  • Why are his rear wheels moving backwards, while his front are going forwards? Is he in gear or something?

  • The wheels are spinning the opposite way because the car doesn't have a limited slip. And no you should not use the clutch to slow down when being towed in an see car. Unless you want to ruin the center diff.

  • oh god

  • ебанутые суки...субару мучают...суки

  • That extra downforce from the spoiler really helped out. I'm also impressed by the novel way of improving airflow beneath the chassis by automatically applying hot oil directly to the ground.

  • anyone got the stats for that wrangler? sounded like a V8 swap

  • That's a shame, poor car. It didn't miss one rock. Next mod = lift kit

  • Was that the owner being towed?Anyhow you guys were awful cool in talking him out of there and recovering the vehicle.Nice to see people actively taking steps to keep trails open.

  • Sounds like someone needs to invest in some WD-40

  • How does somebody this stupid get enough money to buy a car in the first place?

Good of you to get it out of there for him.

  • haha that guy is awesome, he obviously wasnt going nearly fast enough to clear the rocks.... he should get another one and try again, and maybe watch some dakar first

  • I really felt for the car.

  • was the car painted like that befor the accident cos it looks like to me the guy didnt give a damn about his car

  • is this retard in REVERSE ????

  • @Spenglanje he was not in reverse, and even if he was, the wheels wouldn't spin backwards without the engine on. because the car has an open differential, when one of the back wheels spins forwards, the other one will spin backwards if it is off the ground. this does not cause much problem, as it will be made to spin forward when it has contact with the ground.

  • @AdamMedd Bigotry? we can't take that trophy off you.

  • Hahahahahahaha.. the spray paint makes it a rally car..

  • why is this such a big deal?

  • Nice jeeps

  • because the spotter might is usually in the front and "left/right" might be confusing in the heat of action... "who's left? driver or spotter's left?!?!"

  • @cardboardorigami It is explained in the video;)

  • "Off Road"... Holy shit that must be embarrassing for that idiot!

  • no respect for nothing dumn driver, firing squad for you my friend....

  • Well thanks for showing we are responsible people that help keep the land clean instead of trashing it.

    It shows big.

  • As a mountain biker, thank you guys for helping keep the trails and roads clean and in good shape for everyone's enjoyment.

  • What a tool!

  • Mt. St. Helens was a real tough off road course.

  • Wow! Anybody who off-roads is bound to get in a bind now and then but this guy should be banned from driving all together. Even in a Jeep you don't go blazing down a trail/road like that. Good of your group to rid the trail of that eyesore. At least his "wing" was not damaged so he can salvage it for his next project..........

  • Poor car

  • hahahahaha

  • Why didn't he stop and figure out a way to turn around before he made it to this point... I mean its not like he couldn't see all the damn rocks...

  • my son and I drove my Mitsubishi Mirage down a similar road in Michigan near Mandan in the UP....learned at the other end that it was a snowmobile trail :)

  • What a damn shame. The wing on the back speaks volumes.

  • Looks like Mr. Subaru bit off more than he could chew. But it was nice of you guys to help him out and keep the forest clean.

  • 1:59 - What on Earth was he on about? He was no help whatsoever, infact, he made it worse.

  • Great preparation for 24hr of lemons!

  • ya know it might have rolled better if u dident drag it while it was in reverse.

  • @sirtokesalot47 Thats from the differential not the car being in reverse...

  • @sirtokesalot47 There was no way being in reverse could have spun the wheels backwards since the car was not running. It had no oil and could not run.

  • @DHCross1 well i can tell u it wasent in nutral the engine does not need to run for the transmission to effect the tires. if its in a gear one wheel will look locked and the other will spin a random direction so if it wasent in reverse than you had it in a forward gear.

  • What an idiot. Way to trash the environment, and a nice car.

  • @dedicateddad "country"??

    DAMN YOU SWYPE!

PAINT -AS IN "ONE LOOK AT THE PAINT/FIN AND..."

  • Looks like four monkeys trying to fuck a football!

  • Its funny because he has "OFF ROAD" spray painted on the back.

  • What an idiot

  • HELL YEAH FOOLS THIS PAINT JOB BE BANGIN'. IMA DO UP MY RIDE LIKE DIS HERE FO SHO

  • Comment removed

  • @420Honey No, the car wasn't in reverse, it was clutched. The 4 wheel drive Subaru have a center differential. When you clutch the car then no power from the engine will reach the differential and the differential itself will make the wheels spin in opposite directions. The front goes forward and the rear goes backward. Watch it again. I'm not contesting the fact that he's a bad driver, I just find it funny that you made a smartass remark despite having no clue to what you're talking about.

  • Ricer invasion! I bet he was trying to show the jeeps who's boss yo... That wing must have really helped keep the mad tyte power to the wheels yo!

  • pressing the clutch is the same as putting it in neutral... its not going to slow the car down in any way. consider yourselves lucky the subaru didn't start to roll

  • Comment removed

  • Bye bye center diff.

  • @evilxdeadly No, but once it was off the Forest Service Road, we pushed/rolled it to the highway where it was "parked".

  • see what happens when you smoke doobies whilst driving scoobies, treasure your trails guy's because here in the uk the fruit n nuts are closing loads of our greenlanes because of thing's like this, i'll bet you have them too and it's difficult to fight them with things like this,,,,

  • 4wd Subaru obviously has a centre diff, as the "driver" said he was trying to slow down with the clutch. The engine is stationary so the front wheels ( with more traction ) go forwards, rear wheels ( with f-all weight on them ) go backwards........

  • hahahahah idiot!!

  • So he gutted this Subaru, hand spray-painted "WRCsubie" on the side and of course, the necessary rear wing... Why did you help him?!

  • @PorschephileRS Because if we didn't, people would continue to strip and trash the Subaru. Then it would be very difficult to remove. If we didn't remove it, it would just be trash in the forest. 4-wheelers enjoy a clean and openly accessibly forest and that wouldn't be the case if stuff like this was left around all the time.

  • @ArloGuthroJeep I fully understand. I was actually joking in the first place. I am a Colorado native, own a lifted Jeep WK and frequent these trails. I wouldn't mind the abandoned suba-trash because it would be something to run over and something enjoy a little destruction time with, haha. But I do understand the principle of trash being left in the forest due to pure stupidity. The fact that you helped this moron shows how much you care about our trails. So thank you for your diligence!

  • @ArloGuthroJeep P.S. My WK is black/black with BFG's and a giant pine tree sticker on the right rear window. If you see me, let me know! We can chat more about this mess, haha.

  • why didnt you just take it out the road it came in on instead of draggin it down the boulders .

  • @flatonthefloor89 Read the description, it explains why.

  • they should have stolen that stupid rearwing and rear lights also!!

Way to fuck up good Subie

  • I take that all back! This is dude sucks at life! Anyone with half a brain would not take a subie down a road like this... Way to destroy a good trail.

  • That is for sure unfortunate. I don't think I would have left it out there. Time to start over on another build.

  • hey alex, if you see this, thanks for leaving your piece of shit by the highway where i have to look at it everyday now, with the fucking bumper hanging off of it.

people like you are the reason trails get shut down.

  • It pained me to watch this.

  • A fool and his money are soon parted.

  • oh my god..

  • Another vintage GC8 Impreza destroyed by a stupid child.

And that was before it went into the rocks.

  • @WunderDoob he's 27 ha ha ha ha ha ha lol he really is.

  • Yes, I did mean open - sorry about that. :-] At the very least, this dude could have given his L a bit of a lift, with OEM Forester springs. It's popular with rallycross amateurs, as it's inexpensive! Would have helped clear the small stuff, but as for the rest.....well, he's clearly beyond help. ;-]

  • wtf was he driving in reverse while being pulled forward???

  • @menofat1 if you got to the end, they talk about that. It's the limited slip differential.

  • Ladies And Gentlemen! i give you the new Subaru commerical!

  • what an idiot

  • I want to see video of the car going over the stream section with the logs just down the hill from where this one stops!

  • Should have adjusted his vortex generator, would have been easy to get his car down the hill....too much downforce on the rear wing-a-ding (sarcasm....yes)

  • oh, wait. youre the fuckwad that left that car out there? glad you went and got it. still doesnt change the fact that you should never reproduce

  • Looks like a fun time. Car is junk anyway

  • guess that's why you need a JEEP

  • Holy crap, that guy in the car didn't seem to have ANY idea on what he was doing. Of course, if that was the owner of the car, the fact he was in that situation already shows he's an idiot with terrible judgement.

lol I feel bad for the car.

  • "PLEASE READ THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION" its right there at the beginning of the video for 7 seconds. do it, people. reading isn't gonna kill you. its obvious some people aren't, and are making really stupid comments.

  • How did he get a license to drive!!??

  • now thake that subaru and park it into the container

  • this pretty much sums up americans

  • @bobba84 What? Working together to calmly fix the mistake of someone else? Yeah, that's about right.

  • @Prometheusmfd lol, being calm while ignorantly fucking something up. yep.

  • Dumbass !!

  • only 10 more miles to go...

  • moron gets what he deserves. I like subarus but after the "mods" done by the owner I am glad to see it destroyed.

  • I really wish someone would splice in the "Three Stooges" fade out at the end of this.

  • I feel no pity for the owner. For spray painting his car like that and putting that rice crap on it I only feel sorry for the car.

  • "Sterilize the misfits promptly; all not fit to breed." Joseph DeJarnette

  • herp derp.

  • duh

  • Why did he have to be in a subaru? they're epic cars but NOOOO

  • @drumboarder1 If they are so "epic" than why did he fail?

  • @isaaca380 ...really? "That guy was holding money when he died. if money's so good, how come he died?!"

  • AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

  • dear tonnere,

     Thank you for the lulz

  • The wing and the ricer taillights = Nice touch vandals/thieves

  • Well... that was four minutes and forty seven seconds of absolute failure.

  • As a former GC owner, I have no words. Deeply saddened by this kids stupidity.

  • i like how he fucked it up this bad, he still tried to tell the 4x4 club how to drive trails properly. even if he was right saying to use clutch over brakes (doubtful, but dependent on the condition of his brakes)... that isn't the time to be talking back lol.

in his defense... the reverse light never came on. it could be that the trans was so fucked it slipped into reverse? i doubt it was the open diff because of the load on the backward spinning wheel, as people have pointed out.

  • @isays I dont think the guy in the subaru is the actual driver. I think he is a member of the recovery crew helping get the car out of the trails.

  • @Wolfren1000 the video seems to be pretty harsh on the driver, mocking him for running into the rock again... i guess they could have changed drivers at that point, though.

it really does seem like the car is in reverse, though, and not just spinning because of the diff.

  • @Wolfren1000

That is the owner driving the entire time.

  • GENIUS

  • gc8 haha

  • Ricers.

  • anyway is a junk car !!!

  • This is the same guy that abandoned the car in the middle of the national forest after deciding he could tear through trails without a worry in the world. You can see the video on MrMischiefVIP channel. Be sure to read the description.

People like him get trails shut down.

  • Typical Subaru driver. Surprised he didn't have a bunch of Monster stickers on it too. Shame the drivers and culture around the Subaru ruined how good the car is.

  • @devgchr9000 lol how did the drivers and culture around Subaru ruin what the car is?

  • So wrong.

  • Wow. And we mock the West Virginians.

  • So basically, none one in the vid knows how a differential works. LOL. That one guy who chimed in with "it's because of the limited-slip" was the only one who knew that it was the diff but judging by the fact that the wheels were spinning backwards, I'd be willing to bet that this car had open diffs at both ends as opposed to functioning LSDs.

  • @bruddahmanmatt

What the video doesn't show is that at times both rear wheels would spin backwards at the same time.

  • @ArloGuthroJeep Yeah, thats because he had it in gear. The front tires have more weight than the rear, so they would spin forwards, but the rears would have to spin backwards unless he put it in neutral, which he wasn't as he said at the end. So what we saw was the center differential doing its thing.

  • @ArloGuthroJeep that would be impossible unless the subaru engine was running right?

  • There are only two situations an open differential wheel will spin backwards. When there's no load on it, IE the wheel is airborne, the car is in neutral and moving forward. Or if the car is in reverse. If he was in a forward gear the wheel with the least resistance will spin forward. You can clearly see him digging trenches so there's definitely too much load to spin backwards, so the car has to be in reverse. I'm certain if the 4x4 club says this clown was in reverse he was.

  • @bruddahmanmatt you said LSD ... *giggles*

  • @bruddahmanmatt - I would bet this is an Impreza L or Brighton, both of which actually had no diffs. The 2.5RS had a rear-only LSD, but the base models (L/Brighton) had none. Further evidence is that there's a tan dashboard in this car - all 2.5RS models had black interiors.

  • @Siper2 It's definitely an "L" based on what folks were saying on the forums where this guy posted. I think you mean "open diffs" as opposed to "no diffs". You still need a differential at the drive wheels but your comment on the specs of the L vs. the 2.5RS pretty much confirms what I was thinking, that this car had open diffs at both ends which makes it even more hilarious that this clown took it up a trail like this. LOL

  • thats one tough Subaru!!

  • hahahaha. Only in Colorado... next time get a real off-roader.

  • as a colorado native, offroading enthusiast, rallying enthusiast (i am not a ken block fan), jeep owner AND subaru owner......i can say with confidence that you sir are one of the stupidest drivers in the world. you give all of the above a bad name.

  • It looks like he was getting too much downforce from that rear wing

  • @Greenagain

QUALITY commend, dude. QUALITY. I definitely laughed at that one!

  • dat spoiler. :unamused:

  • I don't have any words to tell of the level of stupid this involves.

PLEASE DON'T HAVE ANY KIDS EVER!

  • @ceraldi

Kids arent' the problem, kids that are raised to be idiots are the problem.

  • GIVER HELL!

  • The guy walking next to the car is retarded .. First he suggest to put the car in first gear ..... That will not do anything but lock the wheels up .. Then as he sees the back wheels are turning he says " its in reverse" .. What is it with this guy ?

  • No driver's seat? WTF is wrong with this person?

    Seriously, seek professional help. Stat.

  • @MamoDad The seats were stripped as was the radio

  • these nimrods are not good at this

  • Call in Air support ! lol

  • "So its better to use the clutch, because the clutch will stop all the wheels"

So what is it gonna take to stop you from ever driving again?

  • Remind me again why we're still using the wheel .

  • I found that car the day after it happened!

  • It's great to see a club taking care of their trail network. And this is why I laugh my ass off at Subie driver who claim to go "off road."

  • he should never touch a vehicle again, and move to the city. thats disgraceful

  • That's good Sushi!

  • Why the hell would you do that to a car.....(paint job) dumbarse.

  • jeez! that poor subie its hurts me badly to watch this but i guess it kinda had to be done.. what did u end up doing with it was it used again and fixed or sent to the junk yard?

  • To understand why some wheels were spinning backwards, go educate yourself on differential gears.

  • very very nice camera

  • Poor subie

  • ahahhahahahahahha

  • And the idiot award goes to...

  • Comment removed

  • thats just terrible, im sorry. the spotters are so optimistic lol "youre alright, youre doing greaT" zomg
