I'd take the Genesis Coupe over the Tiburon anyday. The Tiburon just look plastic and cheap, and completely unattractive. Not to mention unlike the Tiburon the Genesis is a TRUE sports car. you know, on the genesis, there is a handle on the back of the passenger seat to access the rear, and when you move the seat back, it keeps the same-ish position as before you reclined it to access the back.

while everyone else tells me how bad she is at soccer(with only 170hp) and talk shit, I am busy with a one of a kind girl. But in the end i get the last laugh, because most of the girls that start are either ugly(1999 camaros) or are high maintenance bitches(typical sports car)
@crazyiraqii For Starters...the Tiburon Engine is an Inline 4 not a V4...and the V6 in the Genisis is naturally aspirated...only the 4 Cylinder Engine in the genisis coupe is Turbocharged.
For some reason, I like the Tiburons styling better then the Genesis. The rear quarter window on the Genesis looks like a mistake from the drawing board. I think the Tiburons taillights look better too, and the hatch instead of a trunk. But of course the Genesis is a better car all around.
You should have compared a more well equiped tiburon to the genesis, like an SE.. which has 2 tone leather seats, 6speed shift, sunroof, and alot more power. There is no comparasion in this video because you took the shitiest tiburon vs the top of the line genesis.

They're both great looking cars. The Genesis has a bit more of a substantial design, but the Tib isn't that far off. I'm starting to really like Hyundais. They look great, have awesome features, an amazing warranty, and are still really affordable.
Tiburon was always a nice car IMO,but the preformance doesn't match the looks....Front Wheel Drive and not enough HP to be a serious sports coupe....the Genisis however is just right as far as Drivetrain goes especially if they would put that 4.6 Liter in there that powers the 4.6 Version of the Genisis Sedan...the Tiburon is much nicer to look at though.

@99darkhawk A co-worker of mine has a 2005 Tiburon and unfortunately it is not very reliable. First the transmission had to be replaced and now the car stalls at random times at stoplight. For a starter car I would recommend a Mazda Protege or Honda Civic.

This may sound retarded, but how does the automatic work in the Tiburon? I've seen pictures of it and despite being automatic it still has the + and - shift positions right next to D. Can someone explain?
@sarge777 sportronic. Most cars have them now in that configuration. Mitsubishi's for example. you can put the Car in drive, and 'manually" shit. You can down shift more or less at will for example.
@sarge777 Nah, you can just put it in Drive and go around like a normal auto. Even when you DO use it, you dont shift, no clutch, so you have better timing. Not as sporty as a manual thou, closer than an auto however.
@sarge777 alot of my gear head friends dont call it "shift-tronic" they call it "bitch shift" corse the are all manual users, if you leave it in manual the engine will shift up on you automatically but it revs the RPMs at a VERY high lvl before it shifts over which really dogs the engine, i use B shift alot when im hitting an on-ramp hitting the highway...also they have set it up that you dont get a great response out of the turbo unless its in B shift.

The Genesis as the name implies is a new luxury look that will be applied with some modifications to all Hyundai models. Take a look at the new Sonata 2012 its cracking with new stuff.
I own a 2005 hyundai tiburon V-6 with a manual 5 speed transmission, that went out due to manufacturer defect at approx. 90,000.mi..and now can't find a 5 speed manual tranny to replace it-few were put out. the dealers won't hold up to the warrantee I had two on it. The linkage just fell apart. this car was extremely well cared for. Comments let me know.

just one small (but annoying) detail: it's "Coupé" (pronounced 'koo-pei') not "Coup".. You americanized the word enough already (originally it was just "koo-pe" with stress on the second syllable)..
I have had over 10 cars since I was 16 and my Tiburon is the first car that has held up well. They have my business for many years to come. As far as the big three, I don't even consider them when car shopping anymore. @sarge777 alot of my gear head friends dont call it "shift-tronic" they call it "bitch shift" corse the are all manual users, if you leave it in manual the engine will shift up on you automatically but it revs the RPMs at a VERY high lvl before it shifts over which really dogs the engine, i use B shift alot when im hitting an on-ramp hitting the highway...also they have set it up that you dont get a great response out of the turbo unless its in B shift.

@sarge777 sportronic / shiftronic. Most cars have them now in that configuration. Mitsubishi's for example. you can put the Car in drive, and 'manually" shit. You can down shift more or less at will for example.

The only thing is that the Veloster will have a 1.6GDI Turbo engine.
The Genesis as the name implies is a new luxury look that will be applied with some modifications to all Hyundai models. Take a look at the new Sonata 2012 its cracking with new stuff.

I own a 2005 hyundai tiburon V-6 with a manual 5 speed transmission, that went out due to manufacturer defect at approx. 90,000.mi..and now can't find a 5 speed manual tranny to replace it-few were put out. the dealers won't hold up to the warrantee I had two on it. The linkage just fell apart. this car was extremely well cared for. Comments let me know.

Dumb video. #1, the Tiburon is a much better car, Hyundai got cheap on the Genesis, very low quality of fit and finish. There is nothing similar about these cars. This vedieo is like comparing a camaro to a cobalt. Overall they both suck.

I was really into the pontiac solstice, but read alot of bad things about it.
I have a few questions I hope you can answer :).
The interior looks decent in the genesis coupe, but is the black plastic of the dashboad hard or soft feel plastic?
Also, the 2.0t and the 3.8 v6 are set about the same in mpg, but how do they fare in real life?

I have had over 10 cars since I was 16 and my Tiburon is the first car that has held up well. They have my business for many years to come. As far as the big three, I don't even consider them when car shopping anymore. Every car I ever had made by any of the big three has been a POS, and i'm talking about expensive new cars, not old junkers.My mother even quit buying Cadillac and switched to Hyundai.
