  • That's one of those nba live dunks

  • Haha. They added 2 points as soon as kobe got that pass.

  • Canada wouldn't even be bad if our players actually played for us...this last qualifying tournament Nash, magloire, dalembert, tristan thompson, Matt bonner (best 3pnt shooter in Nba wasn't given citizenship in time) and a bunch of up and comming NCAA players didn't even play for us... And the reason is Canada's government won't spend a dime on anything but hockey....I mean that's why Canada had leo rautins as their coach for so long because all they had to pay him was a sandwhich each game.

  • thunderous ??!

  • @FolkloreHymn it´s the man of travelling

KOBE VS LEBRON THE DUEL OF THE TRAVELS

    XD

  • @FolkloreHymn jw man but does nash play for canada? he shud lol we may actly win a game

como coño lo querais llamar pero eso no se puede hacer!!!

  • tht aint no tomahawk shaq could do tht

  • @damien4697 ya but u couldnt..

  • Ok lol.... pause the video where he first catches the ball. He's between the half court and 3 point line. From that point to the basket, count how many times he bounced the ball.

  • that was a great pass, how come no one mentioned it

  • lebron exit from this body!!!!!!

  • Not even close to thunderous

  • thx kobe...thx for doin that to my country haha

  • how the hell did canada manage to score?

  • @Jakiirod steve nash

  • sweet underhanded pass by Melo

  • his wrist must hurt so bad

  • 4 steps...

  • momma there goes that man... ups i mean travel

  • Momma there goes that man lol

  • Bill Walton was so excited!!!

  • as a canadian can i say one thing..... WE HAVE A BBALL TEAM?????

  • @Airbear12321 ROFL! You have some young ballers though. Tristan Thompson out of Texas, drafted by the Cavs this year is from Toronto. He can ball

  • @Airbear12321 Toranto

  • @Ramirezr16 who canadian on that team?

  • @Airbear12321 Probably no one but its a Canada city based team :)

  • @Ramirezr16 i live in canada. i know where toronto is... ps its not spelt with an a. lol but what im saying is how many good canadain bball players are there... nash.,.. thats all i can think of

  • @Airbear12321 search andrew wiggins possibly a first overall draft pick hes canadian. Canadas basketball is actually improving

  • poor Canada

  • kobe traveled

  • @MightyGentleman no it wasnt

  • @MightyGentleman You're fucking stupid.

  • @rjkahlon kobe traveled

  • @MightyGentleman Its obvious what you're trying to do and you're failing at it. If you look closely, you can see that Lebron and Wade are overrated and untalented.

  • @rjkahlon kobe traveled

  • @rjkahlon

lol, they both are faster, stronger, scores more than kobe..hahahha

  • is the tomahawk a dead dunk now?

  • it's not a travel he just does more steps with 1 dribble

  • this is a travel in the NBA but since this is FIBA he can do that

  • @MrPreppy22 LOL!!!!!!! In NBA there are no strict rules for travelling! I have seen videos from guys taking 4 steps and then dunk and the speaker is like " OH MY GOODNESS!" . In FIBA there are strict rules for travelling but somehow these rules...don't have an effect on Americans....it has to be a coincidence...

  • nice dunk but that´s travel with FIBA rules

  • 3 steps before bouncing the ball- travel but still kobe's a beast.

  • press 4 to be satisfied

  • he traveled

  • not a travel. learn to count

  • @MrPhillyrick1 and you should learn the FIBA rules,he gets the ball steps twice and then starts bouncing

  • @carlosvillovela1992 shut up...faggot!

  • Haha he traveled as soon as he got the ball and another travel before the dunk.

  • @zachabend A travel before the dunk? that was clearly two steps at the end. he dribbles as he lands his left leg, grabs the ball and takes two steps which is perfectly legal. you can't travel if you don't have two hands on the ball or haven't stop the dribble yet. once you place two hands (or stop dribbling) on the ball you get two steps.

  • @fmcneillii We're clearly not watching the same video.

  • @zachabend yes we. Pause at 11 seconds does kobe have possesion (full control grabbing it one or two handed) of the ball as he is placing that left foot that I talked about? ABSOLUTELY not! The ball is still in the act of being dribbled. He grabs the ball after the foot has been planted and takes his two steps. watch again. 12 seconds clearly show him about to plant his right leg before he even grabs hold of the ball.

  • @fmcneillii yes we are*

  • @fmcneillii No we're not. You're watching "Baby" by Justin Bieber. Sure, the song is catchy but that's not what I'm talking about.

  • take that canada!

  • lol its hardly fair that the us got to play canada... give canada a crappy team that they mite have a chance against

  • Kobe airball

  • is this fiba or 08 olympics??????????

  • sorry people, this is NOT a travel

  • its a travel, but who cares anymore

  • technically its a travel, but this is a common play, they make an exception when the player dunks off two feet. his last dribble negates the first step he takes after, so if anything it would be three steps, but he jumped off two feet. refs have been lettin this go for yearssss...

  • You have to have both hands on the ball for it to be a travel. Or not in dribbling motion. He grabbed the ball took a one bounce dribble then took a step put both hands on the ball then dunked. That's not a travel. What basketball are you watching?

  • @T82486 shut up. "his last dribble negates the first step he takes" direct quote from my comment you responded to.

  • Humiliated =0

  • Now a days its not a travel..

  • Nice dunk but did he travel before he dunked it

  • and they, are satisfied

  • LeBron didnt do shit on the usa team for real

  • I love Kobe,but it's a travel!4 clear steps!

  • @MistaArni it wasn't even close. it's was a very clean play. lol.

  • ya,lebron's travel is worse

  • and they........are satisfied.

  • it wasn't a monster dunk but hey

  • MADDDD TRAVEL, KOBE PACK A SUITCASE IF UR GONNA TRAVEL THAT FAR

  • @BroNatty QFT. Cry more.

  • I love to see the USA kick Canada's ass in basketball LOL

  • you cant say its not as bad as lebrons travels a travel is a travel idiot.

  • lebron wudve traveled.

  • some ball

  • Canada sucks!!!!!!!

  • PCC9 is some fucking foreign rule reader USA USA USA USA fuck you PCC9 go suck some Italian bball players nuts

  • FUCK YOU

I live in Los Angeles (born here) I've been a Laker fan since I was 7 in '96 when the Lakers SUCKED and am a HUGE kobe fan so you can suck my dick BITCH.

A travel is a travel. Period.

  • @PCC9 pretty fucking sure the lakers still didnt suck in 96 so i think your full of shit because you would know that if you were a fan since then, fuckin glen rice, shaq, and eddie jones even when kobe was young. but im sure you dont know who glen rice or eddie cuz ur ignorant just like the fact that you think this is a travel. like this isnt even fucking close. and plus if there is star treatment that's in the nba and this is international the olympics you stupidfuck and theyll call it right

  • @rfoster14 The lakers didn't suck in '96, they just weren't THAT good and didn't win squat. Wow what a great record! That's around what the Mavs got this year! Guess what? Doesn't mean SHIT.

It IS a travel. EVERYONE but you agrees that it's a travel. One guy said that they didn't call a travel because it's a break-away and they might as well give him the basket and another said it's because of star treatment. Kobe had a similar play in the final against Spain....

  • @PCC9 and dont even say anything they went 56-26 in 96 (that's a 50 win season) so your dumb and yes it is a jumpstop/ hopstep so shut the fuck up not even questionable your a soccer fan you probably know the rules of that but that is all you fucking know.

  • @rfoster14 The ENTIRE spanish bench got up calling for a travel and when Kobe dunked it the crowd booed and many of the fans could be seen doing the travel hand gesture. Guess what? Refs didn't call it. Why? Because it's Kobe Bryant. In other words, star treatment IN international competition. There goes your stupid theory that it's only in the NBA.

And that was one HELL of a jumpstop. You're supposed to land with both feet at the same time. JUMP. STOP. But look at right before Kobe dunks...

  • @PCC9 See. It's hard for me to believe you when you make up shit your a fucking moron there were no boos that i heard at all. it was clapping and cheering. and your a fuckin retard how do u know the ENTIRE spanish bench got up u stupidass there not shown in this entire video and ur a faggot u didnt watc

  • @rfoster14 First off I appreciate you calling me a faggot and all these names. Speaks volumes as to your maturity level. I play college ball, and that would be a travel no questions asked. Where exactly do you play where that wouldn't be called a travel? In the park somewhere?

Uh, I know the entire spanish bench got up because I uh, SAW the FUCKING game. Watch the highlights here on youtube, it's probably here.

  • @PCC9 hahahaha where do u play college ball? junior college division 3? hows your farmington community college ball team goin? I know your full o shit with that cuz if u were a real ball player you wouldnt be on youtube talkin about star treatment and how david stern is out to help the lakers and cavs win the championship. Only morons that don't know basketball do that.

  • @rfoster14 Sorry, I don't play in a Community College. Funny you hate on them though, considering you probably couldn't graduate/transfer from one if you tried.

Also, I LIVE IN Los Angeles. I'm the biggest Kobe fan you would find. I have 7 of his jerseys. Some with the #8, Team USA jerseys, and an All-Star jersey. I'm a huge fan of his and my favorite player to study, but if he traveled, he traveled. Doesn't make me a hater if I call it out.

  • @rfoster14 My coach would laugh if I told him someone called me a "moron who doesn't know basketball." Hell, our rival-school would get a good laugh out of it too. Even I got a good chuckle out of it. No need to crack jokes kid, your way of writing is a great joke by itself.

Look dude, it's a travel. If you can't see it, you'll NEVER come close to playing D1 ball because THERE, they DO call traveling. In this play, they didn't. WHY they didn't is up to you to decide.

  • @rfoster14 ....the ball. His left foot is in front of his right. So that means it's not a jumpstop. Problem with the play is that he planted his right foot in front of the left (so that's two steps without dribbling) and THEN he moves his left foot in front of the right to get in position to jump.

Only problem is that moving the left foot again is a third step. 3 steps = travel. It's obvious why it wasn't called: "the fans want a throwdown." Star-treatment.

  • @PCC9 okay ive got 4 or 5 points for you 1) it doesn't matter its a fastbreak w/ no1 near him 2) its not star treatment i could do that and they wouldnt call a travel 3) for the 2nd time its internatonal basketball so if anything the refs are against the U.S. 4) i see the 3 steps your talking about it goes left right left but the first left he still gathering the ball ie i could dribble once and then take 15 steps down the whole court w/o touching the ball and then grab it and dunk it no travel

  • @PCC9 and 5) even if he did have the ball in possession on the first left step, his next 2 "steps" came down at basically the same time. Listen to me. If you told this to anyone who watches basketball they would laugh in your face. Every fuckin player in the NBA and global basketball does a jumpstop w/o their feet coming down at the exact same time. Obviously when you fuckin look at it in slow motion your gonna see the difference shirlock.

  • @rfoster14 They came down BASICALLY at the same time? Well that's just it. They have to come down AT the same time. It's a travel. True, players do that all the time, but what do people say all the time when they see a player do that? "Hey it's the NBA, they don't call traveling here." NBA players get away with it in international competition too.

They are conceding that, yeah it's a travel, but the refs just don't call it. The reasons range, but star-treatment is usually it. There you go.

  • @PCC9 and how is that i have a fucking theory that star treatment doesnt apply to international basketball. you act like im trying to prove star treatment in the olympics doesn't happen. that's assumed by everybody. So i don't have a fucking theory that star treatment doesn't apply in the olympics. You have a stupid fucking theory that it does.

  • @rfoster14 It's the olympics. Even more so, it's BASKETBALL. People want to see great players making great plays. Most people don't know rules, Phil's triangle, boxing-out, etc. "The fans want a throw-down, and they are satisfied."

What I saw is a player catching the ball midcourt, on a break-away, and then dunk. But, he only took 2 dribbles and traveled right before he jumped. It wasn't called. Then I saw that it was Kobe and the crowd was going crazy BEFORE the dunk. Make ur own conclusion.

  • that's not even a travel -_-

    gather, then 2 steps.

  • How is that a travel? You must be a canadian idiot to think thats traveling.

  • they wouldnt call a travel because when its a breakaway like that its pretty much a guaranteed bucket. no point wasting the time of the players and the fans by calling something that unnecessary.

  • come on dude that's bs.

It's only a guaranteed bucket if you follow the rules. Traveling is against the rules and it should've been called.

  • its not bs. thats what referees are told to do.

  • so ur telling me that if a player steals the ball behind the 3 point line and basically runs like a football player without dribbling and does a dunk the refs aren't supposed to call that?

  • he still dribbled. and there was nobody even close to him. if you don't like it, take it up with the nba. its pretty stupid that you would take something so seriously. everyone has this applied to them. the referees don't bother calling it cause it would make the crowd and the players unhappy, which will eventually result in something that the nba will lose profit from, cause thats all they want. money. is that so hard to believe?

  • @PCC9 that wasent a travel you idiot.... not even close learn the rules of basketball before u post shit like this..

  • that IS traveling BECAUSE: he took 2 steps when he first catches the ball, and then 3 steps after.

You are NOT allowed to take two steps UNLESS you've dribbled. You can't catch the ball and then take two steps. That IS a travel, look it up. Shame the pro's aren't called on that.

And after he picks up his dribble he takes 3 steps. One big one and two little ones to jump. 3 steps is traveling in any league.

    Haters.

  • he took a dribble before he took his 2 steps idiot and have you ever heard of a jump stop?? its allowed, have you ever played basketball before? pprobably not .. this isnt travel anyone whos played basketball at middle school level would know this.

  • When 'Melo passes him the ball, he takes two steps before his first dribble.

And that was NOT a jump stop. You're supposed to jump as soon as you dribble, so that you "jump" while the ball is going up and then land with BOTH feet at the SAME time. Kobe doesn't really ever "jump" until he dunks. The problem was that he took 3 steps.

Look at it live. You're crazy if you think that's a jump stop. Count the number of steps he takes after he stops dribbling. 3.

  • that is no travel when kidd throws him the ball he puts the ball down and takes a step just because the ball hasent hit the floor yet before he takes off dosent make it a travel. also his final 2 steps wasent a travel at all.

  • Oh god....

You guys seriously believe that a guy can get across HALFCOURT and DUNK while taking only ONE dribble and have it NOT be a violation? Please.

I like Kobe myself (Laker fan in LA) but some of you fanboys crack me up.

  • yeah hes 6 foot 7 and a proffesional athlete and 1 of the top 2 best basketball players in the world. Hes very tall and very fast he dosent need very many dribbles to get down court. watch his feet its not a travel.. your an idiot to think so get a life and stop hating.. this is not even close to a travel.

  • Actually he's 6' 5'' 1/2, but whatever. He is the best basketball player in the world. But come one, ONE dribble? I can see WHY the ref didn't call it (it is Kobe after all) but to say that it wasn't even CLOSE to a travel is just wrong.

If Kobe wasn't Kobe, it would've been 50/50. There's no way a ref is going to blow the whistle in an international competition when Kobe Bryant has a breakaway with half a court all to him. Sad, really.

  • @PCC9 your wrong you just watch kobe cause every1 just watched kobe you could probably say same thing on other players 2. dosent matter if he takes 1 dribble and goes full court he only took 2 steps

  • @PCC9 hey dumb ass learn your shit kobe is 6'6 he caught the ball and took a dribble and dunked it stop whining over a fucking fastbreak why dont you go suck a basketball coach's dick and ask him for the rules

  • y dont u go suck tupac's dick. hopefully u dont do it too good or his crew might rape u too.

  • as a ref, sometimes you have to use common sense. he was on a one-on-none fast break, the travel (it was a travel) was meaningless to the play. besides, when is traveling ever called anymore? get over it.

  • At least you ADMIT that it WAS a travel. THANK YOU lol

true traveling is rarely called, unless it's painfully obvious. In this case, it's painfully obvious. You can say that it was meaningless to the play, but what if you're on the other team? You wouldn't call giving up two easy points "meaningless," would you?

I mean yeah rules are bent and twisted but don't abuse it. And they didn't call a travel because it was "meaningless to the play," they didn't call it because it was Kobe.

  • meh, i disagree. i think anyone at this level would've gotten away with it. i can't really prove it, but either can you. agree to disagree?

  • watch?v=4ff67nI-5cc

I just proved it. Plus, star players DO get "star treatment" in which they can get away with more than things than the "average" player. To that I would agree, I'm saying fine, but if you're just plain abusing the rules, you should get called on it.

This was a travel, and LeBron's "crab dribble" go beyond bending and twisting the rules.

  • i'm confused, you showed me a video of lebron getting called for traveling and that's supposed to prove that star players get "star treatment"? besides, you would need to show me a video of a non-star doing what kobe did in this video to actually prove your point.

  • They do get star treatment because 9 times out of 10, that would NOT be called a travel. Even plays far worse than that are not called for traveling.

    watch?v=Di32bEogZpw

And lmao you swear they're going to have a video of a non-star player getting called for traveling here on utube. All I know is that it has happened before and if you don't think there is such a thing as "star treament" you're insane.

"i think anyone at this level would've gotten away with it." Anyone who's an ALL-STAR maybe

  • there's star treatment, but i associate that with foul calls. lebron or kobe gets the call seemingly before they're even touched. but with traveling, no, i think its just not called at all in the NBA.

  • And for the record, I was MVP of my school district in 8th grade and made the Senior team as a Sophomore, but thanks for asking.

I suppose you think Lebron's Crab Dribble is legal too, since it's essentially the same thing. Idiot.

  • @Raayn07 your an idiot and dont play basketball if you think thats a travel...

  • u stink

  • Yeah he traveled but if it was Lebron we all know he wouldnt have dribbled. Come on be fair am I right?

  • @muteol that wasn't travel fool...you need to learn the fundamentals of the game.

  • after bill walton said "they," he paused to pull down his pants and as he was saying "are satisfied," he was fingering his own anus.

  • hhaha, holy shit vinniebello that was funny

  • @vinniebello lmfaoo that is so fuckin random i just pissed myself

  • @vinniebello omg, that's the best comment i've seen in a while

  • Come on Bill Walton, what is that? "They... are satisfied"

  • that wasn't AI, it was melo

  • o good call

  • The commentator seemed so enthusiastic..... "And they are satisfied."

  • lol, yeah, they should cut down his sugar intake

  • that aint travel.. he was in motion duh!

  • he didn't travel before the dunk. when he got the ball he traveled, but everyone in the NBA does that so i don't think i'd really consider it a travel

  • Yeah, but this isn't the NBA.. The refs should call that.

  • what does calling it or not have to do with the nba? have you watched the traveling that goes on in euro ball?

  • but LeBron's travel is worse ..

  • lmao, you obviously haveb't seen young Kobe's game dunk. He would facial and poster everybody.

  • @8AllDaY24 I don't want kobe jizz on my face!!

  • you must not know left from right

    kobe invented the lift off

  • you dumbass what kind of comeback is that

your an idiot cuz kobe can fly period.

  • hahaha little kid grow up

  • ur dumb as fuck

  • Before he goes for the dunk he takes two steps and moves his leg a third time and jumps which isn't a travel. I'm not sure about when he got the ball though. Either way Kobe owned them.

  • Nope that's not travel it's only two steps

    Don't underestimate FIBA's refrees

  • i like kobe but that was a travel!

  • he does travel btw

  • i definitely just realized i have a poster of that slam in my room. haha

  • same here. from slam magazine.

  • wtf, no one was even around, it was a free basket and ppl are bitching about traveling still

  • that's travel xD

  • he went one step put his other foot in front (which makes 2 steps) and jumps

  • 0:04

  • USA. we destroy at Bball

  • i like how when carmello passes it he jus turns around like yup thats in

  • ive got tons of kobe bryant vids, if you like kobe bryant, check out my channel

  • i have that poster in my room. SLAM magazine got a picture of that from the baseline

    BADASS

  • yeah!!!

    me too!

but the only problem is that on the poster his legs look like theyre makin a right angle...

  • make that 7/25. 8/25 hasnt happened yet
