    W- Squat 3x5 Inc Bench 3x5 Power clean 5x3

    F- Squat 3x5 Bench 3x5 Deadlift 1x5

    Increase weight on everything by intervals of 5lbs once able to do full 3x5 cept deadlifts u add 15lbs

    Do this untill ur at approx bench-225lbs Squat-315lbs Deadlift 405lbs

    I'm always afraid I rest even too long. Because I hardly ever have muscle pain so I like to rest two days inbetween the workouts of a bodypart.

    I would love to split more (say have 4 or even 5 different musclepart days) does that make sense in my case?

  • ALSO.....**Don't forget**..... each muscle that is 'worked out' requires not only extra energy exerted but extra carbs/protiens "energy" input from diet/supplements. Which means for example if you have a 4,000 calorie diet. You are "allowed" to burn less than 4,000 calories before your body starts actually attacking and stealing the calories from your muscles. For each extra muscle that Is worked a day, that's extra calories that your body is burning to feed energy to, and repair those muscles.

  • What about abs and cardio?

  • @GamesAreAwesome You can add cardio sparingly, but in their case, they are presumably bulking, so cardio isn't necessarily required unless your BMR is slow. When you start cutting, then you may include cardio on a regular basis to raise your metabolic rate and thus, burn fat. Abs may be done every other day due to the fact that your abs recover much quicker than do your other muscle groups.

  • You can be in the gym everyday, it's just if you over train a muscle

  • i am a mesomorph should i do cardio on my split days? would that affect me? also if im doing a lot of cardio my legs are working out a lot should i still work them out with weights?

  • @Lakaiiiiii started it on monday. ive been eating like a horse hopefully put some size on. i can tell u this tho my chest and front delts i stil cant feel em lol and i havnt had this sore feeling in months . love it lol. thanks dudes

  • @ilovetheburn If your trying to build muscle cut your workout by one or two days and do either a 3 or 4 day training split and leave bis and tris till the end as there a very small muscle in comparison to the others and dont need much work! Also only have a protein shake 2 a day and eat more solid food!

  • wait i've doing lifting Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Wednesday for Biceps, Back, THursday for Legs, Friday, for Triceps, Chest, Shoulders, Saturday for abs, having Whey protein, would you consider that bad?? I started a month ago so.

  • @redhotkido depends whether or not u seeing gains man, if u feel ur not getting bigger and stronger u need more rest and more calories but it also depends on ur goals, like if ur just looking to tone and lean up thats probably a good idea

  • I am on a 50 day split.I workout really hard with a full body workout then i rest for fifty days.Once i cheated and only rested 49 days BOY was i sore the next day.

  • People who are smaller or are beginners should do a 3 day full body workouts. I guarantee you will be much better if you lift one compound lift per major body part. Also you never have to work out arms. I havnt worked out arms in 2 years and they have kept up with the rest of my body because of chest and back. I just now after 3 years started a 4 day split with chest, back, shoulders one day and legs and abs the next. You will put on mass this way if you work the diet. Its mostly diet anyways.

  • I used to workout using a 3 day split, I found it very effective. I now train using a 5 day split, since starting this split my muscle growth has vastly improved, although using this split has dramatically decreased my energy levels. I do not take any performance enhancing drugs neither do I take any supplements off any kind and never have.

    After experiencing different types of splits I would defiantly suggest using a 3 day split.

    There are many ways to split up all your muscles into 3 days

  • wat? it takes me 45 mins just to workout one body part with intensity and minimal rest...

  • @batterycock if it takes you 45 mins to work out one body part (and you don't juice, of course), there is something wrong with your routine... after about an hour in the gym your body is going to start breaking down muscle for energy (catabolism), and I've had full upper and lower workouts that took less than an hour! Try doing a warm-up set with high reps and get the blood flooding the muscle group, or do drop-sets, pyramid sets, or up your weight! Any/all of these will up your intensity.

  • @Cradle2Venus i know many people who workout only one muscle group per week, that can take up to 45mins.

    i was actually agreeing with "dfvish" question below, on how can you exercise 3 different muscle groups in a single workout under a hour...? like how many different sets per muscle group would you do.

  • @batterycock Compound pyramid and isolation dropset combo, approx. 8-11 minutes:

    Chest: (compound)Benchpress: 20reps at 100lbs (r), 12@120 (r), 10@140 (r), 10@160 (r), 8@180, 6@200 (r), 5@220 (f), do dumbbell flyes no-rest 8reps at 70lbs ea. (f), 8@50ea. (f), 12@25 (f), 20@15 (f), Push-ups (f).

    *(r)=30-45sec rest, increase weight

    *(f)=or until form failure

    rest 2 minutes, do shoulders, then triceps (in that order & same weight/rep fashion. Compounds first, isolations second, form above all.

  • @dfvish they probably do supersets, meaning as soon as they do a set of exercises for one muscle they move right on to another exercise for a different muscle and keep going in a circuit. This way they don't waste time and can still recover from the fatigue of the original muscle exercised

  • I do a 3/4 day split as well but I do; legs+bicep sunday, back+chest tuesday, tricep+shoulders thursday and I try going in a 4th day on friday or saturday to do cardio.

    I think thats a good plan, or what do u think?

  • @klum03 deadlifts are great for you glutes hamstrings lowerback we can not perform this exercise because of our lowback condition instead we do glute ham raises

  • @klum03 I do not do cardio I just do high intensity strength training sometimes we will get on the versa climber after a workout when we are trying to lower our bodyfat under 4%
