thank you so much for posting this. I just viewed it and I am touched. I am struggling with 100 lbs and am 39. I want to let you know that I don't feel so alone anymore. Thank you for your honesty and courage. The videos you do when you are "doing well" will help people, but when you are doing poorly--you help people too. I wish you all the best. It's so comforting to know you are there:)

There are many people who really WANT to lose weight. but or me. i want to gain. Because having a high Metabolism aint a joke. Im still skinny no matter eating 5-7 meals a day. And i would also love to have fat cheeks. Seriously. Everyone should be happy with what they are.
If there is any kind soul out there. Is there a way to gain fat cheeks and WEIGHT !
I feel your pain....lost 70 lbs. in 2007, gained it back in 2008 after the holidays...it went downhill from there. I can do well with diff. programs also, it's keeping the momentum going that is difficult. I find that when I obsess I do well, but who can keep that going long-term?? How to find the middle ground and STILL have success???
Your beautiful externally/internally, dont ever stop trying if theres a will theres a way!!!
just a piece of advice, from personal experience. inorder to susceed in losing weight keeping it off, staying healthy, everyday reinforce your THOUGHTS-EVERYDAY your desire to live your dream. By all means if you have to stick labels every where in your house to remind and reinforce!!!!
Going raw a little over two years ago got the ball rolling in the right direction for me as far as how I thought about food and how much of it I needed to fill me up. Over the years of overeating, I became so good at ignoring my body's full signals that I stopped being able to recognize them, and going raw got me back in touch with them. I didn't stay raw, but that experience did help me a lot. What finally helped me gain control was O.A.
I was there. I used to feel as though food was controlling me and I never thought the cycle would end. My unhealthy relationship with food started at an early age but was at its worst my first year of college. I gained about 80 lbs in a year and a half (my highest weight was 230).
@FM897 I have lost A LOT of weight and am in the process of trying to lose the last 40 lbs right now. Believe me, it is possible. I would never be so presumptuous and disrespectful as to say I completely understand your situation, as we are two different people. Just know that there are so many people out there that want to see you succeed and know that you can do it. NEVER give up!!
By any chance do you have a candida problem? That can cause horrible food cravings. I know from experience. Eating lots of fermented vegetables and kefir will help to heal your gut. This could be the cause of your Fibro maybe.
I feel your pain, when I got married 12 years ago I weighed 145 lbs. I gained 15 lbs in no time. Over the course of those 12 years I have went up and down always telling myself that I will not gain it back and here I sit loosing it once again, I am hoping that this will be the last time, I got the book the Gabriel Method that you suggested and for me it has helped. I became vegetarian in April of this year and I am loving it. I know how it is to feed a family on a limited budget and remain
Christina, I've been watching your channel since 2006 and i believe that you can lose all the weight you want. Just remember to be happy and love yourself.
You made this video because you are a phenomenal woman. From Day 1, you have inspired and amazed me. I'm at my largest weight, too. I'm also in the worst health I've ever been in.
I gave up a while back, obviously...but to see someone as great as you are slip and fall and then still try to figure it all out, inspires me to get up off my butt and try again. At any weight, you rock. I thank God for you. Love you much!!
I worked so hard at the gym and ate so well. Went from 70 kilos to 53 kilos.. Then I went to a Mexico resort and other places for 5 months.. I was already at 58 before the trip and after the trip I was 65 and slowly went upto 69 :( SO PAINFUL I so get you!! But we have to get up and redo it again.. Also for my health!! Let's do it!!! I also read Geneen Roth... Now I am 64 kilos slowly and surely. Will be watching your vids more often.
I'm 359 pounds. My mother poured diety pills into me since I was a kid, and destroyed my heart. Starved me, everything just so I can lose weight, and my metabolism is ruined. My highest weight, was about 380. I've been losing it steadily. I want to give up sometimes because of how hard it is. But There's alays someone heavier than you, or lless healthy. Let's both be happy to be alive and use the fact that we have functioning bodies (no matter how poorly) to achieve what we need, with no shame.
You were the one who referred me to The Gabriel Method, and I cannot thank you enough! I've been working it for a few weeks now, and it's the most reasonable way to lose weight that I've ever come across. Maybe you could re-visit it. Thanks for the video. I know you'll lose the weight when you're able to get back into the groove.
I'm at 275. I somehow managed to gain 60 lbs in less than a year. You have so much discipline to even have done raw for as long as you did, and eating as well as you have. I think with any lifestyle, or diet, once you start eating off of it, you get used to the taste of those things and its soooooo hard to get back on track. don't lose the faith! I wish I could post videos again but I'm so afraid of someone I know finding them. Love you. Huge hugs! -cat
Ya, it can be expensive to eat raw but that's if you're buying all the gourmet vegan products. Maybe if you shop at a farmers market you would have better luck! You were so inspiring to me when you were Raw. Hate to see you so sad and depressed:( Things will get better!!
ey! Same thing happened to me whan I got married, after the honeymoon I was weighing 20 more pounds! and thought that i could lose weight when I came back... well I coudn´t.. I even gain another 20 pounds! until last month that I`ve started going to a ssuport group where we deal not only with that kind of issues but also with emotional stuff... we talk about addictio to food, but also about the action of eating and why.
I love you for being so open--it removes the shame of being overweight. Think about that.. it really is the truth. PCOS is a drag (I have it, too) but I'm not sure which comes first (PCOS = here comes da weight or excess weight leads to PCOS.. docs don't even truly know). Sweetie, never give up. I am 51 and 428 and I'm scared as heck.. you're only 35.. give it strong go. Find a sensible eating program where you can moderately eat all things.. and find an exercise you enjoy. xx from Julie
You're still quantifying yourself as "being good" and "eating whatever I want." That's part of the problem. And trust me, I know it's a lot of work. It is a process. It took me two years of working out my dysfunctional relationship with food to get to the place I am now where I eat out of hunger and deal with emotions and feelings completely separate from food. It is so ingrained into us, using food for reasons other than hunger, it's not going to happen overnight. Hang in there, hon.
I don't think in order to lose weight one needs to try extraordinary stuff... eat healthy (no packed snacks/food/microwaved artificial stuff), control the proportions, and exercise (kick boxing is the best, since you get out all the anger and is a fast calorie burning work out), and do yoga afterwards for personal strength and spiritual satisfaction. I know it's hard, but all of you out there who want to lose weight need to make this a lifestyle. It's always a work in progress. =] <3
Hey girl I think I sent you a video...I tried to do a video response and keep it private but I am not sure how to make that work. Let me know if you didn't get the video...Love!!! <3

@fastinggurl31 Please try the book/dvd by Paul Mckenna called "I can make you thin". Its all about healing yourself psychologically in relation to how you see food by applying 4 simple steps which would allow you to "Eat to Live". Diets are miserable and will always be miserable... you just need to eat what your body wants and not what you think is good for you... That way you can keep it off for life. Wish you all the best hun. xx
first off, you look very beautiful :) secondly, your forcing yourself to that kinda diet did all of this in my very very humble opinion. you should really take things way more easily and realize you need proper food and you need to sometimes make exceptions. when my mom went on a diet the dietician told her you can have pizza once a week but if you have it, thats gonna be your entire meal. usual lunch, then pizza and a fruit for dinner. dont ever put urself thru all that restraining ever again!
Please know that you are an inspiration, even now. I suggest that you stop focusing on and releasing words that limit you. I know you have been diagnosed with certain things but they don't have to limit you. Stop spreading yourself thin. Make yourself a priority. Sometimes you need to stop reading, looking, examining, writing, experimenting...etc. and just pray for guidance from your Creator. I would start there.
It is so easy to slip up; I know what it's like. Hats off to you for admitting it to the world. The flesh is weak but don't give up! You're an inspiration
I completely understand. I am always losing and gaining, sticking to my diet and then falling off the wagon, etc etc. The only thing that has worked for me is the Master Cleanse. I did the Master Cleanse twice and lost around 25 pounds and I kept it off for a very long time. After doing the detox, I didn't want to mess up my clean/pure feeling so I became a vegetarian and haven't eaten meat in 3 years. I'm thinking about doing the Master Cleanse again; we should do it together on youtube.
u are not a failure....as long as you are trying you are not a failure...as for peeps that call you fat,,,say thank you to them and smile big =)....i am 36 and a half and have lots of health problems and had weightloss surgery and panni surgery....i am still overweight...god made us all different for a reason...=) hugs
I cant believe that guy called you fat, he is lucky its illegal to run some body down with a car! But anyway its funny how you say you eat pasta because i have notice a lot of cysters(women w/ PCOS) do not eat pasta(who are trying to loose weight) or DAIRY. I have PCOS too and i eat both lol and i also continue to gain weight. I know what to do but i just do not apply it. Its so hard to change, but we just have to keep pushing threw!
You are not fraud. This isn't something you did ( gaining weight ) with purpose. It happens. People who are struggling with weight are fed up with diets and everything they CAN'T eat. I think you should relax a bit ( emotionally ), quit putting pressure over yourself. You are smart women, figure it out without torturing yourself. My friend who was diagnosed with PCOS 5 years ago, got doctor's diet ( which didn't make sense to me at all ), after 6 months her ovaries are clear, weight is off.
sweetie I feel you I am the same way! I use to be thin and gained a shit load of weight and it's been so hard to contain myself with food. I just been counting calories and it's still hard but its working .. slowly but surly, Food to me is like a drug and I hate to say that but it really can be. I am always fighting with the fridge. It took me weeks and months and a year to finally start counting calories again. Once I binge it's the HARDEST for me to get back on track cause I keep giving in.
@nightgangl7 you can do it! we all can do it! we have done it before we can do it again and i have no money either im just counting calories right now. good luck hun
@RunRoseRun YES I use to go to OA after I got out of the Radar institute when I was recovering from Bulimia(@19). I was young & did not work the program like I should have. It is something to consider.
I am so sorry you had to deal with that loser @ walmart. I think that's the hardest part about carrying around any extra weight, unlike any other addiction that fact that you have unresolved issues is manifested in your body itself- for the whole darn world to see and even pick apart. =( many hugs to you. you are beautiful. stop beating yourself up for struggling. its useless. u know that. "sometimes courage is the small voice in the back of your head that says I will try again tomorrow."
@bollywould Thank you for your kind comment. The funny thing is I NEVER shop at Walmart. Maybe once a year for an emergency ( I am a target girl) and this year I fot into a altercation HA!
it must have been difficult for u to make this video...thats just a feeling and im proud of u christina... u had a beautiful wedding.. u were the perfect bride! and now u are still a stunning woman. We both have this great wish to lose weight its like a superior wish... we jus have to do it right coz we will be relentless and we wont find peace until we do.wishin u the best gurl!much luv kat
@fastinggurl31 right now i dont have the answer ready for u n even when i get to my goal i wont have the answer coz one thing i know for sure no matter wat happens with my weight i will always have an issue with food.. but i want to learn n deal well handle the issue as good as to live a normal happy life!much luv to you sweety
LOL, Bad Girl .... Bad Girl:) Good for you, an altercation in Walmart, never put up with cr*p from anyone.
I've noticed a lot of people spinning their wheels lately. I've been spinning too. We are not learning enough from our failures. I'm going to think on this.
theres the thing, 7pounds is HUGE amount of calories. I would be majorly surprised if you actually ate enough to gain 7 pounds in 2 days. Sounds like water bloat from a poor diet. Drink more water and watch salt maybe?
may i suggest NOT fasting anymore? that kills your metabolism and makes it SUPER easy to gain the weight back. when you fast/starve to lose weight you're never losing real weight. your body is just 'asleep' and waiting for the real food to come back.
just take baby steps and keep going in the right direction, brave girl.
I would be willing to personaly help you to set a plan of action to get you started. I am here to help in any way I can. Please think it over and let me know if you are interested. Take care and hope to hear from you soon...........Santiago
I understand what it's like when you have so much on your plate/mind and the easiest thing to do is eat the stress away. Unfortunately, as you know this only causes more stress and poor health. You can still turn this around, cause you have the strength within you to do it. You just have to make the choice to start eating the right foods again. I will be lunching a raw food muscle fitness challange in a few weeks and would love it if you would join up and take part. It will not cost anything
You are a goddess, no matter what you weigh. That's lesson number 1! Do what you can and accept it as a gift, that you are present in the moment, not in where you were, where you want to be. Just be who you are right now. You are not alone in this struggle by any means. Much love girl.
you look amazing for 35 years old...seriously I thought you were like 27.. I wish you the best of luck...you can do it! All things are possible give it time and track your progress.
I really COMMEND your honesty. A lot of people would not even have gotten on here and confessed what you did. I too struggle with my weight, so I totally understand where you are coming from and it is helpful for me and I'm sure others to see that other women are struggling with this weight thing too. I just want to tell you to NOT give up. I don't care if you fail every day, get up the next day and try again. Don't give up on yourself, tomorrow is a new day. You ARE an inspriration.
@w8ing2exhale Thank you. Being authentic real & honest is my number one priority on this channel. Ups or downs I will share it ALL with my subscribers.
Please. Stop beating yourself up. Remember. If there is no struggle, there is no progress. You will overcome. You just have to get your mind right and push through this. I believe in you.
Rather than considering the failure as all or nothing, remember what Thomas Edison said when creating the lightbulb? That he learned X number of ways not to make a lightbulb. Everything is a learning opportunity. It is a journey, and every positive choice is worthy of pride, no matter how small. BTW i am referring to life in general, not just weight loss. Cuz you are gorgeous inside and out.
@Lukychrm42 Thank you for reminding me of that Thomas Edison story....That is why I keep posting videos so when I do find the way that works for me I hope it will help others find their own way.
Maybe you should let go of trying to lose weight, and concentrate on ..just trying to live your highest self, bit by bit. That will be a source of inspiration.
So instead concentrate on putting good things into your life, and letting go of things you see/feel (not think) you should let go of. Sorry about all that pain and fatigue, I'm familiar with it. I know the way fatigue limits.
But even if you can't do raw, don't do pasta! Buy whole grains bulk. Use a rice cooker..
even though you said at the beginning I should turn off if I expected something happy, I kept watching because I want to support you and your so called "failing" is still very motivating for me because I feel like I have been failing this year too-having gained 19lbs since Feb10 and I think you could start a new plan with youtubers and it will help each person who is struggling. As much as I would want to continue eating sugary bad foods if we all help one another we might snap out of it :)
learn to forage... o_O it's exercise just getting out there to get it and it's free. and hrmm, i am glad that all i gained when i went off my raw food diet for a month and a half was 5 pounds... but then again i didn't go totally off my diet. I'm more or less back on it and i have lost 3ish pounds. yay me. =^-^= I know how it is to just feel like your out of control, but you need to make a commitment to at least staying within certain personally chosen boundaries and be honest with yourself.
you say you are addicted to how you use food... I heard tony robbins on cnn say the ONLY thing to cure an additction is a different addiction. become addicted to good health. I think you owe it to yourself to find an answer. I am 53, four years ago lost 160 + lbs kept it off, and I have fibro too and low thyroid. You can do it. How badly do you want it ? there is a way, its within you and up to you. make yourself come first, when you do you can give your best to others too.
@mshealthfirst I love Mr. Robbins too! I think a yoga & nesting addiction would be a good replacement. maybe even getting re addicted to my you-tube channel. I still have not taken this little channel to the level it deserves.
@mshealthfirst That is so true!!! It was so hard for me too. I'll always loose and regain. When I started eating every 2 hrs I have lost like 91lbs. Now I weight 176lbs, I try to eat healthy, but not always I just don't go over my limits. Good luck and keep it up...
i am having the same problem...i am fibro and chronic fatique and fat! but i will say that i feel down but not out . I am almost 34 and the weight is just like glue on me, it will not leave. so keep your head up girl...maybe we can start some kinda support for the pain and wieght loss challenged non pity party women...
@fruitfly31 I like your idea. I think SO many woman with chronic fatigue syndrome & fibromyalgia and PCOS ( another one of my ailments) have SUCH a hard time losing weight. It might be a good idea to make some videos specific to that. I know I have to be very particular in what I eat & do things like Yoga for exercise b/c I have to be careful not agitate my symptoms.
I am going through the exact same thing. :( And I also just found out I have an underactive thyroid which is probably why it's been so hard to lose weight lately.(And why more comes thundering back) So I'm planning to get on medication for that and move forward and try again. Just pick yourself up and try again, eventually you'll get there. :)
Hey there. It's hard to focus on weight loss and oneself and not become completely obsessed. And it really sucks because you get sucked into this vortex of information and obsession and then you feel like all you are is how many calories you eat or how much time you spend at the gym. It's awful, and honestly, it gets old! Sometimes we spin out of control and we just need to take one habit at a time and kick it. We live in the same area--if you feel like chatting more we should get together.
Sorry girl... big hug from me. Focus on your health first, many of the things that can impact your health are tied somewhat to your weight. It's not a loss at all, you tasted what it was like to be at a point that was more healthy for you and you can do it again when you're ready. Those habits are accessible, you don't have to be perfect just consistent.
I completely understand everything you're talking about. My weight doesn't fluctuate between more than 20 lbs, but it's the same cycle that I'm stuck in too!
you are pretty no matter wat cuz u seem like a nice person sooo yea it aint the healthest thing but u r very beautiful in the outside and the inside no matter wat sooo yea dont feel bad at all!!!!!

I've been following along for a few videos now, and I want to express my sadness with you.
Surrender. Do like Jon did, surrender to not dieting anymore and just let it go. Accept your weight as it is, let it go. Let the shame go.
Stay with one plan. Don't jump everywhere, stick with one and give it a chance.
Follow the method and the rest will take care of itself.
If you think you can't, then you're right.
But, if you think you can, then you're right.

FM897 1 year ago

Gosh girl you sound exactly like me...

Raw foods - the key. No processed foods, no grains. I lost 40 pounds in 4 months.

Find a sensible eating program where you can moderately eat all things.. and find an exercise you enjoy. xx from Julie
julieswahn 1 year ago

Wish you all the best hun. xx
capricon9178 1 year ago
first off, you look very beautiful :) secondly, your forcing yourself to that kinda diet did all of this in my very very humble opinion. you should really take things way more easily and realize you need proper food and you need to sometimes make exceptions. when my mom went on a diet the dietician told her you can have pizza once a week but if you have it, thats gonna be your entire meal. usual lunch, then pizza and a fruit for dinner. dont ever put urself thru all that restraining ever again!
TheCouchAxel 1 year ago
Please know that you are an inspiration, even now. I suggest that you stop focusing on and releasing words that limit you. I know you have been diagnosed with certain things but they don't have to limit you. Stop spreading yourself thin. Make yourself a priority. Sometimes you need to stop reading, looking, examining, writing, experimenting...etc. and just pray for guidance from your Creator. I would start there.

My friend who was diagnosed with PCOS 5 years ago, got doctor's diet ( which didn't make sense to me at all ), after 6 months her ovaries are clear, weight is off.

theres the thing, 7pounds is HUGE amount of calories. I would be majorly surprised if you actually ate enough to gain 7 pounds in 2 days. Sounds like water bloat from a poor diet. Drink more water and watch salt maybe?

you are so brave. keep the faith.
may i suggest NOT fasting anymore? that kills your metabolism and makes it SUPER easy to gain the weight back. when you fast/starve to lose weight you're never losing real weight. your body is just 'asleep' and waiting for the real food to come back.
just take baby steps and keep going in the right direction, brave girl.

Use a rice cooker..

you say you are addicted to how you use food... We live in the same area--if you feel like chatting more we should get together.
youwantgeekEncore 1 year ago
Sorry girl... big hug from me. Focus on your health first, many of the things that can impact your health are tied somewhat to your weight. It's not a loss at all, you tasted what it was like to be at a point that was more healthy for you and you can do it again when you're ready. Those habits are accessible, you don't have to be perfect just consistent.
