  • They look like middleweights

  • james braddock robed joe louis louis had to give him a part of the winnings from ever fight he had to get a title shot with braddock he made millions off him no one want to fight a black boxer back then

  • @jeremywells1977 I understand, your period key must be broken or else you would have split that up into at least 5 different sentences.

  • @sexypandasaur are you the spell checker for youtube you pompous ass hole get a life

  • @jeremywells1977 robed??????

  • @4615larkc i ment robbed sorry

  • jamroca. ur right brother.

  • Holyfield knocked the snot out of a prime Tyson and both men are not huge "modern heavyweights". Marciano and the men he defended his title against would have done a-ok if they had the use of modern training methods plus the use of modern nutrition. Both the MMA and boxing ,different sports, are about skill not just pure brawn

  • i think it's more dramatic than that movie. awesome!

  • totally fags!

  • Thums Up, If CINDRELLA MAN movie bought you here..

  • Cindarella man

  • Is it really true that when Braddock walked in the ring the whole croud stood up in silence?

  • awesome video, this is why i love boxing, gives me chills :)

  • @tohellandback

It is in infinte pixels because they r using film

  • Well I guess its too much to ask to get this in 1080p...

  • @XxToHellAndBackxX If they have stored the film properly they can easily get 1080p and beyond of this.

  • @casstbr Dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's an economic thing. When white folks came from the ghetto or poor neighborhoods boxing and other sports gave them a way to escape from those bad neighborhoods and poor backgrounds. Black folks work harder than white folks now who are spoiled. It's not a racial superiority thing. Harvard proved that humans are 99.8% genetically the same no matter what our skin color is. Boxing and sports are still their outlets. White folks are whiny suburbanites now.

  • Wow, brought to you by the Jew fuckers at coca cola

  • if you like this youll like cinderella man based on this

  • someone help me, how come they have such poor defence???? Is this like wanted in the USA so you can get more hits in and a more action oriented fight?

How come they dont protect their chins???

Seriously, I dont get it, thye didnt know that technique then or ???

  • @goodflo911 If your worried about a counter punch, youll put less power in your own punch. (Rocky Marciano quote) Some guys can take hits and know it so dont focuz as much on defense. Its individual style, thats some peoples technique.

  • @BluesBurner Idunno man, it just seems all wrong. First thing you learn over here is to hold the line and protect your glass chin. Just seems amateurish to me.

Not saying I'd love to fight one of these monsters haha, they would destroy me:P

  • @goodflo911 Well yeah thats the first thing i learned too was to protect your face and cover up etc. But some people just dont have a glass chin haha like these guys, Marciano, on and on. And i admit the way Baer is just standing there taking the hits is dumb, i replied before i saw just how bad his defense was. But obviously he could take hits and knew it. Idk maybe he had too many hits to the head and forgot he was supposed to cover up.

  • @BluesBurner Yeah it reminded me of that scene in raging bull where deniro taunts his black opponent by lowering his guard. Maybe it was that... or maybe they just fought differently (like pugilism origins)...

Or maybe they both were drunk haah, or fixedfight, who knows, maybe someone else knows why they act like that.

  • @goodflo911 defense????????

  • @4615larkc Hey, you come here and speak my language fluently when all you have is the grammar fault infested internet version of it, and then you can cry when someone makes an honest spelling mistake.

  • @goodflo911 i wasnt making fun i was trying to understand im bi polar & it takes a bit for me to read & re read........im sorry

  • @4615larkc 9/10, you nearly succeeded;)

  • Baer 81 inch reach damn!

  • THEEE BULL DOOOOG FROOMM IRELAANNNDDDD

  • @elitaren its bulldog of bergan, not ireland.

  • Man, old fight like these at the tip of my fingers, what a great day we live in ,thanks for the upload.

  • truely the most inspiring story ever, the soundtrack and the movies makes me emotional whenever i c it

  • RIP Cinderella man

  • The fact that he beat Griffin alone, after years of horrendous loss, was a miracle. Let alone Lewis, Lasky, and the champion Baer. I cannot help but see the hand of god playing a role in his astonishing comeback.

  • Great quality!

  • Anybody see "Cinderella man", one hella great movie to watch!!

  • @Shinobugskiller12345 was it..what a great movie..my partner and i were glued to the television..so inspiring...had a workout where i neglected to finish due to the movie...my partner, she wasn't speaking to me and boy did the movie seemingly resolved any such issues...so thanks "Cinderella man" and R.I.P

  • @JamRoca fantastic film but flawed, their portrayal of max baer as a remorseless killer is disgraceful, after the tragic incident when he killed campbell he lost the next 4 fights and had regular nightmares, it was wrong of them to portray him like they did but other than that a great film

  • @n17spurs I agree totally with this, I was schocked when I saw them portray baer this way

  • @n17spurs You forgot to mention how he donated a huge portion of his money to the families

  • @n17spurs what you said is so true. I knew a contemporary of his. Johnny Gonzalves from Oakland Ca a great fighter in the boxing HOF . Baer I think Originally from Livermore Ca. Any way he(John) told me that Max was a totally a good man and nothing like the movies portrayed him as. John had know reason to lie to me so I totally believe him. Hollywood showed him as a Hedonist sociopath that's inexcusable just to make a movie or a buck. He still has family alive the producers are evil

  • @n17spurs yeah but that was really the only thing all and all a great movie

  • @n17spurs they probly only did that to make him the villain of the movie :P

  • TheMattSteck dude max baer was a jew stupid hello gosh dont u pay attention

  • @bieberfever97ize You're kidding right? He was referring to that fact. He wore the Star of David when he fought in front of Hitler. Man, you Justin Bieber fans are stupid.

  • i just watched cinderella man i didnt even know til now it was a true story! braddock your a legend and inspiration!

  • /watch?v=OBDapiN-cHc

  • I think max started wearing the star after he fought in germany, a fight i think he won in germany in front of the fuer, there was also a rematch in yankee stadium i belive. I dont see why everyone is focusing On the star this is history you are watching

  • he actually looks like russell crowe

  • Amazing to see a fight from 1935, thanks!

  • James J Braddock Ftw And RIP

Like this comment if you agree :)

  • jewish fuck

  • what does religion have to do with anything?

  • Ya baer was actually a really nice guy and cried at the deathbed of the ppl he killed

  • The "Bulldog of Bergen" and the pride of jersey . .J J B

  • cinderella man

  • Ive heard max baer in real life wasnt like how he was portrayed in the movie at all, and was actually a kind hearted man, the men he killed was more because he was so strong and referees didnt stop fights as soon as they do today

  • Max Baer is the father of Max Baer Jr. (Jethro of TVs Beverly Hillbillies)

  • I know it may sound racial, but..... When do you think we will see another Jewish Heavyweight Champion of the World fighting an Irishman for the title again? LOL All I will say is, I won't hold my breath waiting for that one to happen any time soon. LOL

  • Brutal or not, quality boxing requires more skill than UFC. Let's face it UFC breaks down to a couple of guys grabbing, kicking & rolling around with each other on the floor. Boxing requires you to stay on your feet for 36 minutes only use your hands and keep to certain areas of the body. You put all your strength into your fists! Not rely on your legs, elbows, arms or basically your whole body. & you can't use the floor to 'back u up' as u slam the other guy down on it. It's just u & him

  • @greymomma You my friend, are an idiot. First of all, UFC is an organization, the fighting sport is called MMA. Second of all, what looks like rolling and hugging eachother around the floor, is actual incredibly intense grappling. There is no room for error. You can not win a ground fight if you are untrained, and unskilled. Stand up fighters can be consistently submitted incredibly quickly by any fighter with training in grappling. This is exactly what the gracie family has done.

  • @stardust005 There's only ONE way to fight - With your hands. NOTHING ELSE IS CONSIDERED FIGHTING. We consider anything other than fighting with your hands, bitch fighting. The term " use your hands, don't fight like a bitch" lives on with even MORE meaning now.

  • @bangitslo tell that to anyone with a serious intent to kick your ass on the street.

  • @greymomma Boxers are ten time better from standing, but the ground game takes a ton of skill. You would have to try wrestling to understand that. To say all your strength in boxing is put in your fists is bullshit. You're foot work and how well your balance is effects how hard you punch. You have to use your legs and feet to move around and create good angles for punches. In wrestling you do the same for take downs. MMA fighters combine those skills, but can't focus on one alone.

  • None of you guys have even fought professionally stop arguing and enjoy the show!

  • @DraconicVisage I'm a former pro fighter cruiser and Heavyweight. Fought amatuers and in the Army. Won titles at every level (NO World Titles as a Pro) street fighter too.

  • @bangitslo Im not buying it. Anyone who has fought in the amateurs would know how to spell it.

  • @amazingascention HAHAHAHA - dumbest comment ever! - What you want is my name. Funny thing about that is you've HEARD of me and have seen me MANY times - If you know boxing. I'll let you think what you want. If you're going to go by what was typed into this blog - I suggest you realize there's an apostrophe after the "I" in the contraction I am (I'm) hahahaha. Buy that my friend. hahahaha.

  • @bangitslo It is the internet, you can be anything. Just tell it to someone who might be gullible enough to believe it.

  • @bangitslo What was your name if your such a great fighter? Street fighting isn't fighting. It's assault and for losers who aren't good enough for a boxing ring.

  • is it just the film or do they not look as toned ast modern fighters ?

  • @kaindrg remember the year this happened in. These were the depression years. No big time equipment filled gyms and barely money for food.

  • @greymomma even before that boxer weren't that cut or is it jusy the resolution? i remember carnera was cut

  • @kaindrg I agree though, that the film has something to do with it. Because if you were to look at pics of both boxers you can see they were built. But not as much as Carnera IMHO. But again, now they've got equipment like these guys never knew. Which makes you think how much better they might've been now.

  • @greymomma then again americans didnt quite get the concept of balanced diet for a while

  • New jerseys pride

  • sweet dude ty fucking sweet

  • Ima western counties boxing champion and James J Braddock was heavy weight champ but the peoples champion. What a blokeee, long livee the memorys of the cinderella man!

  • Thats sick.

  • non ha prezzo battere il campione del mondo, nonchè il miglior picchiatore di tutti i tempi, con le costole rotte....vi ricordo che Braddock era ancora rimasto contuso dal match con Art Lasky

  • Rest in peace Braddock.

  • THIS WAS DURING THE GREAT DEPRESSION MARK BAER KILLED 2 GUYS IN THE RING WATCH THE MOVIE CINDERELLA MAN ~

  • @lachrisbrown lol its MAX BAER, and Baers family said that he wasnt depicted accurately, he didnt kill them in the ring. The first one died in hospital and second one died in his next fight. But yea..=P

  • @Mopzboy According to the movie tha first guy died on impact in tha ring after Baer hit him with a second hard hit

  • @69Ford429 thats just what the movie shows, look up the actual history, it says there.

  • baer took the right hook as nothing happened haha 3:48 - 3:50

  • Back then, fighting was real, not acted like the UFC and WWE crap of today.

  • @TheDragonKnight777 ufcs real man

  • @h0ckeyfan08 50% real. WWE -0% real. This - 100% real

  • @TheDragonKnight777 how is the ufc 50 % real man ? i didnt no this ahah kinda ruins it but yeh boxing was great back then

  • year?

  • The movie of this was great. Just watched the whole movie in my History class.

  • @JosephStalin11 same :D

  • pop pop, bang.......pop pop, bang

  • The real Cinderella Man.

  • i just wana know the shit he was talking.... lol

  • James Braddock doesn't use a phone, Crowe and Braddock are nothing alike.

  • Ron Howard and Russel Crowe make magic EVERYTIME.

  • Thanks for this. We are so lucky to be able to see these fights again.

  • @nitramgnal For REAL!! This makes me wanna get out and go training! Aint nuthin like the Real thing.

  • @kegedemorrow I'll join you just after I finish this pizza and beer.

  • @nitramgnal i gotta smoke this blunt, too. matterfact..we can train next week.

  • @kegedemorrow ...can i watch?

  • lol its look like russell crowe in there

  • Yes I did watch it last night and i don't know but tears fell from my eyes through his Wife and children hope and to his victory as well.. huhu love his life story.... very touching that's a real fighter and the best Dad as well... an inspiration...

  • max baer did not kill a man in the ring that was just added to cinderella man to make it more interesting. max baer actually knocked a guy named frankie campbell who then died in hospital

  • @n1ceyb0y yeah haha and then they said he killed 2 ppl and he didnt ernie chaff was killed bby primo not baer..

  • @n1ceyb0y why would you reply to something you havent got a clue about. He killed Frankie Campell by dislodging his brain from his skull. He died at noon the next day. It haunted baer the rest of his life. He was even charged with manslaughter but the charge was dropped.

  • who did max baer kill in the ring

  • @disembodiedfreak frankie campbell and apparently ernie schafff but he didnt ppl say the injuries killed schaff in a different fight

  • @disembodiedfreak Frankie campbell.

  • thanks very much for uploading this video :D

  • I mention Baer in The Celebrity Song.

  • U R awesome, keep this up!

  • just seen the movie on tv 5 mins ago.....what a story,...an fhear go mhaith seamus..rip!

  • I rented the "Cinderella Man" movie mainly to see the incredible punching power of Max Baer, but I didn't realize how tough James Braddock was. While he wasn't a big puncher he was accurate with excellent balance and footwork. The title fight itself was excellent, watching the real film footage is even better after knowing the backstory to the fight.

  • Russell Crowe did do an amazing job (he always does). I KNEW 'Max Baer's' name sounded familiar in the movie. He's the real life dad to Jethro of the Beverly Hillbillies!

  • @ColRangerFontana i have to agree, when i heard this film was being made, i thought someone like george clooney (irish american), would get it, and although clooney is a great actor, i feel he is not gritty enough. Russel Crowe (irish australian) can get lost in roles, and really become the guy he is playing. he did a fantastic job.

braddock was not just a great boxer, but a fantastic human, he served his country, he worked hard, and most importantly was a great family man, and role model.

  • in school , i must read the cinderella man and its a very good book!! i love braddocks

  • so how come in the flick Baer had to lose the star?

  • this was one of the worst fights in HW championship history

  • You are a damn idiot! this fight shows what happens when you dont take boxing serious!

  • would you shut up, you imbecile.

  • Baer goofed away the heavyweight title!

  • best fight in the world

  • Baer Jew?

  • o fuuck he have 0 technikue

  • MAN BOXING KICKS WRESTLING ASS

  • we all know the name of this game, and it shure as hell aint "pugilism". lol

  • You oughta' put that mouth in the circus.

  • lol...

  • I'm sorry I watched Cinderella man, but I think Max Baer threw this fight. I saw him fight other fights with Joe Louis and Primo Carnera. He was making this fight a circus.

  • Comment removed

  • @stemno153 I think he made a joke of it in the beginning and at one point just took too many hits and got sloppy.

  • I wonder how they trained back then (besides sparring)?

  • Wouldn't have been all that different. Running, shadowboxing, conditioning, jumprope, bag work. We do know more about how the body works now, so methods have become more advanced and refined, though.

  • One corner, a man who fights for fame...

at the other, a man who fights for his family...

A true hero and inspiration buried deep into

    our souls... James J. Braddock...

    BULLDOG OF BERGEN NUMBER ONE!

  • lol...loser!

  • im a bit dissapointed the max baer didnt actually kill that one guy IN the ring but instead he died a few days later

  • ''Bury him!''

  • after watching cinderella man, watching this, the real fight is like watching a piece of gold...

  • Russel Crowe did an excelent job of playing Braddock, moves around and punches just like him.

  • @kylek1127 not to say he isnt a great actor but there was alot of stunt doubling in the movie

  • Lol max bears son played on beverley hill billyies .

  • Ohh those were the days....15 rounds of fighting instead of the 12 rounds of today' fights. Back in those days they were concidered to be fighters and today's boxers more like athletes than fighters.

  • word man

  • True mate :)

  • @spareaxe I too have fond memories of the days where Max Baer killed people in public protected by the construct of boxing.

  • @capablemachine You mean like football, soccer, and skiing and car racing and golfing (maybe not so much) gambling in today's world? I agree with you.

  • @spareaxe I don't recall combat in any of those sports.

  • he only killed 1 person

  • @aaron234567890987643 What a gentleman.

  • @capablemachine by all accounts he was a gentleman and was racked with guilt about killing that man in the ring

  • @spareaxe those were the days? How old are you? 100???

  • @spareaxe look at how much more skilled fighters are today. mike tyson back then would be considered a god. well even now,....

  • @spareaxe yeah 15 rounds killed someone in max baer vs frankie campbell-thats why its 12 man; and todays boxers are fighters, theyre just smarter fighters and they dont put their hands at their wastes. boxing has evloved not changerd.

  • *evloved

  • @spareaxe They only have 12 rounds now? I wouldn't know because I don't, lemme repeat that, no body watches boxing now, I'm juss like every one else I watch UFC now.

  • @69Ford429 That old UFC is still around? You must be the only one.

  • @spareaxe Old UFC? WHAT!? WHAT!? WHAT!? wowwwww all the people I know that used to watch boxing (Friday Night Fights) with Ali, Tyson, Holyfield, Foreman, etc. now who do you ONLY hear about? Manny Pacqiou ( Don't know how to spell his last name), and Floyd Maywhether. THATS IT! Your very crazy OLD man "You must be the only one." almost EVERY guy at my school and basically almost every guy I know watches UFC..

Wait til tamarro, all you'll hear about if UFC124: GSP whooping Josh Koschecks ass

  • @69Ford429 Spend less time at school talking UFC and more time learning. It's spelled "Tomorrow."

  • @amazingascention dude, I know how to spell it. when I type shit over Youtube(the internet) I will type the same way I text my friends..so just because I wanna spell something different, doesn't mean idk how to spell the actual word. I'm sure you just like pointing out the shortcomings of others don't you? just sit on your mom's computer all day on Youtube doing that huh?

  • @69Ford429 If you are going to quote "Clerks" do it right. If you meant to do it, then it isn't a shortcoming is it? Check recent Pay-Per-View statistics to see where UFC and Professional Boxing rate.

  • @amazingascention Oh I quoted "Clerks" and I DID do it right!

"There is nothing more exhilarating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there?" is what Randal said, I just reworded my statement, buddy. And also, I don't appreciate your Ru's sir! = Epic Fail #1

And I checked recent PPV statistics and it said "UFC remains king of PPV hill." and "The UFC Dominated PPV in 2009." That's as recent as I found. = Epic Fail #2

Congrats, you failed twice in one comment.

  • @69Ford429 2010 (Let's get recent) the TOP pay-per-view card in any arena was MAyweather VS. Mosley with 1,400,000 buys. That's higher than any UFC bout. When you are 12, terms like "fail" may seem cool, but once you start dating women that will change. Keep googling. And the word you are trying to use, but spelled phonetically because you aren't literate is "ruse." Not Ru's. You have failure down to a science.

  • @amazingascention do you think I really give a fuck about PPV statistics?I'm sorry I'm not a 38 year old fat bald Dustin Diamond look-a-like virgin like u."once you start dating women that will change"

ROFL! hahah dude, what would you honestly know about dating women? I'm glad your here to tell me 'I have failure down to a science' since you wanna be all nerdy about it. I'd rather go out and party and actually fuck women instead of sitting at home on the computer;looking up internet porn like u

  • @69Ford429 Sounds like someone has been checking me out.

  • @69Ford429 And you must care about PPV statistics. You said you recently checked them. I will now quote you "EPIC FAIL!"

  • @amazingascention Yeah, I looked at your pathetic profile , and your point is? I really couldn't care because when you first told me to check them, I said fuck it, I'm not gonna look at this shit. so I changed my mind to see what you were talking about. Only thing I care about PPV is watching it for free! because I'm not a dumb ass that would pay like 60 fucking dollars to watch the shit. okay I'm done with you now...

oh and thanks for pointing out 'ruse' I was confused on that one!

  • @69Ford429 You were checking out a grown mans profile.....you are "confused" about alot of things.

  • @amazingascention Okay I know I said I was done, but was I supposed to be checking out a female minor's profile? You act like I was studying your profile like some one should be studying for SAT's.

Well I'm confused why your mother didn't get an abortion.

Okay now, I'm finished , have a good new year buddy!

  • @69Ford429 I'm sorry your parents are still trying for a son. Happy New Year. As they say in your favorite sport- TAP OUT.
