@eponaepona Don't worry. I don't indeed to be rude, but PM there´s nothing with the bastards of Metallica (I was a Metallifan bud since St Anger I hate them). Pagan´s Mind have influence of Dream Theater and with At Vance an Galneryus (from Japan, if u don't know, please listen, its awesome) are my favourite progressive/Neo Classical influence bands!

@lucas6079 No prob. As for Metallica ... I know nothing after Black album. So. There. Grew up on Slayer (quite some time ago though!).. Testament, still like them... Metallica etc but now I guess the latter just dont get to me anymore. The tattoos and all.

As for At Vance I am not a big fan, but I take your word for it and will listen.. Actually I listen to more prog rock and jazz than any other genre last 3 years or so.

@lucas6079 Actually I'm listening 90% prog metal bands. I just never stop to listen Judas Priest (in minimum every week). Other awesome prof metal band for me are Adagio (from France). Prog rock I don´t listen too much, but one of my favourite are King Crimson.

Hmm, not quite sure too make of this. I'm a massive Stargate fan and a true metal lover. It's not a bad song, but I was expecting it too be a bit more like Symphony X or Blind Guardian. I think its kinda gay, but I'll listen to the rest of the album and maybe another one if I like it, any recommendations? Also, if anyone enjoys this sort of prog, check out Star One XD

Just considering the song titles, one would think them to sometimes be over-the-top power metal. Sometimes considering the specific story, they should probably adopt that style for that particular song. Maybe to make it more to their liking, tune lower than D.

check out the bands periphery, and animals and leaders,

animals as leaders has no singer. they are both progressive but different style from all this stuff. it's neat , very good drumming in both bands.
