  • nice bunny hop

  • I'll be getting an '07 prophet 5 in September! I cannot fucking wait!

  • If you don't know, you will never know droolop.

  • $3000

  • how much does this bike cost?

  • Do you still have a job now there made overseas......sad

  • Profit ! Its a bicycle..... You can get an R1 for that much, or a used GSXR 1000 or a Hayabusa for as much as Cannondale is asking for there bikes. Get realistic Cannondale.

  • @ROLLERBUG

What the fuck are you talking about?

  • yes, a DH bike is ideal, but were not talking full body armor and 50 degree inclines here. Ive ridden this bike down Whistler and it takes a fucking pounding. Your body will too with the 140mm, but it holds up just fine!

  • Can you also drive it for like 3 hours with a friend who is riding on a hardtail?!

Like doing a bit of cross country?!

  • my friend got one and he hates it

  • The fork would throw me off.

  • I have the Jekyll and the Scalpel both bikes kick some serious ass. Love my Lefty. People look at me weird because of my shock. They have no idea how well the Lefty handles. Great shock for great steering. Lol!!!!

  • I just cant get used to the one front shock look.....

  • I have the burn orange color one sitting in my garage for 2 years now and never rode it. I should take it out sometime.

  • моновилка, дурость какая-то !!!

  • ganz gut, verstehe englisch nur nicht so gut ...daher

  • COOOOL, hey by the way, what's the name of the song in 5:42 ?

  • i love cannondale frame but cant afford one... its my dream bike.. i wish god some one will give me one cannondale bike

  • thats my dream bike , , , i wish someone with a good hearth will donated me a cannondale frame , i lost my bike on the typoon ondoy flood

  • Great Bike. I've tried Specialized's FSR and all the VPP bikes, and when you are riding there is vertually no difference between the Cannondale a FSR and VPP rear suspantion design. The main thing to be asked here is where does all the steering control come from? the front of the bike. Where does most of the trail impact come from? the front. What brake has the most affect of stopping? the front. The rear suspention is not as important as the industry leads everyone to believe.

  • hey can you tell me if this bike is gonna be useful for downhill ,

  • Comment removed

  • word.

  • @chazmaniac624 if you owned one you'd know that you can lower the seat and float over almost anything. It starts to wobble at 40+mph but every downhill isn't mammoth mtn

  • @chazmaniac624 lol Iv downhilled with it, its mad fun. You can downhill with any bike.....Its just easier with some more then others...

  • @Chris385261 so true. my friend has been joining my rides with an old, rusty bike with no suspension. we haven't been doing downhill (not enough protective equipment), but the terrain hasn't been nice, and his bike manages just fine.

  • @chazmaniac624 Spent a year doing DH races etc on a STP, Came in top 3 most times [hardtail and under17]

Only just got myself a new bike, Got a Haro and I'm loving it

  • Because you need a DH bike to go Dh, It was defiantly retarded for miles Rockwell to ride 3" super V's downhill back in the 90's. Your totally right you need a 220mm bike the go down a hill or you will crash 100% of the time. Is that why its called ALL MOUNTAIN instead of All mountain as long as the mountain never goes down?

  • No way man =D

  • Use it for what you want. Back in the day downhill bikes had that much travel.

  • you need to put lots of friction tape anywhere the cables rub. it happens at the fork sides, headtube, downtube. that is the only flaw I experienced.

  • I love my prophet, and i think that it looks really cool rather than ugly...

  • Great Bikes but they are so UGLY. sorry. now you can kill me for this comment. but i know lot of people would never buy one because of the design.

  • I'll die with my jekyll 700...Cannondale for life.

  • Rush Ltd1

  • prophet was the best bike and i fuckin love mine.

if it breaks and i need a new one i would only get a cannondale and only a lefty prophet

  • haha thats kinda cheating though...well not really but w.e...cuz obv its going to be the lightest fork...it only has one leg! lol

  • heheh, if you want lighter.... you should cut off your other leg...

    just kid!

  • CANNONDALE ROCKS, not like chinese shit!

  • Cannondale's production is going to be transferred to Taiwan soon too I believe

  • For the moment only low level cannondale are going to Taiwan.

i'll die with my jekyll 800 lefty ^.^

  • I just got myself a Six Six

  • Just bought P2 09 today, good ride, need to get it to local trail asap :(

  • i guess that cannondale makes single pivot bikes. its like haro. simple and effactive. the only thing good is that its way easier to maintain.

  • i just got an f7 best bike i've ever ridden very light

  • awesome! but wheres the front brake??

  • so, its just a single pivot suspension

  • There are a ton of very interesting new bike frame designs out there. Many are very complicated with several complicated pivot points. But it doesn't mean they are better. No doubt some of them will make the frame perform much better, but I think some may just be for show. Sometimes simple is best.

  • I also forgot to mention that Cannondale have now expanded its manufacture to thailand, not just america now. At least that is what i was told. And i should mention that my F7 is that lightest bike i have ever ridden. I broke my last malvern Star....'nuff said.

  • The prophet is actually a pretty good bike. I would say that it is on e of cannondales finest. I got the F7 the other day, and thats not bad at all. I love the rear susp. on this bike. pretty awesome eh??

  • Whatever happened to the "Raven" ?

That was always my favourite Cannondale. It had a full carbon fiber frame.

  • i bought a cannondale h400 touring

and it has same frame as this, no shocks, road bike. i am trying to find it on cannondales website but i can't one similar like mine,, its weird.

  • I bought one a prophet used off ebay, which was my second cannondale, and I have to say, it is one of the best bikes I have ever ridden!! I just have nothing bad to say about it.

  • cannondale is better than kona

  • You can´t compare Cannondale with Kona. Cannondale is more race and touring orientated. Kona is more hardcore for the bikeparks.

  • thx mr hammer :) yeah ive checked it out and probably ask santa for a prophet or rize . give my super v to my 11 yr old boy :P

  • Lol yeah you go ask santa

  • whats the difference between the rize and the prophet

  • The Rize will be a slightly shorter travek bicycles, but it is laterally stiffer than the Prophet. It is also a multi pivot suspension system as opposed to the single pivot design of the Prophet. I have ridden one and it is definitely stiffer than my Prophet.

  • The difference is that The prophet has more suspension a stronger frame and the Rize Is lighter better climber and more of a cross country bike.

  • i'll get flamed im shure ... but i own a 97'superv 500comp i bought it used,it is stock and rides great.i was wondering if anyone knows if my bike is commpatable for the lefty shock? my rear shock (fox vanilla) is super, plenty of travel. but the front it seems i need more travel on dh/freestyle riding. if anyone out there knows drop me a line please :) great video btw thanks

  • If your Super V 500 has the Headshock style fork steerer tube you could use a Cannondale Lefty. However for the cost of a left you might look for a new bicycle.

  • prophet for cheapos

  • i luve the lefty forks

if u want an alternative, u can always get the rize series instead of the phrophet as it still has the lefty fork

  • I love my lefty, best bike I have ever had. I ride mine to work everyday. The front Shock freaks people out a bit but it really doesn't effect the bike in any negative way- its not unbalanced and feels just as stable and rigid as a conventional fork.

  • Lefty forks are the best of the best. It's a shame that Cannondale is discontinuing their prophet line. Grab one while you can!!!! I have an 07 Cannondale Rush 4, I love it!

  • Oh and or the record I am 6'3" and 220 pounds and after a year the Lefty FFD (lowest end Lefty) has not failed, it has proved stronger than both my right knee and left collar bone :)

  • Just a correction about the 08's not having the Lefty, the real reason is that Manitou went under and Cannondale could not source internals for the Lefty in time (Manitou made many of the parts for the Lefty, TPC, FFD, SPV)

It has nothing to do with customer response or actual strength issues, if anything its the opposite if you look at it from a purely marketing standpoint the Lefty is pure genius, an easy way to set you bike apart from every other bike on the market.

  • i have 2007 prophet, and i ride everithing whit it-xc and pure downhill and left just suck up all,it is a perfect bike....

  • i like cannondale but the lefty scares me it just seems very fragile. i think im gonna end up buying the F5 CO2

  • The new prophets dont have lefty forks, because like you say people feel its a little fragile for an all mountain bike and look at it as a cross country fork. I've never had a problem with mine, beat it up a lot and it's still holding up fine. But the new prophets have fox forks now.

  • i consider leftys to be witchcraft

  • why not try giant maestro(floating pivit) wiz marzocchi z1 rc2 eta 2007?then you will forget those single pivit time...

  • Doesn't the lefty make the bike unbalanceed?

  • peeloboy,

    Simple answer, NO.

  • Mate, can you start spelling PIVOT correctly.

  • ha,whatver,im not in english speaking country...

  • I own a 2007 Cannondale Rush 4, and it is perfect. It steers as if it can read my mind, climbs great, and soaks up all the bumps. Cannondales are better crafted than other bikes. You can really tell that they are a detail oriented company. If I had the money I would buy the top end models of most of the cannondale bikes.

  • Cannondale made the best bike I ever had, a caad3 road bike with custom wheels. Before that I had a 3.0 crit bike and sold it for 3 times what I paid for it second hand, because it was a fast stiff racer with disc wheel.

  • 07 Prophet 5 owner, I love this bike it climbs like a hardtail and sucks up everything on the downhill sections.

  • i really dont have problem with cannondale

  • i dont believe any does

  • ISNT IT CANNONDALE?! everyones saying cannondal i dunno but yeah i think it is better since its in america cuz ive got a treck 4300 alpha w. extras to make it last longer n shit and i think the bike is a peice of shit now firrst year it was good but its barely holding itself together now so i think ima get a rush

  • u cant expect much from a 43 though...even if its the disc model...its still hardtail with relatively low end componentry

  • yea thats true but ive had it since i was in 5th grade and i just never thought about buying a new one

  • My Cannondale Prophet SL 06 is one nice smooth ride nice job Cannondal..

  • Bullshit "made in America" so it must be great. I am so sick of hearing that shit. Its marketing again to suck in gullable fools and there are plenty of them.

    1. The bikes are designed in the US,thats American right?

    2. Material are selected by the designers who are Americans

    3. welded by foreign nationals.who are approved by canondale.

4 the process and final bike goes through QC process designed by canondale.

that looks like geography has nufin to do with it!

  • Yes they are hand made designed and built in Bedford Pennsylvania... bullychief Do you suffer from retardation or are you just a bit dumb ?

  • I think you a bit dum as you didnt understand! My point was (and let me use small words) that - making them in the USA makes them no better! got that? furthermore, the frames are made in the USA, but ALL the other components are made in the east. YOU PRICK!

  • bullychief you sound very angry Wat's up does nobody love ya...

  • If you don't like Cannondals why are you looking at them on u tube ? I think you like them really dont ya lol...

  • i think you like men......

  • I think you like Cannondals

  • i wish i can afford one

  • i love my 05 Prophet 600.

its agile, quick, and truly fun.

    Go ride one!

  • Specialized bikes are all mass produced in china Cannandals are hand made in America

    I rest my case

  • good point, i only ride c-dale

  • tommygunn is very right...look at the new Specialized Enduro...SICK...or great classics like the NRS by giant, or trek fuel, etc. Anyone who works in a shop knows how many C'dales come in with issues. cracks, lefty issues, bearings (lots of them go bad FAST), etc. I work in one, so I know. Great bikes, but not perfect...

  • if any of this marketing bullshit was true then every bike on the market would be the best bike in the world

  • I have an 05 prophet 600 that has many upgrades as I wore the parts out{i ride lots,i live beside the niagara escarpment}. It is great on 8 inch roots and 5 pin bowling ball sized rocks, rooty, rocky, roller coaster hilly forested area. I ride this a few times a week.

  • im getting a 07 prophet 5

  • Yesterday I found that my 2007 Prophet 5 had been stolen, locked up, in a locked unit, in a secured area. It's an awesome bike... if I had it again I would throw every damn lock I had on it and put it at the bottom of my bed after every ride. I'm so bitter right now it's untrue. :'(

  • perhaps recently they have gotten better, but the old mountain frames were absolute shit. an experienced welder can make a totally smooth weld, like on the old klein bikes. someone at cannondale liked that, but instead of hiring good welders, they just ground their dime stacked welds flat. this makes for a really weak shitty weld. not hard to fold a frame like that. buy a specialized full suspension, or a gary fisher hi fi deluxe instead.

  • I own a Prophet 800. It climbs better than my Gary Fisher hardtail.

  • I drive a Jekyll with the Lafty Max SPV and a Scalpel with Lefty Speed Carbon FOX, great stuff

  • This bike is the best long travel climber out there..If you can keep the hardtails in sight on the uphill...you will gopple em' up on the downhill!

  • I want one !!!!

    got a Caad5 F1000

    Want something to really abuse

  • i love the cannondale lefty!!!!

  • very good video i want one. Got a Scalpel and wouldnt mind a play bike.

  • nice^^ got a chase myself

  • nice technology but in estetic y prefer the orquille of 2 legs! good job
