  • @Ethan2561 wow that's a big thing to say, I'm pretty sure you don't own to US Military so don't go around saying "my military's superiority" and think your not gonna get questioned on why you go around saying stuff that's not true. I do have to admit the American military has allot of resources to use but half of the people don't know what there doing with it or don't use it at all. Why even bother posting you're utter rubbish it's a waste of time get a life.

  • Who the fuck is arguing about britain vs USA? it's like a son saying "lol dad i better than u" and the dad is like "dude i gave you my genetics, and better opportunity than i ever had, i should hope you're good"

We all know anglosphere owns the world, now go and argue against terrorists or something and stop bickering amongst allies

  • @Ethan2561 Youve just got to remember we're the reason your shitty nation exists

  • @Ethan2561 There's always a yank or 2 under every video talking complete and utter bollocks.

Misinformed, deluded little pratt, that's you.

  • @Ethan2561 Wow, another patriotic ignorant twat, what a surprise

  • To all you American haters, the fact is, we all know you are simply jealous. They are not going to make statements that are not true. Think about this; a US Marine get's 13 weeks basic training, a truck driver in the British Army gets 16 weeks.

  • @15niall just proves we are more prepared for battle and also don't cause friendly fire.

  • Can you do a video on the weekend selection for T.A. rifles... mine is in about a months time in september and dont quite know what to expect. thanks :)

  • S.A.S, say no more!

  • it may not be very fair but the the interview board tend to pick the most attractive applicants and best specimens. basically they are gonna compare each specimen and the best worst of the bunch generally get rejected unless they are needed. somebody noticably ugly is not going to make it in the army. im not beign tight but some people just dont look good no matter how smart they dress you no what i mean. lets be honest some people are to ugly for this job

  • @210482fmj its probably true..I dont see too many ugly officers...I believe its because good looks are usually a sign of good health...because im applying for officer selection I dont know if im ugly or not..do you think some people just get through based purely on looks?

  • @malechauvinistxy i've heard a very well clipped mustache is common for officers

  • @210482fmj my pic is set as my bg.....I suppose people respond better to people with good looks and thats the reason they are selected as leaders...like for example would grown men/killing machines and big army guys who have been in the army for years respond, take orders and respect some tiny weed on a man who has just passed Sandhurst..I dont think so..its sad but true..good looking people do have an advantage in life.

  • @210482fmj I just wish the army and other jobs would stop being so pc about it and just say things like NO UGLY APPLICANTS ALLOWED...NO FAT CHICKS...NO FAT PEOPLE..LOL...and sometimes NO WOMEN...because small businesses in particular cant afford to hire women...it just clears things up..you dont give people false hope and it saves everybody time...God..am I starting to sound like Hitler?

  • @jukio02 well, to be honest, Britain has some of the most highly trained units in the world, and we also happen to be a tiny island as well

  • Weekend warriors!!!!!

  • british military sucks now, its not what it used to be. plus, theres only like 200,000 soldiers in the army, anyone can kick their asses now

  • Israel is NOT worth fighting for and especially dying for.

  • @mrtundra45 Tell me any country or religion thats worth being slaughtered for? I am still in the reserves in Sweden and they want me to go to Afghanistan, but never in my life!!!!!

  • @mrtundra45 it is for me

  • @240AG not if your white christian or atheist

  • @mrtundra45 why not if you're white?

  • @240AG Isreal is ANTI-WHITE EUROPEAN CHRISTIAN

  • @mrtundra45 no they're not?

  • @240AG YES yes they are dumbass!

  • @mrtundra45 no, they're not. They are not anti-christian or anti any religion.

  • @240AG Jews are anti-semetic, anti white european, anti-islam (zionist & extremist jews)

  • @mrtundra45 trust me, they're not. You're making a negative judgement on a specific race of people with no evidence...I think that's racist?

  • @240AG NO EVIDENCE??? lmaoooooooooooooo

you need to wake up pal... and i never said ALL jews i quote said (zionist and extremist jews)

    smh....

  • @mrtundra45 where's the evidence that jews hate christians?

  • @KeepEuropeWhite they are dying for Israel Zionists jews and the Brittish & American politicians who kiss their asses. SMH

  • look at the guy on right 0:59... fail

  • Shit

  • London = Londinostahn

  • ALL britts are pussy liberal cowards....look @ England the whole country is now a MUSLIM STATE...lolololol

  • @mrtundra45 At least our troops dont go on missions to murder civilians

  • @mrtundra45 and police state, see all them cctv cams everywhere, i mean HOLY SHIT! the movie V was right on the dime on that one

  • excellent..I heard the TA were better trained than most full time armed forces..Thats cos were British...

  • @1982FMJ

If you truly wanted to join, and be a soldier, officer, and renown warrior, then you wouldn't have been scared of the Afghan war. If you join ANY army and expect safety, then you must be blind. If it wasn't for war there wouldn't be armies. So your recruiter "saving your life" is more like "your not man enough, so you'll probably get hurt." Don't join the military expecting free rides for cowards, that's what politics are for.

  • Genuine question for those in/intending to apply for the forces: I've spent a few years studying politics and international relations and the more and more I learn, the more I wonder what the perspectives are of those involved. This isn't a question regarding the necessity of armies per se, rather I want to know what most people consider duty. Basically, (imo, with exceptions) a lot of what UK forces have been involved in the past 100years esp. have been morally gray if not illegal/unethical.

  • @whathuhwhere What are your attitudes to service in that, Middle East especially, UK involvement is illegal, or just makes things worse? If you join, would you leave or speak out if asked to do particular things? (Would you Brian Manning-it so to speak?) Most people I know are good people, but what if you are asked to do something illegal/wrong? What is the general attitude among you and your colleagues?

  • Can someone help me out please?

I'm currently at college studying A-levels, will be done by June. I want to join sandhurst to become an officer (haven't decided which particular type yet), how do I go about this? What are my chances of getting accepted? Will I have to go oversees?

    Any help will be appreciated!

  • @raeisa1 go to uni then join the Uni Training Corps!

  • @raeisa1 same here mate, but as a under-graduate :) cba with Uni i dont need it for what i want, i just under pressure to get my A-level grades ahh

  • @raeisa1 get your grades, dont stop that, but go to yout local ACO and talk to someone there, they will help you decide what corp would be best for you, depending on your skill set/ what you enjoy doing.

im currently training at RSME chattem, after passing out of sandhurst, a few months ago.

if your not sure becoming a full time member of the army will be for you (it is bloody hard).

then the TA is a possability but a part time soilder? honestly people dont respect them as much as they should.

  • 1982FMJ your comments are a disgrace. Your attitude and understanding of the Army is as poor as your grammer. If your story holds any truth, it was more likely the recruitment officer was saying 'slurp your Starbucks' coffee elsewhere as you're not good enough for the Army.

  • To the guys below,

I cant believe you can honestly comment saying some Registra for the army has told you this, your application form must have been the biggest load of shit for this to have been true! The army or any military organisation doesnt need cowards and hethans like you! Of course theres a risk when doing a job like this! As there is with any other job on this planet! And yes the TA do get posted in places like afghan but they are mainly here as a backup and those men and women are ju

  • ta recruitment officer saved my ass form the afghan war when i was considering joining. I thank him as he saved my life. he put the forms into the bag and broke the pen on purphouse. i had my starbucks coffee in my hand and he said you don't wanna risk losing that. he was basically advising me the best he could without saying it in words as they are not allowed to. recruiters are not happy signing people up as they don't agree witht his war and are just doing a desk job

  • @1982FMJ you're a jerk you know that right?

  • don't lie

  • @1982FMJ "he saved my life" you utter pleb. Most TA don't even get deployed and when they do most of them get posted to slipper city. He most likely took a look at your application, thought you were a mong and fed you a load of bullshit

  • you fool i was going in to get the forms off him. you don't have to be special to do this job. you make it sound as though the people who do this are different to any human being. he made it clear you the chances of being brutally injured were high. of course im sure you enjoy that happening to people for youre little war machine

  • @1982FMJ any man or woman willing to give their life is special in my book, sounds more like a case of either spoon fed the bullshit because your form was that bad, or you failed TA selection due to over zealous pie consumption

  • @InfantryChans91: lol! ;)

  • Best way to make the elite richer and make sure they succeed their agenda (total control over you). Heroes! right.

  • there are many of other ways to be a Officer too. but those are just for the prime Military schools there very hard to get in and Education is very demanding. but for some Reason it's always the low scoring people who become the most famous in history lol. Example Gen.Patton passed at the bottom of his Class. lol.

  • Captain Utley ..... wey hey!

  • why does it look like they are training in adventure playground rather than an actual assault course

  • Oi cunt! Do u start talking about weekend warriors when that's 70s/ 80s TA. We do actually go on tours, and unfortuantly 1 lad from my bn got killed on herrick last year you cunt

  • @slanker786 you're a fucking bellend, the t.a take all the stick and still get the job done well, almost all the surgeons in afghan are t.a and they're the ones saving your lives when you're injured. The t.a have to do almost all their training themselves whillst you get motivation and training 24/7 shut up you utter prick we're all doing the same job for the same purpose

  • @dogmeat with DE officers u hav to go to feck load of interviews, pre AOSB and AOSB. Which are pretty difficult to pass. You've then got to do ur terms at the factory (RMAS Sandhirst), which is one of the oldest and most prestigious military academy in the world

  • yes the guy at 0:43 is wearin a guard cap star!!!!

  • @Nautilus, obviously the world would be better without war, it's kind of a given :S

  • A given?? um.... the world would be a *horrible* place without war.

War and race are fantasically powerful forces for our continued evolution and survival as a species.

A homogenious, stable, peaceful society would be wiped out by disease, invaders or the slightest hickup, while the progress of technology would grind to a halt.

  • ur is not a word...just saying.

  • What about u'r?

As in...... u'r a fuckin tosser if u think fighting over typing or grammar in a limited text box on youtube is a valid argument to anyone for anything.

  • just cause ur american and ur troops are not as advanced as our troops

  • Nautilus1972 one who thinks like that is doomed to defeat and failure in life.

  • What is, West Point? Is that why West Point has never won a Sandhurst Competition? Explain to me why US Lieutenants and Ensigns are so bloody bad? Why does the world come to Sandhurst to train its officers? Why does every military historian worth his salt lecture there? You might want to pull you head out of your ass!

  • Ensigns are not trained at West point. try the Naval Acadamy. also u seem to forget the allied armies where led by a West point and U.S naval Academy leaders.

also many Military Historians lecture at West point and other Top U.S Military schools.also to get into those schools it's a lot harder it seems then what thsi vid shows.

you need to get a go ahead from your state Senetor and only 2-4 ppl from each state are picked. so the selection for a U.S Cadet is much much much tougher,

  • The Service Academies are all by-and-large the same, which is why US officers across the services are of roughly the same caliber. I never stated that Ensigns were trained at West Point. The leadership of West Point graduates in the Second World War was dismal, and accounted for the failure of the Western Allies to win any decisive victories in Italy or North-West Europe. Eisenhower was supreme commander solely for political reasons performed poorly. He is the case in point.

  • your saying Eisenhower was a bad general? lol hahahahaha, all allied commanders had to get there operation confirmed by Ike. sorry but Ike was no dummy.

I like the Brits but there is a reason why they don't really commander large allied forces cause they get a lot of ppl killed and dont' treat there allies as there own like what they did to the Aussies in WW1 and to the U.S in North Africa.

  • The selection to U.S. Service Academies is also pointless. Most candidates are not properly assessed, many are recruited just to play sports, and affirmative action is rampant. There is no meaningful assessment of candidates prior to being offered appointments, and many if not most of the Cadets and Midshipmen are not of great quality, and most of them have at best mediocre leadership potential. I know, I went to Annapolis.

  • What the hell made you think sandhurst gives out officer badges like sweats from this video?

Only the truly capable will make it! thoroughly Assessed by the finest training officers.

The only difference between uk & us is we give anybody a chance and its up to you to prove yourself, not just hand pick people in the first place.

If you are officer material, you will make it simple as.

    - But no way will u get through if you don't meet the full criteria.

Fuckin yanks always big mouths no brains

  • um... was talking about going to military military academies, since they are also colleges too. every one in the U.S military has a chance at trying for officer. the U.S Military has many ways for someone to become a Officer, you can go to a military academy,go to a regular college and enroll into a ROTC program or enlist then they try out for OCS but for OCS you need to have a college degree before trying.

I was stating the Adademys are the hardest to get into.

  • "you need to get a go ahead from your state Senetor "

Enough said, a good officer isn't judged on his connections.

  • @smoochym it's not Connections. for West Point and the Naval Acd, only 4 people are selected each year from each state. you have to send a letter to a senator and he/she checks your education grade level and reads your letter on you think your good enough to go.

  • how hard is i to even get into sandhurst if you join as a regular? and how hard is it to actually pass sandhurst?

    thanks

  • Rm officers get more respect from the troops than the rm officers do.

  • @

socarulz Yea Go to Sandhurst,,,,,,, learn to be a officer cook, or go to Lympstone, and learn to be you.,,,, wat eva that may be, Lympstone don't need the 99% of wankers out here

     You a wanker ??

  • We are talking about the same thing as in "Weekend warrior"? As I said I just know about the Swedish territorial?

  • And don´t know about your Territorial army, but when I did my time in the Arctic rangers the next worse insult you could get was to be compared with the Swedish territorial army! I would shut about it if i was in the Swedish territorial. No offense!

  • Comment removed

  • @EddieTheFishReturns totally fucking agree mate!

  • @EddieTheFishReturns The supposed reasons for the invasion of Iraq were wrong yes, but you can't argue with the outcome. Democracy restored and a tyrant rid of; I fail to see the wrong in that.

Iran is almost as much as a bad threat of total war in the Middle East as Iraq was in the 90s when attacking Israel with Scuds - the reason for Gulf War I - I can only praise that we haven't still got Iraq to deal with. Israel would be having a field day, because that's where it'll be kicking off next.

  • i like the british military you guys are fun to train with

  • Better than training with the fucking Iraqis

  • ive just left the Royal Marines, but im getting a scholarship to go to uni and then sandhurst : )

  • Wow... but why? Were you un-commissioned in the RM? If so, surely they'd welcome you back for officer training at Lympstone after your degree? (presuming you pass POC)

I'm interested because I'm also going to uni next year, and I'm weighing up joining the Army or the Booties.

  • I thought about joining the RMR while at uni to get my green beret and then apply for a YO course at lympstone afterwards.

But the army have offered me 1 grand a year and a place at sandhurst upon graduation(the marines wont pay you to go to uni)

So i snapped their hand off.

  • Yeah, I also heard the RM are tight as a ducks arse. A RM WO who I met through an ex-Army college tutor said they don't offer scholarships because, basically, they don't have to! They get more than enough applicants, so they don't bother to shell out. Sad really.

  • i think it might also be because RM officer training is so hard. Its 15 months of truly, the hardest training in the world.

So the navy wont want to invest over 3 grand in applicants who may not make it through.

I did two mud runs while at lympstone and it was an experience I will never forget. YO's have to do a mud run in their first week. unless you've done marine training, you cant understand how bad that is.

  • 2:06 ''Just give it a go'' He means on the training grounds right?

  • Wait wait wait....10 training "weekends"?!

  • whats wrong with that?

  • fukk offf you dick , ive served 6 years in the army and im intending to carry on my carrer till i turn very old and im only 22 so shut up

  • Good video but why the soft music in the background? since when was the Army so fluffy.

  • wat lvl of education do we need to apply for TA officer?

    or it dn't matter?

    I wonder..

  • You need the same qualifications as regular officers.

  • its the same i think. 3 a-levels or equivalent

  • 2 or equivalent. ( 180 ucas points)

  • So, are there Military Universities like

West Point, Annapolis and Air Force Academy in the UK??? or does all the forces send their officers recruits to Sandhurst??

  • Almost all Uni's in the UK have a course (OTC) where you can join the TA and be part of the military, but then there's also Sandhurst for the Military, I'm actually not sure about the Air Force or Navy. HOwever the Royal Marines I know train their own officers in their own areas... And I think the Para's do too..

  • yeah the royal marines train their officers at Lympstone in 2 phases commando traning for the first 32 weeks then once you've gained your green berret it's a further 7 months officer training 15 months total.

  • Royal navy officer cadets go to Dartmouth RAF go to Cranwell.

  • then they all bacome stooges for U.S. foriegn policy and get injured for nothing, then are consigned to the "scrapheap" and the dole.

  • i don't think females should be officers!!

    they are frail little things

  • i believe they should be allowed to be officers, but not placed in the field. they should stay in offices

  • the whole point of an officer in the army is to lead men. what is the point of an officer if all they're going to do is sit in an office?

  • very niave.

  • come to me and ill punch your face

  • lol

  • you are just a dick head. fucking cabbage head.

  • say that to a marines face.

  • I will.

  • ha you won't have a face long but that's properlay an advantage for u ugly wee mug

  • who gives a fuck if you were in the marines you cock

  • Obviously not you, because it seems you don't have a clue about what kind of achievement that is. If you were in the marines, it would be the proudest bloody moment of your life.

  • well said

  • My dad is an ex-british gurkha army, I m here right now In sydney studying I.T engineer Age 19 ,but i really want to be an british army just because my dad, his brother , my grand dad and all of the 55 yrs of service from my family To united kingdom. Its my turn now I want to pay as respect To british army as well, I have plan to visit U.k as soon as my degree finishes. -Ashish Nepal pokhara Currently residing (sydney)

  • fucking pussy officers

  • are you an officer ? no, therefore you dont know what its like to be one and your opinion counts for nothing

  • Hahaha what? I watched your 'pussy' pistol whip video kid and you have no comprehension of what you just said! These officers would eat your for breakfast.

  • thats not me, thats my son. i served in the marines for 8 years, so i think i know more about this than you.

  • p.s. sa-80 is shit..

  • better than the ak-74 so shut the fuck up

  • when you automat would boken in the fight and you can just say"oooops"then you will undestand what automat is better...

  • AK-74 are a better weapon than the l85A2 (Remember the SA-80 is the family name just like AK is the family name) but in close quarters the L85a2 is better weapon to have due to it's bull pup design.

  • im sorry, but 185a2 is way better than ak47 at long range aswell, you couldnt hit a barn door with an ak at 300 metres, but you could be getting headshots at that range with an sa80

  • It's a L85a2 and an AK74 (the version after the AK47) and that's not true because with the L85a2 you have around a 600m effective range and with the LSW version you can get better range but with the AK74 it uses a smaller caliber bullet than the L85a2 and has the potential to hit around a 1,000 meters.

  • oh, what calibre does an 1k74 use?

  • Our L85a2 uses a 5.56 and the AK74 uses the smaller 5.45 bullet

  • Aha and all the same all soldiers speak one and too. The rifle constantly breaks and does not work at the slightest hit of a dirt and is very difficult in use

  • It needs as much cleaning as a M16 and has about the same amount of problems as the M16 as well but it isn't to bad and still battle worthy considering we use it in sand conditions and they still work.

  • i prefer ak-74 or ak-103 and an-94 if war will start i will take one of this auto becose this weapons can save your live in real fight becose in range all auto is best and in real fight they are shit..becose ak and an will never brake or misfire or suddenly will cease to shoot

  • i see to much womans this bad my diar friends this is not right(becose woman more silly then man)

  • the girl at 1:31 looks chinese. What do you guys reckon?

  • Fuck this, join the Royal Navy.

  • is the t/a like the national guard?

  • yeh pretty much

  • yeah

  • lol

  • whoa my aosb in april lol

  • My advice to you would be T/A officer, this way you have the best of both worlds, a working life as a civilian and a working life as a soldier either way it depends on what you wanna do for you future if you want to be in the army as a full time job then go for regulars but my advice would be T/A, ive recently finished my recruitment training and it was awesome.

  • i no its probably a stupid question but do ya have to pay to join the army

  • No you don't have to pay, you get payed as soon as you start training .

  • I was thinking about becoming an officer in the TA when I'm 20. But I still keep on changing my mind whether I want to be a regular/ TA or a soldier/Officer. Alittle bit scared, though it should be a good challenge as it's always something I've wanted to do.

  • and i forgot the lung capacity test

  • LOL, good to see a Mr JT on there, did Mod 2 and 3 & part of 4 with that guy...what scream!

  • Anyone tell me,what is involved in the medical? i've had asthma but that cleared up about 10 years ago, thank fuck!

what sort of things do they pick up on?

  • As you've had asthma before you may require a lung test. the medical inludes a urine test, hearing test, BMI (body mass index) test, colour blindness test, sight test and a thorough medical ffrom a doctor which includes a talk on physical condition. The doctor also checks your movement to make sure you are suitable for physical training and then finally, the only undignified part, checks your genitals. I hope this was useful.

  • why do they need to check your genitals

  • The doctor that saw me said it was for signs of testicular cancer and for general sexual health.

  • Do they also check women?

  • i guess so. Although there were no women when i was at selection

  • Lots when I was there. Plenty on the subsequent TAPO phases as well.

  • sounds h a w t.

  • ye i no i can see you lol

  • well your not in iraq anymore are you your sitting righ next to me eating shit, x

  • stig your in this vidoe lol see you... well in about 2 mins x

  • im in iraq right now, its 5:36 im just about to go get some food, i remember training it seems so long ago, ive changed so much.

  • Im in year 11 doin my GCSE's but i wanna join as an officer after sixthform. I wanna go for the infantry.

  • oh my god this army concept is so lame, i ve been a soldier, it s the worst job i ve EVER done, i d go on the run before rejoining.

  • why isit the worst? lol just wondering m8 i mite be joining soon

  • i wanna join after my a-levels but do you have to go to uni to be an officer?

  • Nope, I think it's 5GCSEs (A*-C) and 180UCAS points, which works out at 2 a-levels. Some roles like engineering and Medical officer and shit need degrees, but for most stuff they just look for common sense etc.
