Thomas, Payton and Iverson are/were incredible and definitely elite players with Payton being at the bottom of that list... I don't rate Paul above Magic... at least not yet. Magic- with his sidekick Kareem had a run only rivaled by the Celtics in the 80's. Paul has not transcended the height which Magic attained... yet... but don't be surprised if he does. BEST in the league right now- and it's not really very close.

DOlt. Iverson isn't a pure point guard. Tony Parker shoots better and passes more than Iverson.

Isiah is probably the colsest to paul (or Stocton) but paul leads the league in assists almost every year.

and it seems to me that most of the time it looks like he isnt ever trying.

Im born and raised in New Orleans(9th ward) and im a big (CP3) fan but it seems like everytime the Hornets play the Jazz,D Williams always (beat) Chris Paul and the Hornets.Since Paul & D Will came out of the draft the Hornets are 2-7 against the Jazz.
