Kim & Mike stated how they used to see Madonna all the time hanging out or performing at the NYC clubs before she became famous, but they didn't really like her style at first. Madonna dated a mutual friend. After her MTV live show they start liking her stuff and they realized her ironic pop style, all the media hoopla Madonna generated. Especially the fashion and style. Her record label wanted to sue them but Madonna stopped it from happening and gave them full clearance with Ciccone Youth.

@sinetravel Mostly in her music videos, her reinventions/images. You don't see it? Maybe you haven't really paid attention to Madonna. Her work has lots of irony. She's not your Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Katy Perry pop star that many confuse her with. She's just the one they all compare them to (female). You might see what Sonic Youth sees in Madonna if you take a closer look.

@sinetravel Well the music video for "Like A Virgin" is an easy one. On the surface it seems like a sexually charged video set in Venice, with her gyrating on a boat and being stalked and held by a lion (St. Mark) while wearing a wedding dress. Lots of symbolism. She plays both the Whore & the Virgin, one questioning the other. But underneath all that, she's basically making a mockery of the church's (authoritive figures) & grandmother's view that women are either Whores or Virgins.

ok i dont even know who the fuck these people are, but I used Audacity 1.3 Beta to make a frequency sweep from 20 Hz to 16,000 Hz and i exported it as an mp3 file. When playing said mp3 file, i looked at the album information, and instead of findind the information i put down it says that that frequency sweep was this song from this album. WTF???
