Parrosenqvist - I agree with the statement, but f1 simulators on consoles are never going to be close to life, as they encourage 'fun' and overtaking. PC simulators, you can make have turbulence etc quite easily.
Today´s f1 simulators are so flawed. It´s way too easy to overtake and there isn´t even a dirty line on the track. How come it´s so easy to drive a f1 car in a simulator and so hard in real life? The programmers should hire ex. f1 drivers before even attempting to make a f1 simulator. I have big hopes for codemasters upcoming f1 simulator but will probably be dissapointed on that one as well!
lol, i guess you have never heard of rfactor then. There is a large difference between a simulator, and a game, codemasters make games ;)
rFactor is like a flight sim, can only be used with a wheel, only made for pc, and extremely and genuinely difficult. Takes many hours of practice just to get top 15 in an online race.
But yes, no matter how you put it no simulation or game will ever 100% accurately simulate real life. So we just have to make do with what we have :)
