  • Great Video!

  • I do like it, but I don't need to be told over the camera the numbers. Thats what gets me. Good vid otherwise

  • i counted 5 tone

  • Yea, a 5-tonne horn, then a low tonne about 10 seconds later....

  • oh yes i miss counted

  • 7 tone actually

  • Definatly 6 Adrian....

  • =[ i was only trying to fit it and make myself cool =[

  • Awesome mate!!!! wish 390's were always gettin dragged lol

  • I wish! I could do that with a model.... cut the panel open on a dummy vehicle, and put an nem coupling in, where the 57 one just couples up to that..... shame no body does them.

  • Now thats what I call proper haulage, a 57 hauling a Pendolino is rare nowadays, there is only one diagram for a 57 + a pendolino to Holyhead. Engineering diversions are the only chance you'll get to see a Virgin Thunderbird hauling a Pendolino. Great video btw :)

  • Cheers matey! Yea, I love the pendo drags.

  • nice

  • Cheers

  • Nice video, thought they only ran SuperVoyagers to Holyhead now? last time I was at Llandudno Jct, it was a 5+5 set to my dissapointment, where I was expecting some 57 haulage to Colwyn Bay. managed to cab the voyager though :-)

    cheers

  • Cheers matey! Well, yes and no. Thru-out the week, the Virgin services are done by Super Voyagers. But on Saturdays every week, Virgin do a Pendo drag (It arrives into Holyhead at around 12.56, and departs 14.36) and is the only service in the whole 7 day week that does the pendo service. Its well worth seeing it if you can.

  • I've got plans to do an North Wales rover again next year so will pop along to Llandudno Jct again to see that one for sure :-)

I do my rovers to a timetable so will work the pendo into it somehow.

I did see a Pendo drag the previous year but I didn't have my video camera with me as I forgot to take it. get all that way and realising you forgot the "tool" you need lol

Does that Arriva loco hauled set run on saturdays?

    cheers

  • Well, when you do, email me, and we can meet up somewhere, maybe at LLJ to see the drag?

I would love to do a rover somewhere in the midlands, but aren't old enough, nor the time to do it.

Arriva only do their WAG services on weekdays, unlike the drags. But the loco and carriages are stabled at Holyhead sidings over the weekend. They are easy to see from the station.
