  • Pretty good.

  • That makes no sense.

  • This actually sounds awesome

  • It woulda been cool if they put this in the end credits of dark of the moon lol

  • lololololol cant understand this ftw

  • Did anyone else notice that they misspelled "Mysterious?"

  • All I can say is: Banzai!

  • @spacebullseye there's a decepticon named banzaitron

  • @meshachmh

Do you have any idea how awesome that is?

  • Since the original 1980's Transformers was canon, its safe to say, everything after G1 was bullshit.

  • the electric drum in this song kicks ass.

  • man this song kicks ass

  • i loved the Megatron's underling who had little robot cassettes

also when i herd the song the image of space anime girls with guns came to my mind

  • Dcepticons=comunism!

    Outobots=democracy!

    oh these americans XD

  • Hasbro make GI JOE in 60's, Takara want to sell in Japan, but Vietnam War, US Soldiers not so good idea, hey Clear Plastic SciFi gimmick,Henshin Cyborg, too big for accesories?, make Microman, litle guys need robo side kicks from toy cars, watches, toy guns and cassettes etc, hey why not Car Robot spinoff, but CassetteMan and GunRobo are crap names, 84 Hasbro comes in with 3 prong marketing scheme with Marvel and Sunbow, it's like saying that a person only had one parent. Get a clue.

  • @Padata3000 Agreed, Transformers was a collaboration between a lot of people, Japan made the designs while Hasbro, Marvel and Sunbow basically took care of the rest.

  • @Padata3000 takara started in japan, the hasbro we know it self was, created after a merger(takeover), if i remember correctly hasbro wasn't the original name either(but that doesn't mater). Its that they wanted to sell in america, you've got it right other wise

  • @rwp140 yeah you're right I think it was Takara and Toei Doga.

  • @Padata3000 lol its wierd how when u think of it, transformers originated as g.i. joe

  • wow.. this.. its.. im in ah of awsome

  • Thumbs up if the tune sounds like a dramatic mario sonic crossover

  • name conversions

    convoy-optimus prime

  • No idea what she's saying, but the song sounds wonderful!

  • Cool.. I do hope that she actually sang "We are the only HOPE" :P

  • Man the Japanese got the coolest opening songs.

  • the Country of origin is the United States

  • @jackiedoit1 Wrong

  • @jermzii your wrong stupid

  • @jackiedoit1 now, now.. no need for name calling.. we can both be wrong.. or right depending on how you look at it. read the wikipedia page on it

  • @jermzii bitch

  • @jackiedoit1 listen you prepubescent little turd!! why don't you go back to firing fuckin' blanks while you try to jerk off to the latest Hannah Montana episode before your parents get home from work, and stop talking shit, both to me and about things your inconceivably small mind knows nothing about, The Transformers are American but were based on the toys, Which are fuckin' Japanese dumbshit.

  • @jermzii adding to dat, the series was done in anime animation for the first season and most of the second season, albeit a bit cheaper, but still.

  • @jackiedoit1 as wrong as that is. i dnt feel like feeding the trolls

  • Ahhh the song is so much more lighthearted.

  • The song is very typical for a 70s-80s mecha anime

    ...not...enough...cheesiness!

  • wat da fuck

  • lol love how the intro is done in a badass high grade anime style (for both japanese and american versions) but the show itself hes animation that goes from bearable to eye gauging.

  • It's just not right....

  • OH MY GOD!!! THIS SONG SUCK!!!

  • yeah because US were sucks at making mecha type anime.

  • @yuri142 all the episodes of the show were written and recorded in the US, but the animation was done by Toei Studios in Japan. So this series is one of those anime-hybrid cartoons.

  • yeah america made transformers much better

  • sweet childhood memories.......

  • love it

  • lmao

  • Transformers are so great ! And this opening are so cool! This make me want to watch the transformers again all the series! I going now and put transformers on dvd and see all the episode! wohoo! Transformers!

  • great music !

  • Everyone knows Transformers was ANIMATED in Japan.

  • damn right, by Sunbow which was half Marvel comics and Toei...even the song here i like better than the original season 1 american openein. but the season 3/4 american song kicks teh ass of this one though with its industrial music sound. that same season 3 industrial song was sometimes used in place of season 2's original song, in syndication.

  • Which has been the bane of American tv since it's beginning.

  • 1:06 did bumblebee transformed into a flying car?

  • that was in his original cybertron form, before they arrived on earth.

  • that was 1:07-8,but yeah,

it was his Cybertronian alternate mode

  • NICE !! :D

  • Darn it! Is there nothing Japan gets better versions of?!

  • @chykinx5000

    What exactly do you mean?

  • download link plz

  • very interesting...the song is so cool....

    "TRANSFORMA".....

  • DARENO KOKORO

    MYSTERIOUS MIIIINNDD

  • soooo. its the whole "more than meets the eye" trilogy reduced into one minute?

    lol.

  • The story for Transformers G1 was written and recorded in the USA, while Japan and South Korea animated the show, so it's a mixture of anime and American cartoons.

  • Really? Well, in that case, I can only imagine that if this was animated entirely by Japanese artists, then chances are it'd have decent quality. I'm not putting anyone down, I'm just saying that because some vivid examples of old school anime come to mind; stuff like Robotech. More spesifically; Macross and Southern Cross. Those are old school 80s stuff, but they had some decent looking animation compared to this cartoon.

  • really? the humans don't look to anime-ish.

  • Also I believe Transformers initially originated in Japan, I know the story is American, but most of the charaters, like Optimus Prime and Megatron were from Diaclone and Microman.

  • Not quite; the toys on which Optimus Prime, Megatron and all the rest of the original G1 cast were based originated from those toylines, but Diaclone, Microman and so on never had a plot or characters.

The characters of Prime, Megatron and the entire Transformers lore and concept were created jointly by Hasbro, Sunbow and Marvel, the three US companies behind the toys, cartoon and comics respectively.

  • @nobodysperfect06 They still weren't characters at that point, just toy molds, nothing more. America was the one that made them characters.

  • @nobodysperfect06 The cartoon was totally American besides some of the in-between animation work, which is often outsourced to Korea or Japan, but yeah- the toys that the characters were developed from came out of three other lines.

Japan did however pick up the series after the three American episodes that introduced the Headmasters.

  • can someone tell me the name of the artist?

  • It's Satoko Shimonari.

  • thanks, i really love this song... i like both..US and JP

  • BREAK UP MOTHERFUCKERS!

  • Never knew the old Transformers that well (was born in 93, so what do you expect) but man, this tune kicks some major ass! It has some of the best bass I've ever heard.

  • that's called masterforce

  • hey does anyone besides me knows about the japanese transformers that were humans that found two golden bracelets and when uniting them they would turn into some sort of tape and unite with their respectives vehicles to turn into a transformer???

if anyone knows where to find those episodes please share!!

  • Sounds like the series "Super God MasterForce". Google it.

  • found them!! you rock dude!!

i thought i was the only one who knew about them since nobody even mentions them

  • Happy to help. Its probably one of the least popular incarnations of the series, due to 1. Not being released in the US until decades later 2. Having humans turning into transformers and 3. not featuring the classic characters.

  • Its a japanese show brought over same with go bot, which is called machine robo in japan.

  • I like this song , is better than the U.S.A. tune. I know U.S.A. is repetitive .

What is the name of this song?

  • It's just "Transformer" by Satoko Shimonari.

  • this is the real TRANSFORMER not the pissy Transformers Animated one

  • We hope the only world...

    ...what? is saved? What? Whaaat?!

  • mmmmm :P,prefiero la versión gringa...y eso que me gusta el japones.

  • Me gusta mas esta version, la version yanki parece una intro de batman o superman de los años 60..

  • This intro sounds so out of place.

  • i´d say...

  • Classic...

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, I liked the Japanese Intro too! Anyways, did Transformers first came to Japan or America?

  • thay came to Japanese first than America

  • The original toys were Japanese, but the versions sold in America was redecos. The cartoon was written and recorded in America, and the animation was done in Japan for the first two series and South Korea for the third.

  • Are you sure about that because I think South Korea handled everything up until the point of Headmasters in Japan and TF:TM of course.

  • Nope. Toei, a Japanese studio, did the animation for the first two series and the movie. Series 3 was partly done by Toei and partly by AKOM, a South Korean studio. AKOM was cheaper, but also sloppier.

The episode "Call of the Primitives" was animated by Studio Ox.

  • Headmsters, Masterforce, Victory and Zone is what I was talkin about.

  • They were done by Toei as well.

  • Some say TMS did that episode.

  • Transformers are japanese not american..

  • It was made from a collaberation of Hasbro and Takara.

The original toys were made in Japan, but they weren't Transformers, There were no good guys or bad guys or characters. Just drones that could turn into vehicles. Hasbro created the characters and story.

The show's animation wasn't done in the US, but that was it. The G1 show was never a dub or anything like that. It was made in the US (at least until the end of season 3).

  • its american! made by the same creators of gijoe

  • theTransformers was Written and recorded in America but the series was animated in Japan and South Korea. so yes it japanses anime !

  • Hmm, I'd say it's a mix of both. The ideas/concepts from Japan, the story from America.

  • i dont like Transformers Animated it not the real Transformers. the real Transformers will ally be the forme the 80s

  • The music per se is not bad, it is relaxing and good... however, the only downside... its that it just doesnt fit with Transformers... and that why I think the US opeing is better.

Dont get me wrong, as I said, I like the japanese sog opening... but it just doesnt fit the whole theme of two robot factions fighting a war.

  • what's the name of this song???

  • Japanese songs is much more relaxing..

  • omg!! damn you!! damn you all!!! youve killed it you really killed it!!

  • the japanese opening is not only more deatiled japanese transformers series in general were all much better one thing to take note of on alot of the boxes for the toys in america they show one character in japan theres multiple characters on the box which makes a much more better piece

  • WOW!!!...very different but neat.... :)

  • WAKE UP!

  • Man, the English song just does it so much better for me <@_@)

  • I like them both!

  • If you notice in a lot of anime in the '80's a lot of the music was very good. At least there's a melody and meaning to transformers rather than just saying "robots in disguise"

  • yeah your right

i like the way it sounds the first 45 seconds

  • But those japanese intro themes all sound the same. The original Transformers theme is unique.

  • And that means all Japanese Animation intro themes sound the same? That's a pretty generalized accusation. If you study Japanese, there's some things in the emotional context of songs that have a deeper meaning than just saying "Transformers robots in disguise." That's great and all, but I personally need something a bit more moving. It's just personal preference.

  • U.S.ver is good but not just usable in Japan.

Because it is just too brusque with a Japanese child

  • What's with the 80's dance music? Yeah, really unfitting.

  • Wow, the opening for G1 in Japan just seems so...unfitting...

  • to be exact Toei did animate some of season 1 and season 2 along with the japanese only Scramble City, Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory and Zone

  • this anime created japanese company toei

  • sorry

this anime created by japanese company toei

    my englisy sooo bad

  • This isn't anime and Toei didn't create it, they only animated it. It was created by Sunbow Productions and Marvel Productions in the US.

  • cópia dos mechas japoneses... ;)

  • Can you tell me where I can download that song?

  • I remember this intro from my childhood, but also saw the US series, since my family moved back and forth. I still prefer the US one, as it's the original.

  • Transformers is not Japanese, and never was. The Diaclone toys were the inspiration for Transformers, but that's it. All the character profiles, storyline, etc, were developed by the US. So no, this is not Japanese anime, but it is anime in the sense of animation (the original meaning), just like Disney, WB, and all forms of animation.

  • u got it right sister! someone who knows thiere history!

  • I know it is so unfitting and he's your sister!Lol I know what you meen by that

  • More info: "Floro Dery was primarily responsible for the look and feel of the Transformers cartoon series program, and he was the visual creator of The Transformers: The Movie. He refined some of the initial season one animated character models done in Japan, and subsequently interpreted the toy box art for further characters, creating the models that would become the visual guidelines both for the comic books and the animated cartoon.

  • For those who like wiki: "The basic back-story of the toyline and subsequent comic books and cartoons was developed by the Marvel Comics writers Jim Shooter and Dennis O'Neil; it was O'Neil who actually changed Convoy's name to Optimus Prime. Most of the subsequent character names and profiles throughout the original run were done by the primary Transformers US comic book writer, Bob Budiansky."

  • The theme song of our country does not lose in U.S.A.

By the way, as for this animated cartoon, there were a great many eye catches.

The appearance transformed to the dinosaur was very cute.

  • The story might have been American but the Animation is still Japanese/Korean. It is still considered Anime.

One of my all time favorite shows. The Japanese theme song is way cooler than the US theme song.

  • Nobody considers it anime. It's an American cartoon and that's that.

  • Do the Japanese consider it one also?

  • Then that means Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Batman Beyond, The Simpsons, Family Guy, you name it, can be all considered Korean or Japanese respectively. What a pathetic argument. Just because something is animated somewhere else, it doesn't mean that the series is just that. The production and creative staff are the creators. A lot of Japanese anime can be considered Korean using your argument then.

  • I am backing you as what you say is the truth. Co-productions like this have been done a lot. In the 80s Cities of Gold was created for Japanese TV and animated in Japan with a Japanese look. However it was a French co-production with the story done by the French so its not just Japanese.

  • This really isn't a co-production. It was made entirely in America and just had animation outsourced to Japan and Korea.

  • I see what you mean, like the Simpsons etc.

  • wish I knew where to download this song.

  • do you want that song?

  • I like this a little more than it's Us counterpart...

  • Wiki-->The Transformers is an American animated television series depicting a war between giant robots who could transform into vehicles, animals, and other objects. Written and recorded in America, and produced for American audiences, the series was animated in Japan and South Korea, and was based upon the line of transforming toys originally created by Japanese toy manufacturer Takara, which were developed into the Transformers line by American company Hasbro.

  • Drawing is Japanese and watching the American version--- The voice timing doesn't even match the lips and the characters motion are off.

  • LOVE THIS SONG!

  • I like both the US und JP opening.

  • Wow... As much as I like Japanese opening themes, I like the US version way better on this XD it sounds a lot better. Fits more. This, on the other hand, makes it sound a lot... softer, I guess XD

  • The toys were made originally in Japan, from Takara. the original name of the lines were Microman and Diaclone (Optimus Prime was from the Diaclone line, and was (and is still named) Battle Convoy there. Hasbro licensed them for international use and then they created the cartoons here, while they made the toys and Licensed the original comic book rights to marvel. you can find the japanese toy ads here in youtube.

  • the toys are from a japanese line, they sell the rigths to marvel to make the comic and the animated series

  • CrimsonZanpakuto speaks the truth. Generation 1 (original) transformers is US BASED. IT WAS BROUGHT OVER TO JAPAN. People working on the show happened to be Asian and liked the show enough to get it brought to their own country. Jeez people...US makes good cartoons sometimes....its just been 23 years since they did...the last one being transformers :).

  • zomg! this pwnz ^^

  • Ah beautiful opening..it exists to remind some ppl of the origin of transformers, japanese not american.I liked the US song as welll though :)

  • Transformers was not Japanese, it was American. It was made from two Japanese toy lines of robots, Hasbro (American toy company) merged the two for their own toy line, the Transformers.

So, technically, Transformers is American. You can plainly see that the ending title screen was super-imposed at the end.

  • Yeah,the lyrics.

  • of course, usians love to butcher japanese anime openings.

  • first off, it's American.

Second, Transformers was made by an American company, Hasbro. Japan, airing this, is the one butchering this time.

  • The opening theme is really different from the US ver.

  • You mean with words?

  • and music
