One of my goats had twins recently, a boy and a girl, I have a video of them up on my channel. :D That is a sweet, sweet dog, and an adorable baby! I'd probably sleep on that dog too, he looks very comfortable.

Pyrs make the best moms. My first one raised 3 kittens, including one in the last year of her life that kept her young and happy. She also taught 2 of my kids to walk. Miss her still!

Lost our Great Pyr s few years ago. Have some many great memories of her, and one of the odder ones was coming home to find a goat on our front porch, which may not seem weird but we don't live any where near goats and in an extremely large town. Never thought any thing of it at the time but boy, did that Pyr sure take to that goat. Makes me wonder just how ingrained into them it is.

I have three goats that the mothers ignored. Raised them on cow milk around three dogs. Now two somewhat mesh with the herd, but one is absolutely convinced it IS a dog and spends most of the day laying and eating with them in front of the house. Even runs down the driveway to greet cars with them.

Nice and warm is right!!! In the spring I brush my Pyr and leave the hair for birds, they love it for their nests!!! They pick at it and wear little white beards back to the nests... You seem to live in a corner of paradise, good for you! Fabulous animals.

this guy was working near this herd of goats in a pen and his border collie was with him. the border collie got too close to the goats and the great pyrenees in the pen reached under the fence, dragged the border collie in the pen and killed him. they can be mean if another dog gets too close to their goats.

We have pgymy goats, what kick! Our dogs are 1/2 Great Pyranese & 1/2 Black Lab, brother & sister about 18 mos old. The male is very good around our livestock, but the female wants to chase everyone around....hope she grows out of it! (soon!) Any suggestions?

IMO, you are very lucky that even ONE of your Pyr/Lab crosses are safe with your goats. Please be very cautious. LGD breeds have been developed for generations as guardians of flocks/herds. A cross (even half Pyr) is going to take twice the time and work IF it succeeds at all and your chances are only 50/50 of ending up with a reliable (unsupervised) working LGD. There are exceptions to the rule, of course, and I hope your male is one of them (smile). Good luck! :)

i remember are fist goats i had a buck that was a runt an he snuggled up with me the first night on the couch he was under my blanket i was warm an was watching tv an i felt good an i loved when i bottle fed him how he wiggled his tail but when i went in to eat the moment i come back i cant find him i get my mom an she finds him dead under the wheel barrel ;( i couldnt stop crying he was so sweet
