awesome video.. i have a quetion though.. i have a plant like this but it isnt duble headed.. its just one really skinny tall one... i have had it for 6 or 7 years and it hasnt really changed much.. how would i get this plant to be as thick as yours? and to grow a new one, do i just cut the top off and stick it in water?
Yep, you can tell that the bud that didn't make it was higher up on the stem than the other 2 buds, meaning they robbed it of water and nutrients. It should stay dormant and if the 2 growths are killed off then it should spring into life. Good job!!!
i think i have the same type of tree, iv have had it since i was 4 and im now 19, its pretty hardy 2, i never watered it when i was young or gave it special care and it is still around 2day, i want it to grow more shoots but im afraid if i cut its head off it will be the end of it and i rly like it. can sum 1 get bk 2 me plz
This is superb....wow....you have lots of patience....it would awesome if you could do same process with a flower blooming...that would also be cool....
Cheers cybercab. The camera is nothing special: a Konica-Minolta Dimage A2. I shot all the frames manually, then re-registered them all by hand in Photoshop so that they lined up properly. Then I imported them all into Windows Movie Maker, gave them 0.1 second each and added a soundtrack. There are probably much better ways to do it than this. :-)
Wow, this is awesome, i got one dragon tree of my own but died from winter frost, but i still kept it...hoping it'll regrow after all these days of caring for a "dead" plant :(
I agree it's a bit short, but nothing much else was going to happen within the frame of the shot. Maybe I'll try something else, like a sky scene, which doesn't take so long to record.

Thanks wqipinoy. This one actually got badly scorched from being out in the sun too long, so I pruned it and got to film it coming back to life. :-)

You should do another one, except even longer. Maybe you're in the process right now...
