damn that sucks, here you can get your permit when you are 15 which means you have to drive with someone with a license. Then you have it for 6 months and you can get your license
if you get it when your 16 you have to have it for 1 year and drive for at least 120 hours. if you get it when your 17 or older you only need to do the 120 hours.

Im going to be even more of an advertisement.... I got a photography assessment to do today and what we've gotta do is get mass produced food items [or in my case, beverages] and we've got to manipulate them and transform them to something like a huge billboard.
I'm suprised they allowed you to use headphones, I heard a story that when I friend of mine went for his learners test they failed him cause he was wearing headphones cause his MP3 player had the answers spoken on them.
the headphones were actually connected to the computer and they were reading the questions to me, so i could listen and read at the same time so i dont make any mistakes while reading [which was my main problem when i did the practice tests, i'd read the question too quickly]
im 15 going to try and get my learners in september

I took the WA test a while back. I was amazed that I did so well without studying or know that much about AU laws.
