@elfynlied have you looked at the videos on my chescalocs channel? i just did an updo that works on medium length hair that might work. if you send me a photo i could give better advice. aside from that, you could also try pipe cleaner curls and then just pin the curls up on top of your head and maybe add a flower or something. very simple, but the curls will make it look really sophisticated. best of luck!

i use jamacian mango and lime but recently ive been using organic root stimulator because i just moved and the hair supply place here doesn't carry jamacian mango and lime

to get dreads does it matter what texture hair you have to have. or just anybody can have dreads and if so how long your hair have to be? i did a bc jul 29 and i'm 3months nature and i want dreads. is it possible for me?

Maybe on a very rare occasion is a "loctician" needed (extreme damage, breakage, etc...) But on a regular basis is would say it's a waste of money. I have always done my hair myself and gotten plenty of good feed back in my 8 years of locin and requests to do other peoples hair. Youtube tutorials have been a big help too!!

That can be true in some instances, depending on the locing method & or maintenance and what is used to feed your mane and scalp. It also depends on your reasons and inspiration for starting locs...for a lot of people its just a "hairstyle" and for many its identity, its spiritual...
