just to add onto what i just said, time travel is possible. we humans and all of life that matter are always time traveling but only forward and very slowly, also when you go to a different country the time zone may have changed therefore time travel. i know its nothing like what we would want from time travel but its time travel nonetheless and is not impossible just to clarify for people that say it is.
I guess everyone's hear the latest breakthrough as of a few days ago saying time travel may be possible at least at a subatomic level.
I wonder if something I've stumbled across could open new doors in scientific research. If you follow my link to see my first upload "Witness a Miracle" you'll see what I'm talking about. The first few moments after it comes into focus are key to watch, and it easier to see full screen. I swear this footage is genuine. p.s I'm not selling anything.
believe or not.. time travel does not existed... its just a thought but seriously it it impossible that human will ever be able to travel in time... because look.. time is not something that human can touch or get it.. its just like a dream.. u cant not make a dream come alive into reality.. yet you cant even see it clearly or even feel it accurately.. and that's just example of the time travel theory.. ITS IMPOSSIBLE... ONLY GOD KNOWS...
so if we live in a virtual simulation of the universe, we would HAVE to exist on a server ore some program generating EVERYTHING. The complexity of the universe excisting in data is simple just impossible. There is more neurons in ONE brain then there is atoms in the entire univers, just the thought about how much capacity a computer would need to do so simpel makes it impossible.
the simulation idea misses the point of trying to change the past or future, which i see as a valuble tool , of course it needs to be done wisely and safly, therefore there probly be a time travel law and rules inforcement of some kind
Nice question. If we are simulations then it is highly unlikely that we have free will in our programming also we should be all instances of some blueprint. Then again to have free will there should be a bug in the program which gives us free will or the programmer should be an interesting guy who gave us free will just to see what will happen. Assuming we have free and we discover something, then override the system and try to leave this plane of existence..
Then we might find out to move to, and exist in the other Plane where our programmer comes lives, our present physical condition might not allow, After all we are simulations. Who knows how the real human body, planets, objects feel. It might be our boundary, end of our plane. We might might find out that we could never match the programmer, we could never experience the life in his plane. But then if the programmer himself is a simulation then I believe we might be able to exist.
If that's the escaped guy could help every other being in our Universe to cross over this plane to the other. Then we might even slowly take over our programmer's world and universe. May be we could trap him and other in his world and make our slaves... like what the machines do in the movie Matrix.. #LOL in this scenario we become the Machines. Lots of possibilities branch from there...Amazing world isn't it !!!
lets Just have the belief that we are living in this virtual reality,

It seems logical to me that if you accelerated to near the speed of light you would not travel into the future but rather be racing as fast as you could into the past. If we shot out fast enough it may still be alive because we slowed time, but not broken time. When we got back time would have passed just not much.
the only way...that we could travel through time is if we would build a huge server...containing all the graphic information that could build a very detailed virtual reality in wich we would all be connected. In fact we have such an example...the movie ,,matrix".Then and only then we would be able to do that. But even then if anyone could really travel through time...that would mean disaster. How hard is it to realize that time is linear. Just because you are going fast doesn't make time speed up, it just makes you move in a certain direction extremely fast. For example if you are moving 1000km/s and I am moving normal speed... that doesn't change how fast we experience time. You might get to where your going in less time, but time itself doesn't speed up or change.
As for cyclical time... that can be modelled as a linear repetitive timeline.
FYI- we are NOT real already. Matter is 99.9% empty space. The 0.01% that makes us is not real either, and particles can appear to be in two places at once, can cancel-out other particle-waveforms, and that particles only exist "on average" and are not truly discrete "lumps" of matter.
The real mystery to me is that our concepts, thoughts, and the rules of math don't reside within our matter itself. These concepts govern the rules of matter, yet the concepts themselves live outside of us.
Makes sense, our "God" is actually a highly advanced supercomputer. We've been pre-programmed to worship "God" since before the simulation began as a tribute to that supercomputer due to our very existence depending on it.
@yahoopig Yep, theres a big chance that you and me are simulated. i guess your simulated brain aint deleloped enouth to understand it. but the question is, how many levels deep in to simulations are we? 1? 2? 345? 87042960?
I wonder if we are already a part of an advanced civilization and that this life is the simulation that as children we must go through before we can rejoin our people in the real world. So death is our graduation ceremony at which time we are unplugged. You might ask about people who die too young. People who do not reach maturity or old age are probably just computer generated people and not the real participants in this make believe world. LOL ......just a thought.
so it could be that the universe of the people from the real world is already gone, but since we could be in a simulation of a simulation from the real world we still live on. And later on we will create our own simulated world...
and that simulated world will create his own simulated world and so on...
lol, man....that’s so true, maybe that’s why infact we cant realize , and grasp time travel, that’s some deep stuff, and maybe as this simulated society becomes closer and closer in technology and to that realization, it would be time to end that simulation, or as our reality would perceive it, ..the end of the world
I don't believe that non sense for a second. But dude who knows the universe has so many unexplained things about it. Just the thought that the space does not end(can't put a box around it because then what's outside the box?) and that time never had a beginning is breath taking. But honestly I just see time as a measurement of events. I don't see how traveling at the speed of light would send us to the future.
@AlanTTT3: (Hmm. Berkeley.) Perhaps we overlook what the definition of a simulated universe might truly be.
When someone proposes we're living in one, we immediately think: that must mean we ourselves are complete simulations, with predetermined actions and fates (a nasty thought)!
But it may not be so. It may still be possible that, though living in a "sim", we could only be "partly" simulated---with "the rest" of our being simultaneously existing beyond the confines or control of the sim.

cool it may be a simulation thats how space can go on forever its like the sea in gta 4 single player if you go right out to sea you seem to go on for ever and you never come to a end i done this and it took a long time to get back to land
If all this is a simulation then therefore we are real in a matter of speaking. But we aren't TRULY "Real". So that means we are nothing... and therefore we don't exist. So why continue if what we do doesn't influence or help the "Real" world?
@FrostbitSlave it is, maybe we are a source of intertanment, maybe a society is boggled down so much with the problems and trials of the real world that we play a vital role in there down time, and relaxation, and coping with that reality, or maybe we are a sumulation, a test run to how a society plans on trying to live
Matter that gets sucked into a black hole would not disappear but instead be condensed into a single point due to the enormous gravitational pull of the black hole. This point would be similiar to that of the singularity, or the point from which the big bang ocurred.
That's my theory anyway. I don't know if it's right.
The idea that we could be living in the matrix is not a new one.
If this really worries you I would refer you to Kant.
He said that we may never know something about the world as it actually is but we can find out how it is for us. And in essence this is the only world because we will alway see the world through our consciousness whether it is the matrix or "reality".
Hey guys i figured how to move into the future. ok so. i did this today actually. i was walking down the street and i look at my watch, it was 5:00. i walked some more and it was 5:01. this means in order to travle 20 years in the future we have to wait 20 years in the present. and wow we are playing a game of sims someone just pushed the walk button and made me walk forward
so they went from Newtonian time theory to, time travel, to Plato's theory of reality........thats it, I cant take it anymore, my brain is officialy fried.
@40kSergeant SO basicly if we are playing a game of sims (or someone is of us) than when we die, we will come back as someone else. maybe. If this is true than someone in this world is Newton and every other scientist so but only if this is true
Haha..it concludes my judgement of not being able to trust our 5 senses because how likely it is to deceive the senses. I have come to look at life more as a game the last 5 years.
Bau, this is deep!!! I'll hate to imagine that my life is a mare simulation. I wonder, if we can create a particle accelerator millions or even billions of km long and create a black hole, wound that, would that be the exit of this program?
@jtcra555 Something has to lie beyond a black hole. How can matter and energy get sucked into a hole and just simply disappear?? I have always concluded personally that what lies beyond a black home is the beggining point of another big bang in a parallel universe. But after watching this documentary and the whole multiple simulation theroy, I dont know what to think anymore lol!!!
@superchris09 Yes, that's what I heard. They theorized that the black hole is a punch in the space time continuum that lead us to another universe. Its quite fascinating when black holes are being observed, especially when they become actives.
Atoms consists of electrons, protons and neutrons all of which are like electrical particles. And we happened to be made up of atoms everything in this universe are made of atoms. All matters are made up of atoms attached to one another. What if those atoms are particles of a simulated reality of a super computer which involves atoms particles which are electrical particles.
Holy shit, so I might be in a simulation thinking I am real? But I could actually be in a "video game simulation" of my childrens childrens childrens childrens X100 childrens? That is scary as shit, I might not even be real...... Yipes... Oh well, I suppose life goes on, or if this is even life? Great, I could be a computer program hah
I dont believe we even exist, you know i think we all know are ideas of the world and they maybe true but the fact is using the english language we cannot describe what where trying to say, no matter how hard i try to say it, i cant find the words to describe my view of the concept of reality thus we conclude that we can think about it but never discuss it , and thats the barrier holding humanity back.
no computer could process an INFINITE amount of information, not even alien races with cosmic travel capabilities could have INFINITE computational capacity.
@Zurround100 It would not need to! If you input a few parameters or laws & let it run it would create more & more complex patterns which would of course fit the nature of the universe we see. One that has evolved into more complex systems from singularity to nebula, stars, galaxies even the life we see bacteria to plants, insects, sheep & so on. The fractal & holographic nature of reality is quite prevalent in quantum physics, mathematics, geometry and harmonics just to name a few. PROOF? DREAMS!
maybe this simulation is a tv show that people watch in the evening like a mega big brother version, and the users write the script for us, real or not, life is truly good
If the universe is Infinite then the theory of probabilities is not true, so the odds seem stacked on us to be virtual, yet its really 50/50 thanks to my theory, I call shelbourne theory, it shows if the universe is infinite taking the no's of events no matter how unlikely will be infinity vs. likely events are infinity, thus the same thus the odds of anything is equal, so dont jump to conclusions, yet i still believe it, cause its 50/50 and can feel the truth, so i'd say its true.
The scientists that figured out this theory had simply just watched The Matrix while stoned. I'm sure most of us thought the same thing after watching that film.
@princepersia1 maybe, that would explain all the dumb people i've met in my life, as to categorize them into fails of the system. lol. maybe the computer catch a virus while creating them. lol.
@yahoopig Sorry if I offended you. Yet I was not speaking about anybody in particular. Just about people who in my opinion are dumb, moronic assholes. And have lack of intellegence and/or no conscience toward what they do. Not because of an impediment of any sort, just because they are assholes. Kind of the people that comes out in 1,000 ways to die, most of them could had saved their lives if they had stop, and think for a moment on what they were doing. bye
I dont know if any of you have ever pondered life all that much but if you have even a bit you know its all just a simulation day after day month after month year after year dont feel that your little stint on the Earth really means anything, Not to say that life is meaning less just that if you were born or not it doesnt matter- only to you.
@march1001 I have and I agree w/ you. Our "life" is but a blink in the eye compared to what infinity is. There are 3 possibilities I can think of and each way has a different conclusion to me. 1. we have no conscious existence after we die 2. we have a conscious existence after we die that goes off of theory of reincarnation. 3. we have a conscious existence after we die and only get one mortal life. If you can think of any other possibility other than those 3 I'd love to ponder it.
They all seem to be scared of being artificial reality... but if in fact we are just artificial synthesis, than that it was we would be, we'd would have final figured out who we are LOL! Good news then, we wouldn't be truly real organisms only synthsized and thus death would not really occur true pain wouldn't, our synthetic conciousness would simply be deleted from the synthetic present and stored on the massive harddrive. We'd be immortal :) Looking on the bright side :)
the simulation thing is not time travel though. Not sure why that was thrown in there. Uncertainty Principle says we can't know the position and velocity of a particle for certain therefore can't predict the past or future.
Although that billion to one odds thing is still governed by the assumption that will build a machine with loads of simulations... which may just happen! Some of the things we have today would have been seen as crazy 100 years ago, and even crazier 1 million years ago!
The fact that people from 1 million years ago would probably be confused by things today explains why i am confused about the computer simulation now!
Although this video is very interesting, &c. I don't like the idea of us being a simulation, despite how much it might be true. I find that if i focus on the simulation thing too much It drives me mad, and a bit paranoid! I start thinking that i am just a simulation.
when i was really really young (kinder garden and shit) i noticed the TV showing people in it. so thought to myself- what if we are just on tv and someone is watching. idk- hope not.
alternatively our lives have ended, and we made up a story via technology, and we live the same life over and over. being born in ignorance every time. a past has never existed, and the more intricate the bullshit gets, the more likely, and in the end u get the bible
"As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear headed science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about atoms this much: There is no matter as such. All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter."
nin - right where it belongs.

Somehow this part of the show, and the idea of time travel simulation, remind me of Assassin's Creed 2.

So we are living in a virtual realty simulation are we? As Doctor Johnson said in his debate with Bishop Berkeley - "I refute it thus!"
AlanTTT3 1 year ago
@AlanTTT3: (Hmm. Berkeley.) Perhaps we overlook what the definition of a simulated universe might truly be.
When someone proposes we're living in one, we immediately think: that must mean we ourselves are complete simulations, with predetermined actions and fates (a nasty thought)!
But it may not be so. It may still be possible that, though living in a "sim", we could only be "partly" simulated---with "the rest" of our being simultaneously existing beyond the confines or control of the sim.

@AddictedFort1E well it is just wild speculation...
The idea that we could be living in the matrix is not a new one.
If this really worries you I would refer you to Kant.
He said that we may never know something about the world as it actually is but we can find out how it is for us. And in essence this is the only world because we will alway see the world through our consciousness whether it is the matrix or "reality".

jtcra555 1 year ago
@jtcra555 Something has to lie beyond a black hole. How can matter and energy get sucked into a hole and just simply disappear?? I have always concluded personally that what lies beyond a black home is the beggining point of another big bang in a parallel universe. But after watching this documentary and the whole multiple simulation theroy, I dont know what to think anymore lol!!!

Zurround100 1 year ago
@Zurround100 It would not need to! If you input a few parameters or laws & let it run it would create more & more complex patterns which would of course fit the nature of the universe we see. One that has evolved into more complex systems from singularity to nebula, stars, galaxies even the life we see bacteria to plants, insects, sheep & so on. The fractal & holographic nature of reality is quite prevalent in quantum physics, mathematics, geometry and harmonics just to name a few. PROOF? DREAMS!

If the universe is Infinite then the theory of probabilities is not true, so the odds seem stacked on us to be virtual, yet its really 50/50 thanks to my theory, I call shelbourne theory, it shows if the universe is infinite taking the no's of events no matter how unlikely will be infinity vs. likely events are infinity, thus the same thus the odds of anything is equal, so dont jump to conclusions, yet i still believe it, cause its 50/50 and can feel the truth, so i'd say its true.

march1001 1 year ago

Uncertainty Principle says we can't know the position and velocity of a particle for certain therefore can't predict the past or future.
rwang83 1 year ago
Although that billion to one odds thing is still governed by the assumption that will build a machine with loads of simulations... which may just happen! Some of the things we have today would have been seen as crazy 100 years ago, and even crazier 1 million years ago!
The fact that people from 1 million years ago would probably be confused by things today explains why i am confused about the computer simulation now!
