@pancakewafflebacon It doesn't equal a more accurate emulation, if what you're emulating is comparatively crappy audio. Bit crushers, for example, destroy a sound by down sampling to give it an old school 8-bit/16-bit feel.  They don't make the sound more clear. Only when working with actual chip tunes, and not fake chip tunes, do you ever want perfect rendering quality.
