Hey man just ran 50 rounds through this thing, and it shot wonderfully. I have heard alot of negative things about taurus in the past, but this thing rocked. Its my dedicated car gun now. Thanks for the vid by the way
@thehammerglock17 - I really don't know where the bad publicity came from. It really is a great little gun. I have shot my several more times since this vid and I have not had any problems.Thanks.
just purchased a hammerless model of this gun, with a speed loader, a set of hogue grips, and a box of 50 rounds for $150.00. I feel like i stole the gun. I hope it holds up. And thanks for the vid
Hey there, good overview. I'm curious, how much did you pay for this particular piece? I've seen these older Taurus 85s on Gunbroker for around $250-300. It's a neat little snub, as I'm approaching my 21st birthday, I'm seriously thinking of buying one in the near future.
@VolcanosGoBoom - I got it for $250 but I got some ammo and a couple or other things like a pistol grip for a shot gun with it. The price on this gun can vary depending on its condition, but I think $250 to $300 is a fair price for one in good shape. You may even find one cheaper than that at a gun show. I think that you would like it.
Thanks for your comment and Happy Upcoming Birthday!
I've got the stainless steel version SA/DA of this bought > 20 years ago. I keep it locked up & loaded for my wife or for me if I don't have time to load the 9mm. Reliable, simple, good finish and excl. warranty. I've fired at least 500 rounds thru it even a few +P with no trouble at all. I pulled it out once after being harassed on a dark country road for no reason. It covered my ass in a tight spot. I'll be keeping mine for sure.
@OhBeamMeUp - I shot mine again the other day with some friends of mine and everybody really likes this little pistol. You are right, this would be a handy little gun in a tight.
@sabretooth75 - Not bad at all, you hardly notice it. My wife really like this little pistol because of that and the fact that it is really easy to operate.
Nice gun how many rounds do you have through it? I hear a lot of negative things about taurus. I don't know if they are just snobby little Smith and Wesson fans bad talking them or what. But they are fairly priced, and they have a lifetime warranty. I would like to pick up a taurus someday to keep in the glove box.
@TheTriplets8x22x88 - I have shot about 125 round with this one and I have not had any problems. It seems to be a very nice and durable gun. I would buy another Taurus if I found soemthing I liked and this little .38 would be prefect to keep in the glove box.
