I also find it fascinating how they sequence and stagger the order in which the gates open...I suppose it makes sense to do it that way, just as you said: they probably do that so it wont disrupt the river too much.
This would be fantastic if I didn't know this is on the way to my sister's. God help those downstream!!! Nothing less than murder
