And for god's sake, if the clips aren't clipping at the bottom of the bezel, don't glue it on! Whoever suggested that must either be an idiot or a troll. There's a more helpful video posted by wwwcnncn called "Blackberry Bold 9700 Assembly Tutorial." When I got stuck after watching this video, I found that one. I totally would have been hosed without it.
If your bottom clips won't snap, it's probably because the mainboard isn't set in properly. Make sure the clips at the bottom of the mainboard are wrapped around the bottom of the mainboard. Otherwise everything will screw together just fine, but the bezel won't clip on properly.
Hi, I disassmbled my phone and reassembled it with a new housing but I didnt change the middle part. I then found that my reception is terrible. I tried putting the original housing back and still had the same problem. Is there a way i can fix this?
I have done this and have ended up with the middle part -the silver faceplating -and it doesn't want to clip down on the bottom- I changed NOTHING! Simply replaced the original parts after disassembly. Is there a trick to clipping in the bottom part?
@bronxemsmedic the same happened to me, the little part underneath the keyboard won't click down and It's REALLY annoying me, Its even happening with the original one :(
Hi, if I disassemble my Bold 9700 like you showed in the other video, do I need anything special to change my middle-part housing? Someone said I will need solder, is this true?
