  • i dont think they had ipods in the 60s (when kitty died)

  • @jamiesjunk123 I know right? I took some liberties and updated the time period. I thought it would be interesting to start with the ipod to relate to the music.

  • four minutes of walking? really we could have got the point with much less. for the "action" of the story it was too dark to even see!

  • @openingur3rdeye Yeah I had some lighting difficulties! :) Since I didn't use any dialogue I decided to go with a music video approach. I learned a lot making this film and one thing is, like you said, the walking got boring.

  • can someone tell me exactly who Kitty Genovese is?

  • @reesee02 google

  • could havwe been clearer tbf ....

  • THAT SONG: "she and him" <3

  • Nice modern day retelling!

  • @Ay2har Thanks! It was a lot of fun to make!

  • gotta de-interlace that bitch

  • The facts are wrong.

She was killed very late at night (around 3:30 AM) in two separate attacks. Nobody witnessed the entire thing, and there was no apathy involved.

People thought it was a lover's quarrel. Some people actually did call the police, but they didn't respond.

  • @Rayven10 It's a modern day retelling, so it is very difficult to get everything in.

  • @Rayven10 No one guy just said LEAVE THAT GIRL ALONE and left. She actually screamed out I'VE BEEN STABBED.

  • @higoshimaru No substantiated evidence to that effect. Many people heard what they thought was an argument, some called the police.

Either way, there was no apathy involved. Also, her killer was later picked up for robbery charges when the neighbor of the house he was robbing detained him and called police. So much for apathy...

  • @Rayven10 police tend to come really late in big cities, so that its almost useless to call them. theres a shitload of traffic and theres a small police to general population ratio in big cities.

  • @OdeToNecrophilia That is certainly true now. Calling the police in a large city is virtually useless.

But Ms. Genovese wasn't actually in a big city, and the times were different. The cops didn't come because they believed it to be a rather uneventful call, and so they didn't treat it with any priority. Had they come on the first call, she would have been wounded but alive.

  • @Rayven10, you're an idiot.

  • @ShaytanBozorg Interesting counterpoint. Good thing that you have nothing to go against my arguments and just go with insults.

I've researched this case and have knowledge of it from various angles. What do you have? Oh right, you have an insult.

    Way to go, Mr. Lobotomy!

Now go crawl back into the sewer you crawled out from. Go on... I'm sure you'll find your intellectual equivalent down there if you look hard enough.

  • @Rayven10, your reply was like an idiotic 6th grader who thinks he just "pwned" someone on the Internet. Fuck off now.

  • @ShaytanBozorg I've given some thought to your request that I "fuck off now", and decided to decline your invitation.

And considering that you've now twice decided to use insults instead of actual dialogue, I think it's pretty clear who the intellectual 6th grader is...

You really should start looking for that sewer now. It will be dark soon and someone of your mental stature shouldn't be out alone.

  • @Rayven10 thanks for the input. I know it is not very factual but I was only using the case as a sort of back bone or inspiration. I was simply going for the emotion of a senseless murder. I wish I could have done the story more justice.

  • she and him :)

  • i knew it! i was just there in may. nice video!

  • where was this filmed? it looks familiar to me...

  • Hey, thanks for asking! It was filmed on brook side and down town Tulsa, OK

  • Anna and Jacob Westfall, i'm amusing you're brother and sister, this video is fantastic! you've really captured the dying moments of this young New Yorker, thats a beautiful song at the end, kinda sad but i like it, what is it please?
