Im pursuing my PhD in environmental Justice and Environmental Racism, cheers to trying to make this more mainstream. Alot of people dont understand there is an actual term for targeting minority groups with environmental pollution. Cheers for allowing more people to understand.
Oh please..... as if there are no white people who live in poverty and all poor minorities keep their own neighborhoods neat as a pin? Hardly. How 'bout starting closer to home and clean up all the home-brew meth labs that turn adults into welfare zombies, or criminals, and pose an immediate and life-long danger to their children - no matter what color they are.
My video is a good example of environmental racism. I would even call it environmental terrorism. Some public housing constructed in the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s were constructed on toxic waste dumps and landfills. The death rates in these neighborhoods defy explanation. Today, much of that public housing is being destroyed under HUD HOPE VI funds by evading environmental requirements. What they are not telling America is that the housing is mostly toxic.
Calling racism where it doesn't exist is never "fun and youth-friendly" - it's propaganda, plain and simple. The same racially divisive concept has been touted by Obama's former "green jobs" czar, Van Jones, who happens to be a self-avowed Communist.
Kind of like the offshore LPG platform that they want to put off the coast of Malibu.
All of Hollywood was up in arms when they considered placing it in the backyard of rich people's beach homes. Would they care as much if the LPG plant was to be placed at the port of Long Beach??
Great job, guys - this looks and sounds awesome. What a great way to present this issue. I hope it gets more hits than the hamster eating popcorn - it deserves to be huge!! :o)

That's awesome. Majora Carter's lecture on a green urban planning in the Bronx, was a major inspiration for us to research for this video.

Great point. Compare Long Beach to Malibu, and what is really the difference besides property values??

@nightfrog65
That's not racism, it's the NIMBY hypocrisy of liberal elites.
