  • These clothes are EPIC! I love them so much! <3

  • The models are really skinny and they look miserable. This is not what YSL would've wanted. smh

  • @strawberriesncandii people need to get over the fact that models tend to be very skinny, and tell yourself what you want but designers love skinny models because the clothes hang how they should on them. Do you really think they couldn't take the seams in if they thought it looked bad? No, this is exactly what its suppose to look like lol

  • @jessica37371 I understand they want skinny models but there's a fine line between skinny and seeing bones pop out of a girl's skin. And I stand by what I said before. Yves Saint Laurent's models were more diverse than the models that walk in today's fashion show. I get that models need to be skinny but when you can see their rib cages and hip bones pop out of clothing while they walk down the runway then that wouldn't look too nice now would it?

  • @strawberriesncandii I didn't see any rib cages or hip bones lol??? I'm wondering how you saw them through the clothes but w/e haha

  • @jessica37371 In general these models have their bones popping out and it's okay.

  • OMG no credit given to the Brazilian Amazon Indians?

  • these girls are way to skinny. The outfits appear so baggy because theres nothing to fill it with.

  • @SlamTheLabel I know. SMH

  • one of my favorite collections

  • Wonderful

And I love the hairstyles and lipstick shade!

  • i would wear outfit #2 and #6 & #7, I LOVE THEM!!!!

  • what the hell is wrong with their faces

  • Très elegant

  • what a silly irrelevant wank this entire business is.

  • Ah how sadly uninformed and uneducated you are about fashion and the fashion industry. Try learning about it before making ignorant statements about it.

  • mummy, I want YSL for my birthdday

  • LCD Soundsystem - "Someone Great"

  • ...+magnificient+...

  • what 's the name of the music ?

  • Kind of seen this before. It's strange how other people are designing under his label and they are so off the mark as to what YSL stands for.

  • absolutely agree, if not for the title ysl I wouldn't associate this video with anything yves, looks more like a claude montana revival without the shoulder pads...

  • This collection seems 70s inspired. Pierre Cardin did similar work in the 60s and 70s.

  • how can they see thru th hair

  • i'm speechless.

  • yes!! yves saint laurent lives on!! -hope he went straight to heaven(=

    we luv u <3

  • im doing a project on YSL so if anybody has any more good clips of any of his shows please let me kno.....thanks!

  • Laurent seems to be a little cocky about being the "last couturier"...I love a designer with an ego!

  • You know? I find it amusing that ANTM has not had a YSL fashion show yet. Maybe Paris is too big for it?

  • wow I'm a guy but these outfits are really good. they look very creative and futuristic. xD

  • oh, and even though they're creative, they're also WEARABLE (if you're a girl). It's like seeing the fashion of the future - the 2010s or 2020s - today.

  • WHATS THE SONG CALLED

  • Someone Great by LCD Soundsystem

  • I love the references - Russian peasant (1:13 - 1:23), Zulu (accessories), millenarianism (the cut of some of the jackets), Poroit (Natasha Poly's look, the white jacket in the 'lampshade' shape), and Krezia in the 1980's (:52). All those references, and yet this collection is completely coherent and modern. I love Stefano - his designs are becoming more complex and yet never complicated. I can't wait to see what this spring has in store!

  • There's also an area of Thailand where women wear similar neck elongating jewlery, I don't mean to make generalizations about African culture. Apologies if I made a mistake (one's culture is a very important thing!). The Maori women of New Zealand consider black lips a panicle of beauty. This collection is so deceptively dense. It would take months to understand the layers of reference here. Stefano's designs can be peeled like an onion... The layers are seemingly never ending!

  • stunning

  • omg, I LOVE 1:12

  • THIS IS SO GOOD!

  • dude, marc jacobs copied all of this!

  • probably, hahaha

  • like seriously! if you see the LV from the same season, the pants are unconfortably similar! at first i thought the LV clothes seemed a little Indiana Jones but then i saw the pants and kept thinking i was watching YSL!

  • 1:18 is amazing :O

  • i went to the Saint Laurent's exposition LOVE,in Montreal,, it was magical (:<3

  • I love YSL <3

    He is a amazing <3

  • I like the outfits but what's with the hair and makeup

  • I know! But I think it was meant to complement the fierce-ness of the clothes. I guess it was just for the runway haha.

  • rip yves st laurent.

he was such a great designer.

    i will never forget him

  • on dirait des clones !

  • r.i.p yve st.lauraint

  • This is a weak collection. There is not a trace of the master himself. This collection will not make fashion history, sad to say, but its true.

  • was that yves saint lauren in the end of the finale?

  • No, he's Stefano Pilati. Yves retired in 2002 and died this June.

  • La muerte no nos roba los seres amados. Al contrario, nos los guarda y nos los inmortaliza en el recuerdo.

Descanse en paz Yves Saint Laurent

  • Rest in peace, Mr. St. Laurent.

I hope nothing but love, peace and beauty surround him now.

  • i thought this was one of the strongest and most forward collections shown within the Fall 08 calender.

There is a strange new silhouette emerging, one that has movement , but with extreme control. How the frilled collars were firm in leather and both in the fabric option in the blue jacket.

You can tell Pilati held back quite alot with adding new stories, but once again doing less , and reworking your patterns has really set a sense of ease to a otherwise generally overdone concept.

  • I've got the soundtrack for this show; message me if you'd like it.

  • I want this song very badly. I know it's LCD but do you have this version of the song without vocals?

  • LCD rocks - YSL does too

  • magnificent =)

the design is just magnificent =)

  • so refreshing , i aways had an affinity for the futuristic look the theme of the show was "at ease futurism" this name fits perfectly and the sun glasses are so slick the hair is nice to.

  • I wonder wonder what Mr. St Laurent thinks about Pilati's work? I know he hated Tom Ford, but Pilati seems to be closer to the DNA of the brand. He shows respect for women, giving them things to be taken seriously in. The clothes are seductive to women, and highlight their best features. That was what St. Laurent always did, so that considered, I wonder if he more approves of Pilati? I think Pilati is fantastic, and could become a great. It's nice to see him do well!

  • 1:18

    gorgeous dress

    gorgeous walk!

  • 1:18

    gorgeous dress

    gorgeous walk!

  • They were all right. I liked a few of the items. The ways the models walked and the cloves, the wigs, the sunglasses. It made me think of robots. Maybe that was the point.

  • What is up with the models' walking styles?

The way they walk doesn't go with the clothes at all!

  • Haha. What's up with the wigs and sunglasses? Ooh! 0:47 and 0:59 are quite gorgeous, even though normal. And the shoes are just......XD

  • LOVED NATASHAS COMMENT!!! T_T

  • this is cool stuff, kinda spy-ish. cool and interesting

  • Old Yves can make such refreshing clothes.

  • chic. glamourous....

  • i love tom ford and all of ysl. i like the clean edgy cuts against the pure deep dark colors. the black wigs were a nice concept to show the same women in different ways.

  • Agreed.Hi Fashion is turnin in2 Dumb Fashion these days

  • I wouldnt wear n e of them

    Xcept 4 one dress. 1.18

  • you can't wear any pieces from a Fashion Show. From the name itself, "Fashion Show", it's just a show wherein the designer showcases the upcoming trends in the textures, patterns, colors etc for the season.. In case you're a model, you can wear one of those clothes..

  • Of course you can wear the pieces from a fashion show. The only difference between those that you see in the runway and the ones that will be sold in a store are the sizes (runway clothes are smaller).

  • actually it depends on the designer. some pieces are more of show pieces compared to some that are ready to wear. take victor and rolf for instance in fall 2008 no one will wear a jacket that has DREAM poking out of it but maybe some of the pants will be in stores ready to wear

think before u make a statement, itll do u good

  • maybe if you actually KNEW real fashion you wouldnt be posting such a ridiculous comment.

  • these clothes make me wish i were 7 feet tall and 3 pounds

  • I love the leather jacket in 1:09 and the dress in 1:17

  • nice show!!

  • Simply beautiful gothic punk for the 9-5 have to be.

  • adult goth or what possilbly sci fi costums?

  • Well done Stefano Pilati, great show. Very YSL

  • hahaha be serious!

    ysl owns!
