  • Beautiful farm.

  • wow great.. i give this 5 star

  • The best stories are told in simple words. This guy is really cool.

  • i like this guy. cool

  • That's surprising, I thought he was going to talk about how they harvest the seeds, but he doesn't even grow them for that purpose? How does he make money off of them, other than the $1 per camera?? I loved it though, he's a sweet old guy.

  • He also set it up as a u-pick too, or, in this case a u-cut! What's leftover he makes available as birdseed. The rest of his farm has lots of wonderful vegetables that he sells at the local farmer markets and at the stand at his farm.

  • Awesome!

  • i love hearing the story behind these things. great video

  • Thanks nootpad. More farming stories to come!

  • This is my favorite flower. What I want to know is, how do you consistently find people to interview who are knowledgable, charming, funny and, most interestingly to me, average people who seem perfectly at home in front of a camera...no little feat!

  • Thanks for the comment, indiainmiami!

Given the opportunity, I believe most people have something interesting to share, especially when it's about something they love to do!

  • In North Dakota we grow huge quantities of sunflowers commercially, but nobody goes to North Dakota and nobody pays to go look at a field.

  • He only asked for a $1 if you wanted to walk in the field to take pictures. Hopefully this wouldn't put too many people off. But just to take in the view...free :)

  • That was a great video :) Loved hearing his story about his sunflowers.

  • Going into this I had no idea what this sunflower field had to offer, other than some beautiful flowers. Turns out it had it's own story after all! Thanks for the comment :)

  • Wow. Great segment? Good job.

  • How long does it take the plant to grow to the point of harvest?

  • here's a riddle: why does he let the birds eat all of his sunflower seeds?

  • What a beautiful SunFlower garden. I do it every year too, but, my problem are the squirels, not the birds. Whatever seeds are left, I dry and save for the following year...

  • My brother loves sunflower seeds, I like the flower though. :)

  • I'm with you, the flower is one of my favorites. I drove by this field several times, soaking it in, then thought, I gotta share this!!

  • :D I like the brightness of the flower. I have one growing outside my house thanks to some squrell.

Thanks for sharing it too! ^_^

  • when I was in Utah a while ago, we got to this place in the middle of nowhere on a hill, and all you could see was fields of sunflowers growing wild as far as the eye could see, it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
