  • cool dude

  • Very well made! May i suggest increasing your draw length. This may be achieved by further tillering or getting better wood. If you live in england, ask your local Vicar at the church if you may have a branch of yew, or, find an ash tree and lop a thick stave from it. Ash is really common, take a look on google images for pics of ash seeds and then you will know what they look like :) Also, I would increase the length of the limbs, and shorten the riser.

They are never the less briliant, though

  • did chuck norris help make these by any chance?

  • man that so cool

  • Thats nice

  • They look great!

  • @kencroberts777 Thank you!

  • @kaziklu79 How difficult were these to make? Poundage on the draw? Length of draw? Im really interested! What sort of wood would you recommend?

  • great work , i want one!! sry for my english.

  • @tanabomb Thank you!

  • those are fucking awesome

  • @TheMiksu1998 Not so awesome, but thank you! :)

  • @kaziklu79 Yes they are awesome! ;D.. I could never make does keep it up :)

    Subbed.

  • it seem the handles are to long and the limbs to short to produce enough power, next time use a very short handle and longer limbs

  • @PeSi2007 The main problem was in the materials. Shorter limbs produce more power if they are made right.

  • ahahhahah fail!!!!!!!!

  • didn't seem powerful enough for hunting??? Bows look good though

  • @micmoable Thank you! They weren't powerful at all, but were my first attempt in bowmaking. If you're interested you can check some of my next videos.

  • @kaziklu79 okay--good luck on future models

  • @micmoable Thanks!

  • i've tried couple of times with bamboo simple bow, the power to draw is better then yours... maybe you should try on bamboo too... just share the thoughts....;))

  • @molceonly Check my other videos :)

  • you barley pull it

  • @gunman99XF Too fragile for longer drawing.

  • @kaziklu79 fair enough

  • Can you make a how-to-make video , please ??

  • @HeadShoot2010 I have only a photo camera and it's hard for me to make a detailed how-to video. If you want check my latest video and may be i'll make another one when i make my next bow.

  • @kaziklu79 if you have only a photocamera how did you possibly film this?

  • @firefortcut :) It makes short videos (up to 3 minutes) with relatively low quality which isn't enough for a good how-to video.

  • what material do you use for the limbs ?? please reply as i could use some advice.

  • @QSEFYJILP This was my first attempt and i used fir branches for the limbs, but after some tries i use now bed slats. Check my latest video if you need more details.

  • I made a homemade recruve bow out of 3 4 1/2 foot branches(cant really say a real one but the ends curved hehe) it was powerful enough to go at least 80-90 yards and kill small game like bunnys and squirrels around the nieghborhood.

  • @PebBleishRock Sounds good. You should make a vid.

  • NICE!!!

  • @watchmyvidsplease Thanks!

  • real nice

  • @richardarichter123 Thanks!

  • @kaziklu79 no prob, like the raw design simple but nice

  • @richardarichter123 They were my first attempt. I have some better ones now, but nothing special.

  • nide dude make some more pretty cool

  • @JAKEVIDSKILL Thanks! Check my other vids - i have more homemade bows shown.

  • those are better than mine

although im 11 and bored as crap but good job

  • @TheTheNinjaPoptart :) Thanks! These are my first attempt in takedown bows.

  • Nice For Your 1st Bows Dude Gratz!

  • @HomeMadeGunNut Thanks! I have better ones now, you can watch the vids.

  • Hey Kaziklu79 fuck them man your bows look great and for a first run they function!!! unless you have had years of experience making bows then I would not expect your first run to be beasts, they look aesthetically pleasing!!

  • @TheDudeRulez09 Thanks, Dude! :)

  • @kaziklu79 LOL.your funny man..those bows make me laugh LOL..hahaha crazy guy..

  • nice he has a slowmotion camera.......oh wait he doesnt. but nice bow for childeren :)

  • @nbombadil Thanks! These bows were my first try in bowmaking so you can't expect much from them.

  • @kaziklu79 those bows are pieces of shit.but there cool..nice job

  • @5tonyvvvv :D you're right

  • whats the draw wieght

  • @1x93cm Can't say - the bows in this old video were not powerful at all and i changed the design. The present bow is about 40-45# may be up to 50# when i pull it to its full draw, but the older bows were less then 20# i think.

  • u can tune this bow into compound bow

  • @airbase12345678 :) This will be hard to do.

  • @kaziklu79 it is easy to do just add a cam or wheel

  • @kaziklu79 it is easy to do just add cam or wheel wach my vid it is for u my vid name is cam for kaziklu79

  • you could use a lot of practice, but you surely have skills making a bow!

  • why dont you use the hazel for the limbs ? and could you show hou you do it ?

  • @sikke3 Because i've cut only one trunk from the hazel in our backyard and i don't intend to cut more for now. If i make a similar bow this summer i'll try to make a video. I plan to make recurve oak limbs, but am not sure whether i'll have the time for it.

  • great job, great looking bows..... and hats off to you for dealing with the haters.

  • @msumad311 Thank you! Glad you liked them. Take care!

  • how did you made it ? could you please tell me ? I am planning to make my self a bow like this !

  • @sikke3 just make sure that the grain goes the length of the bow and goes across it.

  • lol try oak from my experiences, it seems to stay pretty strong when drawn back

  • I wasn't able to find oak when making the bows - i was high in the mountain, pinewoods only :)

  • @kaziklu79 did you try finding oak brush?

  • @MrEhud77 I wasn't able to find a proper oak wood, but used a split in two pickaxe hanle to make the new limbs. You can see them in a new video. Sorry for the late reply, but just seen your comment.

  • Practice Shooting you suck at shooting.

  • Can't use a better form when shooting fragile bows which i don't know when will break.

  • Dude before making a take down bows you should try making a self bow and try to find out what kind of wood would be best to use for it. Nice try!!! But you need hell of alot of more practice.

  • @Hunter1000100

Yes, of course :) I've made some self bows (you can see them in other videos), but in my area is hard to find a really good wood for bowmaking and i use whatever i can find. The only osage i've ever seen in my country are in a park and it'll be quite funny to take a saw and start cutting in the center of the city :D

  • I'm saying this, because i'm thinking that when the limbs stretch, the band of rubber glued on the back of the limbs would add some resistance.

I'm new in the domain,I could be wrong

  • This is unique, I have never seen homemade takedown bows. Sure I have seen self-bows, backed and un-backed, horn bows, composite bows, but never this. They are beautiful for what they are. Do you know the draw weight?. They look good for Rabbit hunting anytime, good job!!

  • Thanks! Don't know the DW, i guess about 20lbs. These are my first attempts in take-down bows and were fun to make, but aren't good for hunting. If you watch a later video you'll see the other limbs i've made for the second bow - the last ones are of bamboo and are more powerful :)

  • maybe you should back them up

  • Yeah, it'd be good, but i can only use fiberglass.

  • how 'bout ...rubber ? like that used in bicycle air chambers?

  • I doubt it. The limbs back isn't flat enough, because i've made them with an axe and a knife and can't glue anything but fiberglass cloth. Now i think the best limbs for the second bow are simple bamboo ones-you can see them in another video.

  • Yeah,ur right.

I'll just glue the rubber after I've flatten the limbs with some fiber glass :)

Thanks for the answers. You've been really helpful

  • You're welcome! If you're interested in bowmaking see the videos of bowstickarchery(i'm subscribed for them), he's a proffesional and has a lot of tips.
