  • Oh man, I just spent 4 hours experimenting with ropes and pullies to make an elevator, and all I had to do was this....FML

  • the lock would be useful for a button you press when there are intruders sort of like for a lockdown so the lift/s shut down and the intruder cannot move to different areas of the ship

  • This is useful also for an emergency lift where you just unfreeze it.

  • weld some chairs to that and some life support and leave the time a 5, its a interplaitary transit system, move one to one planet and the other to another plant

  • lol this is a tutorial about spacebuild 3 and i understood more about wiremod from this than other wiremod tutorials xD

  • Hey Morcam, your tutorials are awesome, but I have an unanswered question: Can you weld lifts to parts so that they can be used within a moving craft? I'm having trouble doing this and it would be super useful to know. Thanks!

  • Yes. But don't do the middle part, just the ends. However, I'm not sure if they dupe well.

  • Thanks a billion man. The duping part is okay, it's not too hard to just spawn a lift and attach it as necessary...only a few minutes compared to what would be an irritating time trying to find out how to substitute them!

  • Spacebuild Enhancement Project (all the ship models) can be found on the facepunch forums, under models releases. Use the svn link like the SB3 ones.

  • You mean auto svn updater? I don't use it, I believe it is outdated. Check the FP thread under model releases.

  • Awesome tutorial! You only skipped one thing and that would be informing people that they aren't limited to what models are in the list, there is a console command to change it to any model.

    sbmp_elevator_model "model path here"

  • Heh, I didn't even know that was possible. Even the tutorial makers learn something new every day :D

  • I hate the console command so I added rightclick to get the model you are looking at so you then leftclick and it will use the model you just got

  • It isn't in the svn, for some reason. They just never put it in.
