  • By the way the missile theory is quite easy to accept and in case that is really the case the government could perhaps hide it...But I think the theory being put up by NTSB is correct - it is a case of explosive fuel ignition.

The fact that there are no wiki leaks about it also supports the theory.

  • Flash point of just 38 C is scary - In many places the ambient temperature (at ground) could be higher than that; which means a fuel tank is like a bomb ready to explode - only thing needed is a spark.

  • What a load of shit!!!!!

If people paid more attention to the facts they would see that it was a bomb placed under a seat above the center fuel tank. Ramzi Yeusef designed the timer and trialed the bomb.

  • plane make in china scary me man..xD

  • @88anson88 Made in Seattle, indeed.

  • Disgusting.. who would put an electrical appliance next to a gas tank? Perhaps airline designers should have some lay people check their design plans for overlooking "common sense" . That's as bad as the 1998 Swiss air 111 plane crashing on the east coast of Canada.. again cause by flammable covering on electric wire! How dumb is that!

  • @suelizjohnson That "appliance" is used to measure the available gas on the thanks! Without that "appliance", it'd be impossible to know how much fuel is on the tank.

Lay people have no business designing planes.

  • the ending lmao sorry!!

  • Yeah, you have a degree in engineering and you became a flight attendant. Do you also have a bridge to sell me

  • I was a flight attendant for 10 years, though my degree is in engineering. NOT ONE pilot I know believed the official story. Not one 747 was grounded and new guidelines weren't installed until 2005? I'm sorry but I have questons.

  • at end there is a air crash investigation part

  • WHAT!! the ending was from the honolulu flight! This is such a sad story T_T

  • its been 13 years today since the crash

  • My father helped recover wreckage and bodies from this crash. Most of them were crab-eaten or badly decomposed. But thankfully those people likely died when the plane broke up, instead of having to ride it down to the water fully conscious.

  • What is the relevance of this now?

  • A tiny spark?

Thats probably the scariest thing i have ever heard, that a single spark can kill so many people when they should be safe.

    unbelievable.

  • it was something that should not never happen

  • scary and kind of mading to because it was someones lazyness if the maintenace

on that aircrafts wiring was not so lousy and kindergarniss the crash may of be pervented

  • I just feel like i wanna give the relatives a huge hug. It won't make much difference to their grief i no but I just feel so sad for them. Its just tragic :-(

  • 747's are the largest planes made from Boeing. It is very easy to overlook some of the plane's flaws let it be wiring or fuel or structure damage. I really hope that the FAA made sure that planes are inspected fully and thoroughly regularly. By that I mean like every month or week.

  • omg this means that all 747's are in a dangerous situation... im never gonna ride a 747 again lol

  • this was like a 747-100. Boeing is up to 747-400 going on 747-8. I think your gonna be ok lol

  • i think flt 800 was a 200

  • it was -100 series and I think that it was the 3rd B747 which was ever produced, so it was quite an old Aircraft..........

  • they've changed it so that all 747's are now fitted so that this can never happen again. so your ok

  • eletrical fire in fuel tank do to faulty wireing in a auther place.
