I think there are some RARE asexual people, but that most have a need and desire for physical intimacy with other humans. That intimacy obviously includes expressed sexuality. I don't think there's any way to quantify male vs. female libido levels. I believe they are comparable. And keep in mind that rape is about power, not sex...

Fascinating, but if one believes (as I do) that homosexuality is usually innate, I don't buy that 'lesbianism is unheard of' anywhere, including remote Albania. It's a natural phenomenon that occurs EVERYWHERE. Human sexual impulses cannot be ignored once they appear. They don't have to be acted on, but the feelings cannot be completely repressed (unless one is hormonaly manipulated or genitally mutilated.)

It's not unheard of, but it very very very rarely happens...and those cases are usually of people who have immigrated to other countries and have lost their Albanian identity (I believe it is innate, too).
I would also say that people should be careful when watching videos like this, because then they'll think that Albania is like that (hence, your word usage:remote). This is about rural Albania...and places like these, rural areas, there are everywhere, not only in Albania.

I never suggested Albania was uniformly 'remote.' EVERY country has 'remote' areas. 'Remote' is simply a somewhat more extreme degree of 'rural'. I have traveled all over the world, and I know that for many years, Albania was one of the only countries (like modern-day N. Korea) which did not allow tourists in. Because of that, many still think of it as 'backward'.Untrue now, of course. The documentarian makes it clear that this is RARE because it IS in a remote area, part of a dying tradition.
