I think the guy was quite heavy handed but at the same time I commute everyday and if someone was holding up my train like this because they refused to pay I would be almost guaranteed to miss my connection....It was the right thing to remove him but they should of given him his stuff and maybe not been quite as forceful....I don't know, just my opinion but it's only fair that everyone should have to pay to ride the train.

The train guard did the right thing in asking him to pay up or sod off, and when the wee scrote kept on swearing and refusing the guard accepted help from a member of the public in throwing the wee get's arse on the platform. I travel that route sometimes and things like this rarely happen. What I found funny was the fare dodger tried to get back after the big guy chucked him off. In fairness, and to keep it in context, the fair dodger although resisting being thrown off wasn't actually violent towards anyone, and he did curse a bit, but I don't think he was hugely personally abusive. The ticket guy did well keeping composed.

I beleive the passengers on that train would disagree. the conductor gave him the wrong ticket and the guy didnt have any more money because he already paid for a ticket that morning, when he went to use it at night he discovered it was the wrong ticket. the old ticket inspector was having none of it and wasnt acting like a kind human, he was acting like a new world order clone and demanded he get off many miles from his hometown.

The train guard did the right thing in asking him to pay up or sod off, and when the wee scrote kept on swearing and refusing the guard accepted help from a member of the public in throwing the wee get's arse on the platform. Let's not forget the guard is a man in his sixties by the look of him, so tackling the plook on his own would have been a bit dodgy. Well done on the big yin who stepped up and help both his fellow passengers, and an old man who was trying to keep the passengers moving.

Probably true jokes aside Scotrail's policy is to offer a fine or get the British Transport Police to pick the passenger up at the next stop so the conductor should have just went with that instead of trying to get him to get off the train. I understand why the guy threw him off but he probably regrets it now, and the kid is reporting that he did have a valid ticket but pulled an old one out. It happens

There was no need for the violence and the passenger to throw him off. I travel that route sometimes and things like this rarely happen. What I found funny was the fare dodger tried to get back after the big guy chucked him off. In fairness, and to keep it in context, the fair dodger although resisting being thrown off wasn't actually violent towards anyone, and he did curse a bit, but I don't think he was hugely personally abusive. The ticket guy did well keeping composed.

I agree with Megan. He was obviously trying to cheat the system and wasting everyone's time on that train. Coupled with his foul language and attitude, i don't see a problem with using a bit of force to evacuate him. I mean he wasn't hurt at all, he even fought back himself. Yeah I guess you could have just let him ride and call the police, but that is just a waste of resources and time.
