • That stock looks like it will hold at least 2 oatmeal pies.

  • @MH496 oatmeal pies kickass

  • Do you ever shoot russian ammo through your ARs?

  • @WRockW10 IMO I would never shoot steel case ammo through anything but combloc firearms. There's no way I would pay for a premium rifle, then shoot crap, laquer-coated steel ammo through it. Steel cases are not good for firearms that shoot straight-walled cases, it puts strain on the extractor, for one thing.

  • None of the laquered steel-cased stuff through my rifles, regardless of country of origin.

    jeff

  • Whats retail?

  • Ha Little Debbie
