  • Apparently, this video is the go-to spot for right-wing losers to unload after they've had a few, gotten all fired up on Michael Savage and been turned down by their wives for sex.

  • As a Caucasian male, I somehow get the feeling that a lot of these so-called people of color are doing everything they can to remove whitey from all places of power and prestige (over the course of time). But I wonder, if they're successful in achieving their agenda, what do they think will happen to the standard of living they enjoy? After all, didn't the dreaded "white male" have just about everything to do with establishing it?

Nigeria, Salami, Mexico, ... move over -- here we come!!!

  • @guyNbluejeans "People of color" hatched an elaborate plan to take away white people's birthright. First, they allowed themselves to be put into slavery so they lull us into a false sense of security for hundreds of years, and then let us pillage their homelands so they could keep a close eye on us. Over the next few hundred years, they forced us to give them the jobs we didn't want to do. In 2008, they made the Republicans run John McCain and then, BAM! Black President. Insidious, no?

  • @streetswell Skewed and inaccurate.

  • Hitler was really Smart.. So were Stalin, Musalini, Jack the Ripper, Jeffery Dalmer, Fidel Castro, etc.. I'm still trying to understand your point? She is a LibTard Jackass who couldn't define a Republic if it walked into a voting boot and gave her a "Shellacking"... but boy is she smart!

  • @Trauncher Typo. Voting Booth.

  • Grades are subjective,as well as appointments.Test scores are objective.Where are those?

  • Yeah, what happens if you have different ideas in Cuba, China, or Mexico, or just about any other country? You get ...NOT HEARD, or KILLED. No question she is smart. MOST COMMUNISTAS ARE! Take a look at Barrak Hussien Mouhammed Obama....HE IS VERY SMART...at changing America to the country YOU or YOUR ANCESTORS LEFT! MINE TOO!

  • This is amazing! Her advocates are predominately minority? They state, "she is smart"? They believe in the activist. The constitution is what sets this country apart from others. Without it, your ancestors came here in vain! Soon the country will be like the one THEY FLED!

  • There are people on the Inside that say that can't even spell words correctly and she just doesn't care. I think she's a gooey-doughie pediphile.

  • ... This is a circus. It's a national disgrace. And from my standpoint, as a female Latin-American, it is a high-tech raping for uppity women who in any way deign to think for themselves, to have different ideas, and it is a message that unless you kowtow to an old order, this is what will happen to you. You will be raped, destroyed, caricatured by a committee of the U.S Senate rather than strewn across the floor.

  • You've never been raped, have you? Otherwise, you would not be using that word so casually and expansively. I think the word you are looking for is "critique". They are critiquing her ideas and actions.

There is nothing wrong with doing things and having ideas, per se. The problem comes when one's actions and ideas are improper.

  • You've never watched the Clarence Thomas Senate Judiciary Hearings have you? Otherwise you would not be missing the fact that my post was a near verbatim repeat of his famous "high-tech lynching" comments about "uppity blacks".

The demographics of our supreme court and government is a reflection of institutionalized racism. The televised hearings are a joke, and deserving of my satire.

There is nothing wrong with your ignorance, per se. The problem comes when you are improperly informed.

    HTH

  • I agreed that the television hearing is a joke and a circus. She will be appointed as a member of the US Suprem Court, but the opposition party (GOP) have to make it difficult. It's part of the process.

  • ooooooo kenp3L just raped you.

  • I don't care how smart she is. She's a racist pig who doesn't deserve a place in the supreme court

  • Oh for the love of god it was a comment made 8 years ago! Get over it! I'm a white male and I don't care about comments that were made 8 years ago. I care how she's gonna judge. and if these comments she made 8 years ago are the only reason you think she shouldn't be on the court then I'm not convinced. People need to grow up and suck it up.

  • Is Sotomayor is so intellectually gifted, why couldn't she answer the questions posed by Sen Coburn about her views on self defense? She sounded pretty ignorant to me in that video clip!

  • she's a hell of a lot smarter than bush, limbaugh, scalia, roberts and alito, and the rest of the right wing republican scum

  • Yes, she's Smart Enough For The Supreme Court.

  • She can't answer simple questions honestly or correctly. She's the perfect affirmative action baby. How comforting that "diversity" takes place over competence.

  • I really think all these people who are serving our country are smart no matter what color you are, but if you are white you are probably a ignorant jelous dumb piece of shit no allowing other race to be in office. White peole have always envy others as long as that shit exist in their bloods they will kill themselves inside.

  • wow keep up the good work..with bigots like you supporting this bigot mexican gal...how will she have any credibility! well done....what we need is more bigots like you to post on youtube...speak out on the t.v. tell us how you feel lol...

  • wait, are you calling ther person who posted the video bigoted? He/she was being sarcastic about how smart she is, the person who posted the video knows how smart she is.

  • Judge Sonia Sotomayor says she is a "perfect affirmative action baby," and that she was accepted to Princeton and Yale despite her lackluster test performance compared to other applicants.

  • I love that you call somebody a bigot but don't take say somebody is from the wrong place (almost certainly for prejudicial reasons). She's from the Bronx, and has a Puerto Rican, not Mexican background.

  • you can say that again!!!! You're telling nothing but the truth becuase someone on here just posted a dumbass comment on a word phase that i got wrong becuase i was defending Judge Sotomayor!! like my dad always says, some people won't change until Jesus himself returns in the clouds! and i found that out to be so true!!

  • your dad is right...read your last post...i can feel the love of Jesus in it...anyone who hates his brother does not have the light in him....yes i am pointing at you..you hate Palin you hate people who disagree with you....you have no light in you....i care less about palin and more about the supreme court not having an a.a baby on it...a bigotted woman on it...it is there to protect the freedom of all humans..the ruling she made about the firemen was wrong...deal with itm:) jesus loves you

  • Beyoncefan1000 is a model christian,Im sure Jesus would approve of you being a racist as long as it against whites. Do you and Obama go to the same church?

  • Hell yeah she's the right person for this position!!!! She's more smarter and better than Palin on any day!!! Go Sotomayor!!

  • Beyonce: She's more smarter?

  • are you trying to be sarcastic with me?? and the answer to your question is yes!!!

  • lmao are you kidding? more smarter than palin, thats why she would be great on the supreme court? Because she is MORE SMARTER.. than palin...keep up the good work lol....more smarter hahaha...do you even know what the supreme court is :)

  • I wouldn't be talking you punk ass bitch!! and for the record, Sotomayor is smarter than Palin will ever be so, don't be trying to take up for a piece of shit like Palin becuase that's just what she is a pathetic lying ass bitch who has little twirks like you wrapped up in her fingers!!

  • If,in my life,I had EVER heard a case of VOLUNTARY affirmative action in which some idealist got up and said,"Because of this country's history of racism,I'm going to give up my OWN job or opportunity," Hell, maybe these programs would have garnered a little respect for me; oddly enough, this never happened.

  • Her decision was reversed today;she took a controversial New Haven Firefighter Case ,didn't even give a written statement on it,and got bitchslapped by the Supreme Court today;it's a good day for America;after 40 years of Liberal nonsense,Working Class Whites weren't sacrificial lambs for privileged Limousine liberals to feel better about themselves.

  • That's right. Although the decision was 5-4, it's important to point out the even the 4 dissenting liberal justice did not approve SoSo's appeals court decision. Those dissenters would have remanded the case back to the lower court to look for any true evidence of test bias.

So where SoSo says that disparate test outcome is evidence -- by itself -- of racial bias, the court unanimously disagreed.

  • Of course, the history of affirmative action is a little more complicated than that...

    But what would you care?

  • I know about the history of Affirmative Action;I',m always ready to listen to people who have something more to contribute; unfortunately,I won't be around much today to answer any comments.

  • EyeLean:May I ask you 2 questions?1)Are you a supporter of Affirmative Action/ 2) If yes, the next time you are eligible for a promotion will you be willing to forego it and tell your administration, that ,because of the country's history of racism, you wish that promotion to be given to a minority instead? If so,I think it will be the first time act of "volunyart A.A. ever, and I would respect that . It might get some publicity you can try starting a new "voluntary Aff.Action;".

  • You ask whether I am a supporter of affirmative action. That's like asking whether I support war.

Yes, some folks think war is always the answer and some think it's never the answer, but most reasonable people would say war is something we sometimes have to resort to, when we're out of options in defending vital interests. Same with AA.

Like war, we've sometimes resorted to it unwisely - but there have been occasions when it was appropriate, in my view.

  • Would I be willing to make a significant personal sacrifice for A.A.?

Again, that depends, just as it would with war.

When it served a vital interest of my nation or state, yes, I certainly would willingly give up a promotion or even decide to defer entrance into a particular field (or switch fields).

If I saw a particular A.A. program as detrimental, however, I would in that case be against it, whether I had any personal stake in it or not.

  • When is it beneficial, you may ask.

In the South in the 50s & 60s, all cops were white. No blacks allowed. When cops dealt with blacks they often were brutal, even if they were just going about their business, not protesting. Historical fact.

Integrating those police forces through AA cut way down on racist police brutality & the entire society benefited as a result, even though some whites missed out on jobs when qualified blacks got preference (no standards were lowered).

    This is good A.A.

  • Eyelean:Well,the 60's are over,and it's time to end it. as far as no standards being lowered,that doesn't stand the test of logic,or correspond to the experience of anyone who ever took a Civil Service Test;if no standards are being lowered,and applicants are taking a test to gain admittance to a police academy,then why do they need a racial identification question box?The solution of racial inequality is fixing inner city schools so that minorities can compete;

  • Thanks for sharing your opinion. Here's mine.

"the 60s are over" is a thought-stopping platitude that has nothing to do with anything.

The question should always be: is affirmative action and the smaller injustices that come along with it necessary to correct a much larger injustice that is impacting the wider society?

Honestly, I am not aware of a situation in my region right now that would require A.A., so I see no immediate need for it in my area.

  • Eyelean You're an inteligent person who stays on point,so i"m trying to keep it a little more civil than the average youtube debate1);"the 60's are over ' is not a platitude ;it is reality;do I have to list the social changes since then?Or cite the number of Southern black mayors?;My statement is absolutely relevant to the dynamics you were referring to in your statement about white cops policing black neighborhoods.2)YOU say the question is "Is A.A. necessary to correct larger injustice"?

  • Perhaps we are splitting hairs here. Too many times, I hear people say "the 60s are over" just as a way to shut down debate - you're saying you were not doing that but remarking on broad cultural changes. Fine, I believe you.

Look, I gave the example I did because it is so clear-cut as to be an obviously just use of affirmative action AND because it was a generation ago so that it shouldn't raise the passions that current events can (for example, we can all agree slavery was bad, right?).

  • I still believe my position is the more rational one because it doesn't rule anything out once and for all.

My stance is: we must take the problem of disparities that seem based on race on a case-by-case basis and use what tools we can to try to solve those problems.

IF affirmative action is clearly warranted (as it was in my original example) it should be considered. If something else would work better (for society as a whole, not just the minority), then AA should not be considered.

  • Eyelean5280 The answer is obvious ;where discrimination is found, you punish severely;if it's a University, you yank their non-profit status or terminate government contracts;,';I don't find anything "rational'about trying to create equality by raising some and punishing others; I asked you about making a voluntary sacrifice;;if you can't give an unconditional "Yes',then how can you feel justified supporting, for instance, New Haven against the White firefighter? Can' t you see elitism there?

  • The elitism I see is in your attitude, which is getting annoying to the point where it's tempting to dismiss your arguments b/c it's so irritating to be blasted with your self-righteousness. If you want to win people over, you'd be better off simmering down and respecting their good faith.

If the answer were so "obvious" there would be agreement, not controversy around the issue.

There's no such thing as an "unqualified" yes or no with such complex questions - except for the mentally lazy.

  • And speaking of mentally lazy, I guess I've been wasting my time on YOU.

Even with my long, careful answers, you still accuse me of supporting the New Haven case (which I NEVER mentioned) even though it should have been very clear that you had no basis on which to leap to that conclusion.

I'm not interested in people who cannot absorb what others say so unless you're ready to really listen, don't bother responding.

  • On the other hand, on the national level, we see serious disparities surrounding race. For example, in 1900, about 2% of American doctors were black. Today blacks make up a little more than 4%. That's only a two-percentage point gain in over 100 years.

What should be done? I am not sure, as I am not an expert. The situation calls for study and action. Mexico has some very promising new programs to address such things we should look at.

But AA should be among the tools considered.

  • Eyelean;Every individual is responsible for their own fate;you can help, but trying to raise some by denying others is a oppression;r ;It's un-American to the core;;A.A. programs are an excuse to not fix the schools so that the kids can compete;t;a few years ago,a Southern Cal.University was found guilty of quotas against Asians;that is as infuriating as the Firefighter case;Let the school become !00% Asian if they are outworking the other kids;others will respond to the challenge.

  • Well, we seem to agree on some issues (improving the school experiences to give all students equal ability to compete) but disagree on others (whether there's an ongoing problem of racial exclusion that should occasionally be addressed directly through affirmative action).

I don't think we're going to change one another's minds right now, but I appreciate the solid arguments you've made and will think them over.

    Good night.

  • Eyelean Thank You for the discussion ,theintelligence brought to it,and the civility.Good DAY.

  • Mathematically speaking, an increase from 2% to 4% is actually a 100 percent increase!

    That's 100 percent in 100 years!

    That's progress.

  • I think maybe you were being wry?

    Anyway, if you were, sorry.

  • I agree with you about inner city schools. But we should realize that any solution we apply will be complex and multifaceted. Schools, students and especially parents all have to change the way they conduct themselves.

One thing I will say - I never, ever support the lowering of entrance standards in colleges or job situations. The thing is to make sure a higher percentage can meet those standards, then if (and only if) it is necessary, perhaps apply Affirmative Action measures.

  • Others would say the question is "Is it Just?the country is founded onI NDIVIDUAL rights Your philosophy destroys the individual;everyone just becomes a member of a group?The SC reflected this when they said"The Best way to End Discrimination is to stop Discriminating"I'm sorry you think it's more "thoughtful"to rationalize sacrificing OTHER PEOPLE'S opportunities;I don't think it's" thoughtful"I think it is arrrogant,cowardly,and a form of aggression;

  • She didn't graduate at the top of her class. Btw.

  • Oh right, she wasn't at the top. She was only SECOND in her class at PRINCETON. And then she was an editor of Yale Law Review.

Do you have any idea what type of smarts it takes to achieve either of those things?

  • "she was not considered the brightest in her year, according to many classmates"

  • I hadn't seen that article before. That article is referring to her time at Yale. And the tone of the piece seems to be that everybody thinks she's going to be a fine justice.

And the quote doesn't actually say that she was anywhere close to the bottom or anything, it outright names one guy, who is now a partner at a very prestigious firm, who they think was the smartest in the class.

Again, she was an editor of the law review, where grades and writing get you on.

  • Do you know what "hearsay" means and why it's not admissible as evidence?

  • If intellectual capability were the only issue most SCOTUS nominees would be shoo-ins.

The Alamanac of the Federal Judiciary questions her judicial temperament. She performs worse than all other members of her appeals court.

She is more frequently reversed than her counterparts. On the Sup Court, there will be no higher court to fix her bad decisions.

If you replace "latina" or "female" with "white" or "male" people would not only be calling her racist, but also the Pres who nominated her.

  • The question isn't about if she is intellectually capable, but if she is morally handicapped with a racial prejudice.

  • Well of course Sonia Sotomayor isn't the only Justice that Obama has the chance to nominate. John Paul Stevens is the longest serving current Justice, 89 years old, was appointed by Gerald Ford who is dead, has been on the court for over 30 years. He's bound to die within Obama's presidency.

  • Liberals are the only people on the planet who don't know the difference between knowledge and wisdom (which means they won't understand this post, either).

  • i guess book smarts and common sense are not connected.why have 80% of her rullings been overturned in apeals court? why was she repramanded by one of her latino coligues in a stern letter after a bad rulling against some white firefighters, favoring affirmative action.i guess our society is still far from color blind.

  • She has a reversal rate of 1.3%. So where do you get 80%? Oh wait, that's right you're quoting Limbaugh the ultimate source of....I'll refrain from completing that sentence. She has had 5 cases that were appealed and came before the Supreme Court and 3 resulted in reversals. There is a huge difference between 3 out of 232 & 186 out of 232. My book smarts tell me he's full of BS and can't handle basic math, my street smarts tell me not to trust him :(

  • if she can break her ankle, she's smart enough

  • watch: Bush Crime Family, Clinton Chronicles, and Obama Deception. Then tell me how much difference there is.

  • Smart doesn't mean a damn thing if she is racist, and she sure as hell sounds like it. Bobo just wants another far-left idealogue in his camp. I wonder if she is a tax-cheat too.

  • She sounds racist becaue Rush said so right? read the whole speech you dimwit.

  • Everyone is fuckin racist. The only difference is that some people let it slip in their talk more than others. Enough with being caught up on the fuckin term. Are you gonna fuckin tell me that the justices on the SC aren't racist? Really? REALLY? Or are you going to merely dwell on the fact that they didn't provide a nice little clip for everyone to obsess over.

It's easy to ignore substance when we obsess over form. Too easy.

  • When obama loses the court case and has to expose his lack of the citizenship requirements to be the president, will she lose her job also?

  • Hey biggie:

Dr Obama may very well be illegal but it will never be established, there being no court case now, tomorrow, forever. You already knew that, mang.

  • What happen to the suit filed by a military officer? So, no I don't know that.

  • big-2:

Onliest suit most have heard about is the one filed by the attorney Philip Berg from PA and it has seemingly gone off the radar.

  • Smart?

Bill Clinton was smart. Jimmy Carter was smart. I assume even Barack Obama is smart.

Being smart isn't good enough. Wisdom and understanding are both far more important.

I don't care what brand or variation of socialism this administration has adopted, but history says that it will fail.

"Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it"

Obama says this will be the Age of Sacrafice.......and I'm sorry to hear that

  • Like George Bush's wisdom and understanding? I think I prefer the Clinton's wisdom kind of smart... you know the one that really tries to understand things in many colors rather than trying to paint the world black and white.

  • this is so funny.

  • God Damn Mexicans want to free load off America and welfare checks. THATS YOUR TAX DOLLARS! Mexicans have no idea of Constitutional Principles. They come on OUR LAND calling US racist while throwing around the "W" word. This mass exodus is an invasion. Get at the end of the line like everyone else. is that too much to ask?

    No green card? NO EMPLOYMENT.

    comprenday?

  • The spics are taking over. Before you know it illegal aliens will be "legal" and steal all the votes from ron paul.

Welcome to the North American Union

  • Well, you're a fucking racist moron, but what can you expect from a Ron Paul supporter?

  • Can't you see obama NOT securing the borders? This mass exodus is an invasion and obama wants their votes. WAKE UP !

Whats wrong with Ron Paul, and obeying the constitution?

You like the federal Income Tax?

You like the Federal Reserve ripping us off?

You like Obama as a gun grabber?

youth brigades? The national tax we may soon be paying to compensate for bailout bills? This unconstitutional war?

    liberal neocon fascist zionist fuck.

get an education, use your fucking head.

  • It's useless arguing with you, cultist.

  • If civil liberties, non bloated federal government, and our constitutional roots is cultist... then i'll take that as a badge of pride.

Ron Paul raised millions more campaign funds than all you neocons with out the help of corporations. Just good ol citizens and troops. Are the troops cultists too? NAhhh!

  • you watch too much fox news.

  • Sigh, Instead of nit picking political correctness, just know the facts.

Typical socialist bringing the country to it's knees.

    RON PAUL 2012!

  • She can't be that smart if she said "a wise Latina woman would often make better decisions than a white male." Her comment is not only racist, but sexist as well. 2 birds with one stone.

  • this is coming from the party that has nominated dan quayle, w, and sarah palin. i thought the gop didnt care about intelect

  • Who's delusional here?

Again, you don't get to "find someone" for the Supreme Court opening. You're not the president; you're not the "decider".

The president is the only "decider" who gets to find and put someone on the court, and in this care whoever he finds will get confirmed because his party and allies control the Senate.

There is NOTHING you can do about. Not a thing. Nada. So just suck it up.

  • "There is NOTHING you can do about. Not a thing. Nada. So just suck it up."

That attitude seems like a recipe for the Dems to lose seats in 2010.

  • "That attitude seems like a recipe for the Dems to lose seats in 2010."

Guess that they didn't learn a lesson from the Republican losses in '06 and '08..

  • "Guess that they didn't learn a lesson from the Republican losses in '06 and '08.."

I think I agree. I think many voters were dissatisfied with Bush's wars. I think he lost a lot of voters over that.

But strictly as a matter of voting on social issues, I think the Democrats' sweeping losses in 1994 (Clinton's first mid-term election) would be a better example of the penalty for over-aggressive partisan policies.

  • Except much of current voters are more likely to recall 2000/2004's policies and failures before they consider Clinton's. Bush's debacles are far clearer in our mind than anything the Clinton's did or didn't do.

  • She interprets the constitution to mean that Americans don't have the right to keep and bear arms except in the military.

Puppet-Obama is merely moving a step closer to implementing the Puppet-Bush, Police State, Patriot Act legislation with this nomination of Sonia Sotomayor. Left/right is only a distraction from the power behind the curtain: Rothschild's soon to be 1-world gov and banking cartel.

  • Brilliant ending

  • Sotomayor was summa cum laude from Princeton? One must be quite smart to get that award. I'm sure she is of above-average intelligence, well-above-average intelligence even, but I don't know. She doesn't seem to be *that* smart. Even average Princeton grads are like scary smart. Can we be sure that this award is not the result of some home cooking on the part of Princeton?

  • 1, latin honors are given to over half of the class

2, the law review is often given to minorities for affirmative action purposes

3, if law school is anything like medical school, the standardized test standards are far far lower for hispanics and blacks (@50th percentile) than they are for asians and whites (@85th percentile). The hardest part of these programs is getting in.

So yes, chances are she is intellectually underpowered relative to her non minority peers.

  • "So yes, chances are she is intellectually underpowered relative to her non minority peers."

Thanks for clearing that up for me. What you wrote is sort of what I suspected.

  • What BS...try looking into her background before accepting some random comment on YT.

She was her High School Valedictorian

    Princeton Summa Sum Laude

    Elected to Phi Beta Kappa

An editor of the Yale Law Journal

A Prosecutor for New York County DA

Entered private practice where she specialized in intellectual property litigation

Yeah, that the resume of a "intellectually underpowered" individual... what hogwash.

  • Evidently Americans want legislation

    from the bench. Totally Unconstitutional.

  • Apparently your comment has NOTHING to do with the subject, but if you'll recall, there's MORE than one justice on the bench... so i'm not worried about your whining about supposed "unconstitutional" decisions.

  • Hahaha This video was funny.

  • as long as they made sense and doesnt sound like a bunch of angry yelling that lacks substance.

  • I encourage all the republicans and conservatives who have concerns about this nominee to say what you really feel. Everyone appreciates what you have to say about Judge Sotomayor. Please don't hold back.

  • lmao like the hate filled republicans ever ''hold back'' hell Limbaugh already called her a racist.

  • i knew someone was gonna say it but you said it best. lol cool video.

  • Sotomayor's judiciary decisions have been overturned 65% of the time; bad track record for any judicial judge and this alone should rule her out. a racist incompatant ........ female version of David Duke... LA Razza? racist extreemist organization

  • nowhiteguilthere, you misspelled incompetent...

  • The Supreme Court overturns 80% of decisions, so if Sotomayors record is 65% she's doing very well.

  • That's like saying someone is batting .350 therefore they suck. Maybe you should figure out what the typical overturn rate is first before you say stupid shit. And stop being a right-wing sheep who tries to make idiotic points that Fox News tells you to make. Moron.

  • Black man give the jobs that blacks want to Haspanics. I'm just glad she's not Mexican. Fucking uncle tom nigga

  • yeah hire ONLY old white men, we've seen how well THEY run this country ((straight into a toilet))

  • hears a good idea lets not pick people on the color of skin or age, lets pick the best of the best. A person who says they will make law from the bench, I want nothing to do with that type of judge, by your own post, should not we be in a great rebound by now we have a young non-white running things, everywhere i look it getting worse not better.

  • Hey right-wing moron, you think these people have gotten the positions they have because the color of their skin? Lol, yeah I'm sure it was so much easier for a black man to be prez or a latina woman to become a supreme court justice than it was for a white guy. Actually, these people overcame adverse childhoods and were top performers at prestigious universities. Unlike that dumb ass neck from Crawford who was a C student at Yale and probably didn't even deserve to be there.

  • Wow your an angry guy, notice I did not say white, black, blue, that is because unlike you I as a right winger do not look at the color of skin, also how many poor white kids overcome things to become great americans ie Clinton. And I see you leave out Bush's school record at Harvard. Actually yes in the case of Sotomayer I do believe she was picked because of her background, if she was picked for her great judical reviews then why has she been overturened by the supreme court 5 of 6 times

  • Percentage of Hispanics registered as Republicans: 21% --- Percentage of Hispanics re-registering w/ the Democratic party after some

blowhole Republicans deemed a bright, educated, well qualified Hispanic woman a ''racist'' ...21% ... Way to keep building that

    ''big tent''

  • "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasnt lived that life................................I would hope that a wise caucasian man with the richness of his experience would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a latina woman who hasnt lived that life....anything wrong between the two..its ok if a hispanic says it, but if a white said it he would be "lit up" by the media

  • You're taking 35 words out of a 68 minute speech. Ridiculous. Simply ridiculous.

  • She is not "racist" and you have to understand de facto discrimination to understand the context of her comments.

  • This is great, up there with the McCain rap, and the Gay Mafia ones. Lol.

  • more racist people obama come on now im starting to worry about you

  • They should look at their fellow right-wingers and then either set some lower standards for the intelligence of public figures or remain hypocrites.

  • Let's see, she graduated from Yale....same university as W, with one exception. She didn't have a rich family to get her admitted.

  • Well she had to work hard it seems. And nobody pulled the strings for her.

  • the strings are called affirmative action

  • Affirmative action may help someone get into princeton but it doesn't make someone graduate at the top of their class at princeton.

  • jonnie:

Afirm-action seems to mandate that an individ. continue to dress like a holmes-girl given the fact that Judge Sonia looks more like a streetwalker than a grades-getter.

  • She probably wouldn't have even needed affirmative action to get into princeton, she did graduate high school as a valedictorian.

And may I see one of these pics of her dressing like a "holmes-girl"

  • A 54 year-old woman who's 40 lbs overweight, shows half her chest and wears dimestore suits that are way too short is most assuredly telling us she is a holmes-girl. You already knew that, j/w.

  • I did an image search on google and went through 15 pages on google and didn't see anything particularly revealing on trashy, and even if she did dress like a "holmes-girl" it wouldn't have a thing to do with affirmative action

  • Intelligence isn't the issue here. And remember that intellect can and has on many occasions been used for evil purposes.

I think the real issue here is racism. Some of her statements have racial overtones in them. Do we want to go back to what it was like before the civil war? I guess slavery is the light at the end of the tunnel after all eh?

  • Republicans think Sotomayor is "dumb" but Sarah Palin is qualified to become vice president. Talk about stupidity!

  • What's really telling is that these "sources" who question her intellect won't reveal themselves - they're all "unnamed" sources.

Saying that someone with Sotomayor's background is not very smart is an extraordinary claim and as such requires extraordinary evidence.

So come forward! Show your face to the world and present your case like a grownup instead of cravenly sniveling in the shadows!

Otherwise, we have to assume you are just projecting & TU STULTUS ES

  • lol......cum

  • Just the fact that they are saying she isn't smart enough is proof of their own ignorance. The stupidity never ceases to amaze me! I wonder who they think is smart... Joe The Plumber? Carrie Prejean? Who?

  • lol you forgot sarah palin lol they actually want her to run in 2o12

  • what republican party? that will be the result if she runs its pretty much the result now cuz of bush

  • Your faith in Statism is scary.

  • it means a new flood at the boarder of her cousins

  • For starter's its "border" not " boarder"

& She's not Mexican she's Puerto Rican so exactly which "boarder" as you put it would they be flooding across?

  • lol. nailed!

  • Note to headzup--Intelligence alone is not all that is required to fulfill the duties of the position. Some of the most evil figures in world history were "smart".

  • Note to Pendragon1717--Ironic humor is what they were going for. They're using the republican response against itself (as they often do) as the joke.

  • Ha ha, at my college graduation my 15 year old niece was like, "dang, there's a lot of people in the cum laude" family - ha ha: I guess that would be my family.

  • When Sarah Palin becomes POTUS, she will ensure that the SUPREME COURT be entirely comprised of CONSERVATIVE WHITE WOMEN for she will DRIVE ALL MEN OUT!

  • i miss bush

  • I'm sure Cheney misses Bush too, but his aim is getting better.

Seriously, the only reason why I miss Bush is because he was easy fodder for late night comedians.

  • They asked Palin's daughter when she graduated recently "So you graduated...Cum Laude?" She said, "No my parents will hear!"

Stole that one from Bill Maher.

  • Love Bill Maher

  • Actually, I don't know what Summa Cum Laude means either. But I don't oppose Sotomayor. I mean, she is brilliant. There's no question. The question that Republicans should ask if they want a debate is, will she rule in a way beneficial to America?

  • I bet Sarah Palin cums loud.

  • @Randomologist1

Wow! That's so clever and original! You get a gold star!

  • Gold and Silver only (Law of the land)

Notice Obama doesn't even speak about the Federal Reserve counterfeiting YOUR cuntry's money into oblivion. Same sick strategy was used on the German people before the banks introduced Mr. Hitler himself. Sure wish you folks would wake the fck up.

  • Who's claiming that the judge is not smart enough to be on the Supreme Court?

  • Summa Cum Laude?

  • top of class.

  • Thank you. You know I was thinking "Some Cum Loud". I feel so ignorant now....

  • This settles it: people need to learn latin.

  • Sarah Palin is a fucking idiot.

  • I can't believe Republicans actually spit out attacks like this.

  • I can. It's their way of life

  • When an individual, group, or institution has its back against the wall, its real character is revealed. The Republicans are going through some dark times, and this is how they behave: with vicious attacks that hold no water.

  • Attacks hold a little more water today.Good Riddance to her.

  • That's exactly how I feel about Palin: Good riddance!

  • Loooooooool
