The Mets/Phillies series this season were some of the most exciting baseball I have seen since high school. And yeah, some Mets fans can be a bit obnoxious; so can we though. Who would you rather have as a rival, Braves Nation? *snort*
I hope this is the beginning of a long, bitter hateful rivalry. That's what makes sports fun. Especially with two cities oh so close together. ;)

However, despite this, some guys were absolutely great. David Wright had one hell of a year with an untimely slump, and despite this budding rivalry, he was an A+, incredibly classy player who you can't help but root for, no matter who your team is.
So hey, I hope to see the Mets next year. The Phillies haven't had a true rival for a long, long while. We need our Lex Luthor to our Superman, Giants to our Dodgers, Soviet Union to America.

Why, the Phillies!
To be completely honest, I have nothing against Mets fans, but the attitudes of some of the players/management chafed me the wrong way from what I had read.
