You know I used to think like this. Family come first, what everyone else thinks matters, blah blah blah. But at the end of the day, SHE'S the one going into the relationship, it's HER life. Her parents will die one day, friends come and go, the person who you feel is your soul-mate will stand by her. If she's in love then she should go with it and not care about this. If her parents don't like it, then good for them for marrying someone 'acceptable', but she should live her own life, not theirs

This relationship will not work. I don't think she's thinking clearly. The Korean society and culture is too conservative, and there is no way her man can be accepted into Korea. Forget about him getting a job there. Not even the lowest job. If he's highly educated, you can forget that as well. You have to fit into the social structure to get a job there.
