  • I get that from time to time, though not as much. And it's usually on my thigh, arm or shoulder. For some reason, I always feel the need to look at it when it happens lol. I'm just strange like that.

  • I hope you also got my previous comment. Peter Levine and David Berceli.

  • Btw you appear to have a fallen arch. You might want to see a podologist. I recommend MBT shoes, they helped my posture a lot. Barefoot is also good. The foot problems have effects all the way through calf, knee, hamstring, hip and lower back. Micro-osteopathy is very good. I have constant fasciculation together with plantar fasciitis in my left foot but it is now healing nicely I think.

  • I wish we could discuss. on the psychogenic aspect see Alexander Lowen, Peter Levine and David Berceli. Western medicine is blind, especially to anything that cant be solved by drugs or surgery.

  • IMHO it is perfectly normal and the result of over-sollicitation of the muscles which in this way try to clear out lactic acid. It may result from exercise, postural problems, stress, trauma, and/or (most likely) abuse in childhood. In any case, the fasciculations are providing a useful function to the body so let them be. Obviously I agree that you should rule out pathologies but you should not worry that it might be pathological because it is unlikely.

  • @xpecial557 Is your opinion based on science, or are you guessing? How do you make the lactic acid connection? I ask because based on my reading and professional consultations, the causes are at present unknown.

  • im 42 this has been happening over my entire body (but mostly my feet and legs) since i was 10 years old it is not painful just annoying but has been happening for so long sometimes i'm more aware of it when it stops

  • I'm 24 year old Healthy use to workout everyday until I started having twitches all over my body its been almost 3 months for me somedays are worse than others, I still have my strenght from working out Im going to try ACUPUNCTURE tomorrow I went to my Doc and he gave me Muscle relaxers and send me home I hate taking pills So I decided to try something different I will let you all know if Acupucture WORKS STAY POSITIVE GOD BLESS YOU STAY STRONG WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER!!

  • If you have fasciculations please do yourself a favor and get a Western Blot Test for Lyme disease. These type of symptoms are often caused by an infection of the spirochete Borrelia Burgdorferi. Not just ticks, but many other bloodsuckers can transmit Lyme along with many other nasty co-infections and parasites. It is very important to consult a Lyme literate doctor (LLD), either before or after your western blot test. As soon as I started antibiotics my fasciculations drastically decreased

  • My dang left foot for 2 days now lol! I first noticed these ripples and twitches about 11 years ago, and they've gotten worse as I've gotten older; can't wait to see a neurologist in case it's something worse.

  • Why does this hppn? i got it like 30 mins ago...

  • My foot does the exact same thing sometimes! Kind of annoying but it sure looks weird

  • I get this in exactly the same place...everyday! If you put a match on it you can watch it dance!

  • I have this all over my body two yrs now. Mostly in my legs. My ears are ringing some body help me! I am seening a neuro and MD...but test are coming back neg.

  • Oh my goodness me. I looked this up to see if it matched what I'm going through (it doesn't; I get full-on jerks in random parts of my body, not to mention numbness and electric shocks down my spine, and then some) and it looks pretty creepy. How often does that happen? Does it hurt or is it just a nuisance? I'm 20 and female, btw.

  • @daddycutsme It doesn't hurt at all, can barely feel it. When it's very active it feels like little bubbles running along the skin. This movement is chronic (never stops) although the frequency of the twitches sometimes slows to one or two a second. The video was taken during a very active phase.

  • i got that but like on the bottom the was connected to my big toe

  • I don't get it, I have the twitches in my eyelids, and in my legs (not feet and rarely my arms)... So why is it not continueos for me and it is for you?

  • does anybody notice an e1ectric current effect that happens when a twitch happens in you....it often stif1es peop1e around you....Its the trippiest thing I have ever had to dea1 with....p1ease te11 me I am not a1one

  • does anybody notice an e1ectric current effect that happens when a twitch happens in you....it often stif1es peop1e around you....Its the trippiest thing I have ever had to dea1 with....1ease te11 me I am not a1one

  • i get that sometimes

  • caffine, adhd or depression medications, diet pills, and by the way in some people MAGNESIUM actually causes twitching....have you tried potassium? It works for me. Then again, I'm on ADHD medication.

  • Hello I am 16 I have gotten this sometimes but only when I am really tired I think it happened on my left leg in on spot right north a little from my knee cap and that one spot started to do that in one spot I am really afraid of what's going on I don't want to have some disease that will stop my from my training for soccer season I dont know what to do someone please help me

  • UGH isnt that annoying???!!! I hate BFS

  • @arawrebirth20 -

I really am not bothered by the sensation, which is hardly noticeable, especially if I'm wearing shoes.

  • @gkatch22 Yes shoes do help quite a bit I guess.Do you have them all over your body?

  • omg, i get his all the time!

  • I believe this is a biological substance being sprayed on the public . A year and 6 months ago my ankle swelled and then went down and then I started feeling movement in my foot it crawled around with what felt like tentacles .I used a frequency generator with various frequencies and it subsides some what so that it doesn't move, or try dc electricity 20 or 30 volts doesn't hurt use some type of prob metal tube with wire connected. tell others doctors no hope ! take baking soda in capsules 3 x2

  • hi, i have the exact same thing but a but higher (back of the ankle). im a bit worried cuz i dont know what it is a (in other words i dont fully understand) an im worried as im the captain of my school football team and head of the sprinting team. does this pose any threat to my sporting activities ormy health?

    any answers greatly appreciated

  • @HylianFury: Yes, continuously. Still going as of now, 11 months post-video! I've had the suite of neuro exams, and the cause is still unknown.

  • @gkatch22 DUDE ITS MAGNESIUM DEFICIENCY I have the same thing and started taking extra magnesium less than a week ago and it's curing

  • @TribeOfGadIsraelite Yeah, thanks, some one else also recommended Mg supplements. I've been taking them for two years now, and have not noticed any improvement in the symptoms. I'm going to stop taking them and see if anything gets worse.

  • I have your exact symptoms - every day for 6 years. I was diagnosed 6 yrs ago with benign fasciculation syndrome, however after 6 years of being told I was stressed by a local neurologist, when I wasn't, I now have symptoms with my voice. I demanded a referral to a specialist hospital where a problem with my potassium channels for my nerves has been picked up. The point of my message is to ask for thorough testing to confirm it is BFS rather than something else.

  • 24/7?

  • @ptheglev Yes, it's chronic, but the intensity of the tics varies from about one every second or two, up to what you see in the video.

  • Do you only feel the symptoms in your foot and nowhere else in the body? if so, there is also a possibility you might have tarsal tunnel syndrome. which gives you more hope for relief

  • Twitching is in both arches and calves on both legs. I think it's really neurological. If it were tarsal, it would have to be on both sides, and then it doesn't explain the calf muscles.
