  • Cyberman: Then you will be deleted. *kills*

Basil: THIS IS EXACTLY HOW NAZI GERMANY STARTED!

  • I love how the sound tracks over lap, THAT's what makes this work.

  • What a stupid idea, really. Why would anyone want to spoil such a masterpiece?? Did they think they're smarter and funnier than John Cleese???

  • ...THIS IS EXACTLY HOW NAZI GERMANY STARTED!

    Brilliant editing! <3

  • LOL.

  • BRILLIANT!!!!!

  • was this an actual doctor who episode? which one?

  • @nov3019892008 It's not an actual episode, just clips edited together, though it is very well done. The clips are from Dr Who Series 2 episodes: School Reunion, Rise of the Cybermen/Age of Steel. Not 100% sure on the Fawlty Towers episodes but there's definitely clips from Waldorf Salad, Gourmet Night and a few others in there.

  • Cybermen run away...I would too....

  • You will be DELETED!

  • That was incredable! U made the 2 shows link 2gether PERFECTLY!

  • Lol, I love it! Very good editing - it really does look as if the Doctor and Rose are in Fawlty Towers! Well done! :D

  • Sometimes I would just love to go all Basil Fawlty on the customers at work. I would if i thought I wouldn't get fired.

Absolutely love the video, by the way!

  • I don't know how much you could make out of it, but I would love to see a Dalek and Manuel having an argument.

"We have veef vheal or shaughaghes." "...CLARIFY!" "...Que?"

  • Cybilmen!

  • brilliant just brilliant

  • Not to shabby=)

  • brilliant

  • OMG! That was the greatest! Puts any of my ideas to shame.

LOL! John Cleese yelling at Cybermen. Perfect!

  • Great editing!

  • This "show" was very appropriate considering John Cleese made a cameo in the Dr Who episode 'City of Death'. So now the Doctor sort of makes a cameo. LOL! I would love to do something similar. Sorry if this comment is duplicated but I see no sign of my other comment.

  • Very appropriate considering John Cleese made a cameo in an episode of Doctor Who back in the 80's! 'City of Death' the one where the Doctor and Romona are in Paris. I've always wanted to be able to take some of my favorite TV shows and edit them to make a whole new story! Of course there's an episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nine that does that with the 'The Trouble With Tribbles' episode.

  • i loved the ending, the nazi bit so funny! :)

  • brilliant editing it was just brilliant i cant stop watching it

  • fawlty certainly told the cybermen =D

  • How did you resist the temptation to include Bernard Cribbins? he was in both.

  • I should have included him but it's finding the scenes that fit. You think as to what connects both.

    Kitchen scene, tick.

    Chips, tick.

"Doctor and I want sausages", tick.

Then it's finding the appropriate reactions.

  • That's true actually. Hmm, while on the subject, how about this: Geoffrey Palmer in The Kipper and the Corpse saying "these sausages are off" follwed by him in "The Silurians" collapsing and dying.

  • Now that's a good one. That would be hilarious. In fact something like that is what they do in that "Family Guy" comedy where they use flashback or what-if moments.

  • @martinbizarro I consider this canon. He was a doctor who wanted sausages before he became permanent under-secretary.

  • @martinbizarro Yeah, besides the new show and Fawlty Towers, Cribbins was in the movie Daleks Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D. ----if you count that as a real Doctor Who movie.

  • @martinbizarro Really? What episode?

  • @CardClashersHub - the hotel inspectors. A totally different character from Wilf, but perfectly done. Hmm, why won't youtube let me link to another youtube video?

  • @martinbizarro OHH! It was him was it? He looks so different! :D

  • @CardClashersHub - well it *was* 30+ years ago!

  • Very nicely done! What was with that last scene? Had basil gone crazy or something?

  • A result of the guy putting him in his place at 2:30

  • He'd quit running the hotel, walked out and booked in as a guest.

  • absolutely the best from 03:00 onwards

  • Absolute genius!!! I love the editing so much in this, it's got really good comic timing! Definitely one of the best crossovers ever! 5 stars, yay!!! :D

  • Wow, thankyou for the comment.

  • You are very welcome! :D Great video once again! :D

  • Yes, the intercutting on this is really well done.

  • I know! I wish I could do intercutting like that! :D

  • omg...cybermen at fawlty towers!!! can i write a fanfiction about that???

  • Yeah, why not. You can guarantee it's probably never been done before.

there are so many dr who crossovers now, and this one is definately one of the very best!

    *cough*monty python next*cough*

  • brilliant, just brilliant well done on the editing =)

  • Thankyou for the comment

  • Leave it to Basil Faulty to send the cybermen packing! XD

  • Yep, he saved the day. To the Doctor's chagrin.

  • i quite enjoyed this,you have done a good job.thanks.

  • Thankyoy for the comment

  • wow amazing! heh love it! :) xxxxx

  • Thanks for the comment

  • That is absolutely amazing. The way you merged the two series and the episodes, bloody brilliant, I tell you. Who knew Doctor Who and Fawlty Towers were such a fit? :)

  • Wow. Thanks for the comment. I didn't think they'd fit either. The Rise of the Cybermen episode is probably the closest match.

  • Made my day make more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow. Thanks for the comment. I've got other crossovers on my channel. I'm just now thinking of doing a Doctor Who and 24 crossover.

  • Oh my god. That ias acctually legendary wow that is just so amazing!!! Made my morning complete!! :D

    5 * and faves!! :)

  • Wow. Thanks. I'm happy it made your morning complete.

  • Excellent!

It made me laugh so much lol

Fawlty Towers and Doctor who clips fit really well together 2!

Great job 5* and faved :)

  • Thanks for the comment. The hotel setting does limit the scope a bit.

  • Fantastic!

Well edited and it all slots together so well XD

  • Thanks for the comment. Slotting it together comes naturally sometimes.

  • this is so funny 5 stars from me

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • Hilarious!

  • Cool. Thanks

  • God, with the cybermen in the scene, that is so Basil Fawlty how he reacts to them. Interestingly, both John Cleese and Andrew Sachs (Manuel) have been involved with Doctor Who--John Cleese had a cameo role in City of Death (as a art gallery visitor) and Andrew Sachs voiced a role in the 5th Doctor audio The Boy that Time Forgot (but I'm not telling you who he played--It's a surprise).

  • Yep, Basil Fawlty saves the day. I've seen him in City of Death, didn't know Andrew Sachs had been in a audio adventure. Don't tell me he plays a young Doctor.

  • He's not playing a young Doctor, but I feel like if I reveal what role Andrew Sachs played, it would be a spoiler.

  • "I'm a doctor, and I want my sausages." And the Doctor snickers at that comment.

  • that is my favorite part.

  • In a word, brilliant! 5 stars!

  • Wow, thanks. Credit must be given to you for the idea of using Fawlty Towers.

  • you are completely welcome. this vid is just a perfect, perfect thing. :D

  • lol yh its ace innit!

  • yup! it's completely brilliant!

  • so how are you anyways

  • lol

  • Yes that was good. Loved it. Fawlty Towers and Who.. what more could you ask for:)

  • Thankyou for the comment. It was quite hard to connect Who with Fawlty Towers because of the hotel setting.

  • ah but you did an excellent job:)
