  • Does anyone know the title of this music? And also the type of instrument? The music is amazing... :-)

  • @leonalwt The instrument is called santor or santour

  • @avetikyan Oh I see.. thanks. :)

  • @leonalwt the instrument is called santur and the name of the piece is hava nagila (let us rejoice).

    have a great day

  • @shedmeraked I see I see.. I'm gonna try finding the piano piece and play it. Hee.. thanks! :)

  • Am Israel Chai. Thanks for posting this beautiful version of Hava nagilah...I love the sound of Santoor.

  • @tahdig I love your name, lol. Tahdig is tha bomb and so is this song.

  • the melody of the second part i already know.... but how its called?

  • why dont they have cool break dancing jews in the back ground?

  • can anyone tell me the name of this song please?

  • the only jewish melody I know is Hava Nagila and that doesn't sound like it

  • Don't you distinguish the Nagila Havana in Performed Tamourine ? I

  • first part is Persian

  • fantastic talent,great video 5*****

  • Wow as soon as you started playing Hava Nagila it seems the crowd became a little more talkative. It seems like you struck a chord with them. No pun intended.

  • Kike and proud!

  • I like it. Very nice instrument, never heard before.

  • It is called a "sintur" my friend glad that you like it, it is a sa instrument, every iranian listening to it will start to cry at the end cause we think that the beauty it is a part of sadness!!!

  • beautiful!:)

    thank you!

  • hava nagila :-) 5*****

  • I love santoor and I love this well known Jewish music, kheyli ziba :-) ♥

  • Me too.

    But I play keaborad..

  • awsome

  • jews... lol

  • jews are loved by jesus

  • whats the name of that instrument? kanoon?

  • its called santoor and the difference is the tool which its played with cuz ghanoon is played with little mini finger rings sorta or even finger nails itself. and ghanoon is held either held on the legs or a special table where as santoor is never placed on the legs.

  • It's Hava Nagila!

  • i want to give birth to this guy

  • these things are hard to just play if you've never done it before---I tried one at a shop the other day

  • doesnt seem you know much about Iran, except for what you heard on CNN...

Zionism is not well-received in Iran, true.

    but JEWS are not "banned"

A Jew is not necessarily a Zionist.

A last but not least: Jewish music, or music in general, this tune... has nothing to do with Zionism. it's about culture and its about being beautiful.

    watch less of those news...

  • POINTMAN

Watch less Fox News you retard.

  • Get rid of Ahmadinedjad, stop your nuclear weapons program.

  • "But it's a peaceful nuclear program! We blow you up and we hug you!" Maz Jobrani

    LOL

  • We'll see who will be laughing in the end ._.

  • Are you finished trolling yet?

  • you're a loser.

  • obviously not aimed at the artist.

  • @POlNTMAN Shut up ! I'm a jewish Iranian. We live freely there!

  • @POlNTMAN How can a JEW be banned?! There is a healthy and thriving Jewish community in Iran, who are protected by the Iranian constitution. I am by no means saying our government is ideal - but to dismiss the entire Iranian nation as anti-Semitic is fallacious.

@avetikyan - You speak very good Persian for someone who isn't even Parskahye! :))

  • @POlNTMAN Jews have a place in the Iranian parliament by law.

  • @POlNTMAN The pastor at my mega church in Texas and Fox News don't lie. There are no Jews in Iran, Palestinians invaded Israel because they are evil and they hate Jews, there are weapons of mass destruction buried somewhere in Iraq, global warming is a conspiracy and the earth is 6000 years old. oh and leprichans grant you wishes.

  • great sounding instrument and a very popular tune. What is the name of this tune?

  • The second tune is called hava naglia, dunno the first, sounds a bit like a murice jarr song from the film the message !!

  • nice playing----jews undercover!

  • Wow, amazing instrument !! I have to get one !!

  • Oh ! and excellent music it is too !

  • It's called a Santur. :D my uncle plays it.

  • Why does your uncle pretend to be a Jew?

  • SHUT UP PEOPLE AND ENJOY THE FUSION OF A JEWISH TUNE(only second part of song) AND THE BEAUTY OF A PERSIAN INSTRUMENT

p.s. the first part is classical persian tune and a wedding tune as well

  • exactly! thank you very much for the nice comment. I did not put this up for discussions of the origin of the Santour, although it is ok, but as long as people differentiate between the TUNE and the MUSICAL instrument.

    lets enjoy

  • Comment removed

  • I believe the santoor originated in India.

  • probably you are right, I dont really know, to be honest

  • I believe the Santur is native to Iran. Check the wiki article on that. It's not really surprising given the great move east by Iranianized turks for the past 1000 years, forming many kingdoms, culminating to the Mughal empire. The language of their courts was Persian and they followed persian customs and traditions. The effects of this episode can be seen in Indian architecture (taj mahal), cuisine (naan, samosa, biryani...), literary tradition, martial arts, music, etc...

  • this is Iranian santoor

  • how about the TUNE?! midooni: MUSIGHI chie? yani ye chizi qe be oun GUSH midim? :) in, bavar qonid, Yahudi e

  • t instrument is belongs iranian!!!not juwes

  • I am speaking about the tune, the music, not the instrument.

  • Jews are Iranian too.... Helloooo

  • The name of the instrument is "Santur" (سنتور) The name means one hundred strings in Persian.

  • huh, thanks! but wait.. 100 in Persian is "sad" ... is it some kind of evolution of the word 'sad tar' ?

  • what is that instrument? It sounds amazing

  • oh, to be honest, I dont know the name of the instrument

  • name of the instrument chang in uzbek or tajik language
