  • The list of guys like Jake Roberts,Mr Perfect,Rick Rude,Million Dollar Man who should have won the tile can all blame Hogan. Why do you think none of them ever had programs with him when they were the top heels in the business, cause Hogan knew that they could take away from his spotlight. Why did Hogan only fued with guys like Earthquake,Sgt Slaughter,Andre cause he could easily out work them.

Bottomline Hogan is at fault for much of the crap that went wrong back in the 90's

  • @buffblogger Well, now that you mention it, that was very revealing. This scene here happened 20 years ago today.

  • Guys, Jake the snake was a great character! He deserved a title. Unbelievable that "the miz" won it and not Jake.. I'm speechless...

  • "Bury me, Snake Man!"

  • This could have been the most dominate stable EVER. Better than the Horsemen, better than the nWo, and better than DX.

  • good bye jake

  • Mana Lucifer is one evil looking king cobra

Hail The Snake ; Jake the Snake Roberts

  • goodbye cruel world

  • The original Undertaker and Jake the Snake.. that could've been the most awesome / badass/ evil tag team ever, its a shame it didn't last longer.

  • LOL Jake would sometimes use Pink Floyd lyrics in his promos ("Goodbye Cruel World"). In one of his heel promos he used lyrics from "One Of My Turns". :-p

  • The Ultimate Warrior is the biggest dumbest rabbit Jake Roberts has ever seen!!!

  • Moral of the session: NEVER TRUST A SNAKE!!

  • This is how you turn heel epicly.

  • Jake was great but this was corny as hell

  • Isn't this attempted murder? Jake was one sick person.

  • I remember seeing that promo when I was a kid, and thought "hey man, that's one hell of a great way to threaten somebody"

  • this was suppose to start a warrior vs jake fued but warrior got fired after summerslam 91

  • Anyone else notice Jake's watch during his promo?

  • i think roberts was so successful as a heel because he is really like that in real life,. sly and unpredictable and dark... with his crack pipes, prostitutes and God knows what else...

  • this was a pretty cool segment.

  • did Jake & Warrior had a Match against each other???

  • No; Warrior got fired first and Jake feuded with Savage instead.

  • Hey, didn't they reuse that rabit/snake story in Natural Born Killers? Oliver Stone sealing from Jake Roberts?

  • It's an old story.

  • Never trust a snake

  • LOL

"Ultimate Warrior will be at Summerslam, physically he is ready, mentally i don't know"

ROFL, yeah you can fucking say that again. We all know what happened there.

  • They should make all the heels in the WWE study Jake the Snake promos until they're eyes bleed.

  • Absolutely!!!!!

  • Jake was a charismatic Heel. A lot of today's young pretenders could learn a thing or six from him! Except for the glug glug glug...

  • best promo ever

  • Hands down! W/out a second thought, Jake Robers: greatest heel of all time.

  • That segment sales close to the wind of being complete Wrestlecrap and yet Jake Roberts alone makes it genuinely scary. The man was a genuine bonafide talent.

  • Jake Roberts' story was awesome! Warrior truly was the dumbest rabbit of them all.

  • Most dominant footage ever!

  • Jake was a far better than Steve Austin

  • Not even, Jake was a good actor thought

  • Damn, if it wasn't for Jake's drug problems, he'd have been a world champ

  • @roylucier Screw that! He shoulda been Intercontinental Champion!!

  • @roylucier stfu dude jake wasnt good looking like orton 2 b a champ

  • Wow that snake sure looks too happy to see Warrior.

  • What YEAR WAS THIS? And was JAKE W/TAKER OR NO?

  • it was around 1991. Yes Jake sided with Taker and they formed an "Unholy Alliance"...until the Saturday Night's Main Event match between Jake and Macho Man Randy Savage. After the match, Jake was backstage and attempted to`hit either Savage or Miss Elizabeth, whoever came through the curtain first, while he was about to swing, Taker stopped him

  • Jake got pissed at Taker and turned on him, thus completing Taker's turn from heel to face. They met at Wrestlemania VIII. Taker defeated Jake The Snake

  • This was in 91 prior to Summerslam during the summer months of July and August. He was aligning himself with the Undertaker, but in early 92 at the Royal Rumble that year, they feuded and met at Wrestlemania 8, which was at the Hoosierdome in Indianapolis and that marked the beginning of the Undertaker as a face and Jake left WWE and went to WCW that year and feuded with Sting at Halloween Havoc, before he left there

  • It is kind of funny when you think about it. THe Jake Roberts Warrior feud went no where the Jake Roberts Earthquake Feud went no where, and I believe their was some short livid feud with Undertaker which essentially went no where.

  • best heel turn ever

  • "I'm a snake, never trust a snake...heheheheh"

  • Jake"The Snake"Roberts is the best heel ever!!I only wish Jake Roberts and the Ultimate Warrior feud happen!!

  • Jake is god.

  • Classic clip. That was great, and I can't believe that I feel for this shit when I was young, lol

  • Jake was the best ever HEEL!

  • Ted Dibiase

  • perhaps Ted but i think Jake was a good turn from a babyface to a really nasty Heel

  • DiBiase was good for what he was (a bully), but Jake was just straight-up evil. Best is subjective anyway.

  • I'd love to see Vince and Gorilla's reactions to Jake's turn from the syndicated shows.

  • Would have been interesting to see how the Jake vs Warrior feud would have turned out. Alas, Warrior got himself suspended for a drug violation, so they had to bring Savage out of retirement far too early to take his place.

  • Actually this one ended with Warrior holding Vince up for extra money at Summer Slam that year. Right after his match then Vince fired him.

  • wrestling was so damn good back in these days im so glad i got to watch wrestling at its very best when i was a kid and not the rubbish wwe has become today

  • thank you for posting this. I remember the day i seen this when I was just a kid, had always thought this episode, and I know the entire funeral parlor show that ran previous to this episode... verbatim.

    ;-Demon

  • 2nd scene jake solo

[ PEEP HIS HOLOGRAM WATCH AN QUEER ASS EARING] lol!!!!!!!

dont get me wrong i love the guy!!!!!!

  • Jake and Warrior were the complete polar opposites of each other.....and they don't work well together.

Jake has a realistic approach to wrestling...

    Warrior has a fantasy approach.

  • Maxim Magazine; Last issue, Jake Roberts is WWF Wrestling, boom!"

  • Jake is a Legend...Trust me.

  • "Never trust a snake..." Awesome...

  • Jake Snake wasn't the best wrestler or wasn't built the best either, but he's one of the most intimidating and one of the best on the mic. He's one of a kind and inspired the Attitude Era of the WWF and beyond.

  • Actually Paul Heyman inspired the Attitude era.

  • Yeah when he was in ECW but Jake the Snake was wrestling before ECW started Don't get me wrong I'm a die hard ECW fan, but you have to give props to the Snakeman.

  • Jake Roberts in his prime would have been perfect during WWF's Attitude era...

  • Jake the Snake is awesome!

  • You just have to know in your heart that if WWF stuck with these kinds of storylines in the late 90's, WWF would've folded over 10 years ago in the face of WCW and, especially, ECW.

  • Ya know, this kind of thing wasn't as bad as stuff like "Doink" and "Adam Bomb". The internet ruined it all, since we now know what everything is. Back when the fans didn't know, that could have been a real snake for all we knew...now, we are "smart" enough to know that there is no way they would risk using a real snake. Just like "wildmen" and masked men from Parts Unknown. Somehow, the guy has to be paid, right? He has to get to the arena somehow, right?

  • Funny as hell. Gene, so cool and collected. "Gee, how is he?" Then again, what's not heroic about a guy with face paint, tassels that cut blood flow to and from the arms, and gym shorts to boot?

  • Jake was such a great heel. This, Mr. Perfect "That's Perfect" and Razor Ramon were the best vignettes.

  • wow. this is was a bit scary. man, what happened to storylines like this?

  • is this how Jake Roberts turned heel?

  • This could of passed has a song film!

  • Man, this blowoff match between these two should bring the house down! Wait, why are you laughing?

  • Man, this bring back memories. That snake scared the hell out of me, when i was a kid.

  • woah that takes me back. although i didnt start watching until 1999, it still takes me back to the good old days lol

  • Shocking INDEED.

  • I remember this one.....

  • Whoa. Old school Undertaker.

  • Get a load of that shirt!

  • i dont understand this!

did the snake really bite warrior?

  • Kayfabe. but a bit scary

  • Nice Watch, Jake.

  • damn camera man in the room with the Warrior can't help him out...damnshame

  • Yea no doubt Jake made a great heel...

  • Yay! Jake Robert's heel turn!
