  • Donna Murphy not only sings this song but makes but lives and feels every note. Donna makes you feel like your heart will break with hers. This is not even a pale reflection. Look at the Donna Murphy version and see how it should be done.

  • Why the fuck does this video have so many dislikes?!

  • This is why I LEV, You are why I LEV

  • Her voice is flat.

  • Found it rather boring. Beautiful voice (she's showing that she can do more than shout like she did in "Evita") but dull performance. She should also improve her accent.

  • @santoloquasto I agree... I'm from Argentina like her, and i'm having a hard time believing the success that she has had and she seems to not care about improving her English! I'm a singer too, and i'm always demanding myself to pronounce correctly when i sing in other languagues...

  • The accent is very distracting and I find her delivery a bit dull and flat.

  • It is so funny...all the Fosca's I have ever seen are gorgeous in real life...

  • She looks (and kinda sounds) like a cross between Barbra Streisand and Donna Murphy. Beautiful performance. It (the song) doesn't have the same depth of character conflict that I feel a lot of Sondheim seems to have, which I realised in this monotone, but not uneventful, delivery of the song. Her eyes are magical. I view Passion as a thoughtful, but fundamentally satirical work. Again though, beautifully done. Would love to see her sing more.

  • @autopolydidact I don't find Passion satirical like some of Sondheim's other works. It's one of the most sincere.

  • @MUSICALANGIE I wrote that comment before I had the chance to view the piece. I'm a lot more involved with it now, and yes, I don't think I'd use satirical to describe it any more. I always found Fosca's idea of love to be a little surreal, but now I realise the place that has in the story. It's nonetheless all very sincere, yes.

  • Beautiful! Loved her in Evita, wish I could've seen her in this!

  • Grande Elena!!

  • OJASOS

  • Thank you :)
